The full proof that the new Airport cannot be Duplo is the existence of the 5595 Airport that was only just released.

If a part is in a set that LEGO are still making, its a good bet that the part is an "active part" although it may not be.

I am pretty sure that we won't be able to order parts in colors that arent currently in a set.

What defines a "licensed part"? And what is a "restricted part"? For example, its obvious that a "Minifig, Weapon Gun, Blaster Long" is a licensed part. As is a "Minifig, Headgear Helmet SW Imperial AT-ST Pilot". But would a "Plate, Modified 4 x 4 with 2 x 2 Cutout" or a "Cylinder Hemisphere 4 x 4" be counted as a licensed part given that both of those parts are currently only available in the new Y-Wing set? Or would a "Leg Mechanical, Droid with Technic Pin" count as a licenced part (it has mostly appeared in Star Wars sets but HAS appeared in 2 non-starwars sets in the past) Would color have a bearing on whether a part is a "licensed part"? In any case this sounds like just the thing PALS (Perth Adult Lego Society) may want to take advantage of.

Looking at other sets, 7685 is the city bulldozer and 7686 is the helicopter transporter so 7864 could be a city set. No indication of any relavent sets numbered in the 720x range The 317x sets are all duplo so it would make sense for the ones listed here to be Duplo

WOW, thanks, looks good. In any case at least now I have some personal justification for buying the parts (the bulldozer links from the TIE crawler plus all the yellow plates etc from BL and other sources) having built the front end loader and the bucket conveyor.

Except that the instructions dont show how you build the bulldozer seen on the front page, only the front end loader.

I attempted to build the bulldozer from the one available picture but the angle is wrong to see how all the attachment beams fit together :(

In Australia, most of what happens is dictated by the huge power a handful of retailers have (Target, K-Mart, Big W, David Jones, MYER, Toyworld, Toys R Us). Those big retailers do things like: Hold back new sets (either because they have too many of older sets to clear first or because they dont want the new sets until a certain date due to sales, school holidays etc) Buy (and have on the shelves) LOTS of stock of crappy sets (Racers, Bionicle, Clone Wars) and NO stock of good sets (some new Creator, Space Police III, Indy) Secure exclusive rights (or limited-time-exclusive rights) to sets and themes (Space Police III, Wind Turbine Transport, new City, new Castle, Pirates, Spongebob) Remove sets from the shelf just before a sale (I have no proof this happens, just anecdotal evidence based on what I have seen)

I recently acquired the last piece I needed to put together the 856/951 bulldozer (getting all those 4xn and 6xn yellow plates was hard) and I have 2 questions: 1.Are there any instructions or other info on how to build the bulldozer (as opposed to the front end loader seen in the instructions) 2.What size rubber bands should be used for this set (I have so many different sizes its hard to tell) and 3.I just built the front end loader and I have noticed that when I use the turn wheels at the back to move the main gear rack (and raise the bucket), the bucket will not stay up (it keeps falling back down). Is this supposed to happen (i.e. its just a function of the fact that the bucket is heavy and gravity pulls it down) or did I build the model wrong?

1.Pirates version of the Medieval Market Village (could call it the Pirate Harbor) 2.Imperial ship 3.More imperial base (make it so that it combines with the current base for even more playability). 4.More small sets (putting more of the good pieces in the small sets) 5.Compass (even if it was just a printed 2 x 2 round tile rather than the expensive compass piece from the past sets) 6.More accessories of all kinds. 7.Don't bring fantasy items into Pirates

WOW, just WOW. I Just LOVE not only the Bishop but all the designs. Of all of them, I like the religious figures and Shepard the best. Although I think that this part: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3068bpb90 would look better for the Rabbi's scroll and one or more of these: (with or without printing/stickers) http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=33009 would look better for the monks books

The only new stuff I have seen in Myer lately is Racers stuff. Myer has a much crapper lego selection lately than they have in the past (with K-mart, Target and Big W having much better ranges)

I am a purist with the exception that I will use BrickArms or BrickForge parts (if I can ever get some) and probably BBB train wheels (although with my Emerald Night, I dont see the need for the BBB wheels anymore) I will not use any competitor projects (or any of the "fake" stuff), nor will I modify any parts.

My copy was purchased for 103 or so. Worth it if you can find a Target that has stock. (anyone in Perth, try Midland, they had stock left after I bought mine)

I bought the house today at the Target sale figuring that whilst it may come down in price below $100 in 6 months or 12 months or something, its not likely to go below the Target price between now and when I build the house I plan to build with its parts.

Toyworld in Subiaco and K-Mart in Inaloo both seemed to have stock of all the Power Miners except the base thing (which isn't out yet), all the new SW that isn't exclusive and the new Creator including the family home, red dragon, car carrier and I think the fire truck (not sure on that one though, the others were definatly spotted). Target in Inaloo seemed to have stock of the Star Wars and Power Miners as well as the red creator dragon. Based on what I saw (and what I heard from other targets on the phone, it looks like stock of all the creator sets is out there at Target, its just a matter of whether your store has gotten any yet and/or whether they have sold out (going to ring around tomorrow to find out if any Target stores I can get to have the Family House in stock) Also, the Toyworld in Subiaco had (in addition to still having stock of the Market Street), stock of the Star Justice. Not the Space Skulls, the Star Justice. Didn't take notice of price though (since I already own a Star Justice)

Great model. But you shouldn't use BMP files for posting pictures of your creation. You should use JPG or PNG.

Spotted the Hoth base, the Tank Droid, the Mid Scale falcon and the Crystal King at Target in Victoria Park today. And the %off sale is still going on so now is a good time to pick it up with a nice discount. May have seen other new Power Miners (Rock Wrecker) and Star Wars (Separatist Shuttle) but I cant remember for sure.

I was more commenting about the blue-sticker reissue http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=7245-2 which was released at the same time as the blue-sticker bike and car

Nice to see the pirates BP. Not so happy that all the classic spacemen are appearing in the vintage minifigure packs :( So many other classic figs they could have picked instead :(

Based on all the stores I visited recently (including several Targets, a K-Mart and a TRU) I can say that all the police bikes out there are the black sticker kind (Target and TRU had good stock, I forget if K-Mart had any bikes or not) and that all the police cars out there are the blue sticker kind (If you can find one with any stock left, Target does have it, K-Mart had none and TRU had good stock) No sign of any prisoner vans anywhere (with either sticker color), I suspect that that particular set is long gone.

I suspect the answer is that kids wouldn't like the muted tones as much as the bright colors.
