I think the best hope for that is for someone to build it as a custom factory design with LDD (or multiple designs for different parts)

LEGO has the perfect pieces for building a 4-wide plane and an 8-wide plane but does anyone have any ideas how to build one at 6-wide without the need to wait until next year for the new 6-wide parts?
-
Are there any decent pictures of the new blue passenger plane yet? Or is the one picture (as part of the scene from the back of the instructions) all we have?

I use these http://www.fischerplastics.com.au/ProductP...orageBoxes.html for storage of most of my parts. I also have a Plano Tackle Systems 3-tray tackle box that I store some stuff in (It was the first thing I bought when I got into LEGO) For parts I have lots of, I use various sizes of plastic drawer. Large parts like train wagon bases, base plates, ship hulls, large technic wheels and train track get stored in various sizes of large plastic tubs. I also have a large plastic tub for my collection of light and dark bley parts and a drawer for my red brown parts. (although if I keep buying sets like the crawler crane, my tub of bley parts will be full before too long) Have never sorted by color except for the new grays and brown.

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
jonwil replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
It might not have been the Eiffel Tower, it may have been another set. I just remember a set that was put out by MYER before the sale (which was in the catalog) but people were buying it before the sale which meant there weren't enough when the sale started. -

Thanks lightningtiger for the info on the crane, when I saw the price tag I thought it was a misprint but the set really IS $40. That's 60% off the RRP (Shop @ Home and Toys R Us both want 99.99 for it) which actually makes it worth purchasing. Also, if anyone is interested, I spotted the pirate shipwreck island in TRU Morley today (based on the box it appears to be a TRU exclusive like the Home One). Cant remember the price but being a TRU exclusive, its bound to be a rip-off :) No emerald nights at either of the 2 MYER stores I hit today, plenty of stock of just about everything else though (my guess is that the emerald night is being held back until the sale starts so that there isn't a repeat of what happened with the Eiffel Tower earlier in the year) -
Its not a Stetson, its a Fedora.

I am looking for ideas in building a coupe type car in 6-wide minifig scale (e.g. Aston-Martin). The car will be built in black with trans-smoke windows. I already figured out how to do the front, what I cant figure out is how to get the windscreen and then the smooth curve of the rear to look good. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Why cant any newspapers in the land down under do this :(

The three SW sets you'd like TLG to release
jonwil replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Death Star detention block set. Done as a 2-parter similar to the Final Dual sets. Set 1: Detention block control room, features: Control panel Elevator Security cameras/doodads (whatever it is that Han Solo shoots up) Han Solo in stormtrooper suit Chewbacca (with handcuffs on) Stormtrooper One of those imperial officer guys with the black helmets Set 2: Detention cell, features: Hallway section Detention cell Grate for garbage smasher Luke Skywalker in stormtrooper suit Princess Leia with bun hair Imperial interrogator droid Darth Vader Together these 2 sets would allow the recreation of all the scenes in the death star detention block. -
I want TLG to continue the Farm theme and introduce a sheep mold.
-
Did the parts selection change as a result of all this?
-
I like the new windscreen and I am glad its available in trans-light-blue.
-
How do you know those parts are made in china?

Now that house is GOOD. I LOVE the creator houses and this new one is going on my wishlist (if I have any money that is :)
-
Isn't this like the 3rd year in a row or so that TLG have released similar sized creator car sets? First was the yellow one then this year they had the green one and now they have this red one. Me, I am interested in another house (especially if it has a good selection of parts)

Actually, I dont think the map is new. I am fairly confident its this one: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3068bpb161

Do you prefer quantity or diversity when it comes to minifigs?
jonwil replied to ziljin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I prefer diversity since I like to have diversity in my MOCs. -
Wow this is good. I already own a Black Seas Barracuda (re-issue version) and didnt want a Brickbeards Bounty for that reason but this is just amazing and very likely to go on my wishlist. Wouldn't surprise me if Target here in Australia do what they did this year with the Medieval Market Village and picks this set up next year (they also have essentially the entire pirates range) EDIT: For those who complain about its price relative to the MMV, remember that it contains a fair number of large and/or expensive-to-produce specialty parts such as the cannon, sails, masts, rigging, hull etc
-
Cool MOC, has given me some inspiration for my own sports car (to be built in red) although mine will look more like a Ferrari or other similar super car. Good to know that the speed racer windscreen (which I was also planning to use) looks good on a car at this size.

That blue passenger plane doesn't look anywhere near as bad as the red one (or the previous red, blue and green ones). The fact that its not using the 1-piece wing is GREAT. And even the nose piece looks good (being 6-wide its a lot more usefull than the 8-wide monster is). Now I just want TLG to make it in black :)

Is that another use of the Hawaiian shirt from the giant Agents 2.0 robot I see there next to the female?
-
I dont know if its been suggested before but here is an idea I had: (this was back before they released the minifig death star with all the bits) Death Star Detention Block (done as 2 sets similar to the throne room from a while back) Set 1: Control station. Security cameras etc (the stuff they shoot at in the movie). Elevator with door. Han in stormtrooper suit with blaster Chewie in handcuffs One of those black imperial officer guys Stormtrooper with blaster Set 2: Prison cell. Grating leading down to the garbage pit. Hallway section. Luke in stormtrooper suit with blaster Leia with bun hair Darth Vader Imperial interrogation droid This set would allow you to recreate all the scenes from the death star detention as well as providing a cheaper set with bun-hair Leia in it.

The future of farm (contains spoilers for 2010 sets

I hope they make a sheep before the line ends (and that I can acquire a lot of 50 through LUGBULK :)
