I have here one of these in black http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4488 from an unknown source. When I hold this part up to a light source (such as my PC monitor) the part appears partially translucent. Is this normal for such parts or does it indicate a failing in the moulding process? I have several other examples of this part in black in front of me which are fine.

Nice set, its good to get some different figs. And being the size that it is, it might actually be affordable (unlike Diagon Alley :)

I think the goats look good. I am hoping TLG does something with sheep in it though (that I can then order via LUGBULK and use for a sheep station :)

The dash of the blue boat is one of these http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=62360 in white stacked on top of some other parts

All 3 helmets are correct for the orcs The first minifig is this one http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=cas353 except with legs instead of the dress slope The staff in her hand is made from this http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x12 plus a 1 x 1 cone and one of these http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4095 The second fig has this armor http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2587pb09 The shield is not LEGO but everything else in your photos is LEGO. That ovoid shield with the skull on it is a skeleton shield. In any case congrats on picking up what looks like a reasonable selection of Castle minifig parts :)

The corner piece first appeared in the Hogwarts board game in Tan and is also available in Tan in the Pharaoh's Quest pyramid. This is the first time it has appeared in white though.

The speedboat set holds no interest for me whatsoever. The marina looks better than I expected, whether I get one depends on the price.

If anyone is looking for them, the new Atlantis sets are now in MYER perth CBD. -
This is different to the "brickmaster" program that TLG operates. This is a series of books published by DK and containing LEGO pieces. To date there has been a Pirates brickmaster book, an Atlantis brickmaster book and a Castle brickmaster book and I think also a Starwars brickmaster book.\

Do we know for sure if these are final and not prelims? -
Look at all that new weaponry in the blacksmiths shop. New sword. New double-headed axe. What looks like a smaller dagger Plus some stuff on the ground that's hard to see because the chicken is in the way.

I like the looks of the guy with the glasses and suit (and hope I dont have to buy the most expensive set in the line to get him) The female with the 2 x 2 tile and microphone looks great too, as does that farmer with the pitchfork. And is that a female blue astronaut (last fig in the rotation) None of the aliens really do it for me (not as bad as the Mars Mission aliens though)

From the video we have: Female performer with pink boom-box Detective with possible new hat, magnifying glass and nice clothes Axeman with baseball cap and new axe Clown with short green legs, blue bowler hat and pie (no printing on the bowler hat so it may not be a finalized part) Zookeeper with monkey/ape and banana Cleopatra with snake and dress slope Graduating student with mortarboard, gown and printed tile (university degree maybe?) Godzilla guy with Godzilla mask Cavewoman with club and new hair (and the bone in her hair) Gladiator with round shield, new helmet and new sword Mobster with black fedora, new suit torso, violin case (which looks like it opens up ala the suitcase) and revolver (I am hoping the revolver is a prelim part and TLG are going to give the guy something better but I doubt it) Male snowboarder with beanie and new snowboard print Dwarf with beard, small round shield, axe and winged helmet British guard with hat and what appears to be the Western rifle piece (or a new moulding of it) Eskimo with new fur hood and fishing rod Boxer with boxing gloves and head protection (based on the head protection its clearly an amateur boxer rather than a professional boxer) So far based on what I have seen, I am putting the mobster as #1 on my list (and I want at least 3 for the suit alone) My want list at this point is: 1 Female performer maybe (for the pink boom-box and the hair) 0 Detectives (unless the hat turns out to be a good fit for modern day figs somewhere) 1, maybe 2 Axemen (for the axe, clothes and baseball cap) 1 Clown (for the pie and the short green legs plus that blue bowler may come in handy) 0 Zookeepers 0 Egyptian queens 1 Student (the mortarboard is cool, as is the printed tile) 0 Dinosaur suit guys 0 Cavewomen 0 Gladiators At least 3 Mobsters, possibly more (especially if the revolver is only prelim and they use a new gun design) 2 Snowboarders 0 Dwarves 0 British Guards (dont like the hat much, dont need the rifle either) Maybe 1 Eskimo for the hood 1, maybe 2 Boxers for the boxing gloves -
Thanks for the tips, ended up going with a Batman pistol and a set of BrickForge brass knuckles for my courtroom scene (where I have an outlaw motorcycle gang member on trial for drugs charges) Will hopefully be placing an order for some BrickArms in the near future once the tan cricket bat is available (the Zombie Defense pack isn't available to Australia) Need to place another BrickForge order too (but waiting for the next mould of products to do that)

Does anyone have any ideas for minifigs parts/accessories to use for building thugs/criminals? Specifically weapons is where I am stuck, there just arent that many that look good...

Does the Captains Cabin include the 1 x 1 printed compass tile? (at least I think its a compass) -
Nice MOC, the colors look great. I do wonder how well weed would grow in a low-g environment though :P

I hope the Judge is real. Although unfortunatly if it is real, it wont be available in time for my courthouse MOC (the layout in which my courthouse is appearing is happening before the release of S5 unfortunately :( ) -
The castle thing isn't a rumor, we have prelim pictures of the animals in question.

Does anyone here have the clear astronaut bubble piece http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=61287 and/or the bionicle sphere? And also the curved bricks? If so, could someone try and re-create the globe in the captains cabin set, that should allow us to answer the question of what parts are used... -
I am inclined to believe the "pet shop" theory as it came from a source who would be likely to have inside information (i.e. a retailer who is presumably going to stock the next modular building at some point)

The best thing about these minifigs is that we get things that would never exist in normal themes (like the punk rocker or the rapper or the caveman). I do wonder how many parents have said "no" to these collectible figs because they dont necessarily approve of the themes of some of them (e.g. the S1 skateboard punk or the S3 rapper) -

Damn you TLG, there are too many cool pieces in these sets (even for someone who builds City) to say no to. The captains cabin is a must-have for the bottles, world globe, round tile with printing (looks like a map or compass or something), scabbard and long bones (one less reason to buy NinjaGo) Plus there are cool parts in the other sets too, the grey ribbed column parts, new gold bar and gold coins, bottles, bucket, small arched door piece, painting, new colors of hair, trans-blue bits in the fountain, not to mention all the bits we cant see (inside the ship for example) With these sets, new HP, Diagon Alley, Alien Conquest, City Space, Kingdoms and more, its going to be another expensive year if I buy everything I want to buy. (although none of the City Harbor sets appeal to me so that's one less thing to consider and I dont build train so the Maresk train is out)
