The Creator sets for 2010 and 2011 so far seem to be a bit of a letdown compared to Creator sets of the past The Apple Tree House and Log Cabin are nowhere near as good as the Family Home, Beach House or Model Town House IMO. And the Creator sets of 2010 and 2011 dont seem to be the GREAT parts packs previous Creator sets were (e.g. the 3 aforementioned houses, the white convertible or the green dragon)

Seeing how good this is has made me think about building a Bank for the next club train layout. Well not a bank actually but a Police & Nurses Credit Society branch (they are the only financial institution still based in Western Australia)

Looks much better. An ANZ logo sticker on that 1 x 4 tile just above the ATM (white on blue background) would complete the look IMO and make it absolutely clear who's ATM it is :)

Is it just me or are those 1 x 4 tiles in trans-dark-blue in the new sets? Don't think we have had trans tiles in sizes other than 1 x 1 or 1 x 2 before.

Do we know if the skeleton biker will or wont have the black helmet yet? Or will we have to wait until someone actually buys the set? The box art picture posted shows the helmet but other pictures do not...

These all look good and I want all of them, so many cool new parts and stuff. Only question is money and whether I put money towards police/city, Pharaoh's Quest (a few cool parts and figs plus a lot of tan/brown/dark tan/related colors), Diagon Alley, other sets (NASA/Space) or into my "I want a new mobile phone" account... :) Plus I hope there will be another modular comming out in 2011 and I hope that it will be better than the Grand Emporium.

Looking good as always. I would suggest changing some of the grey around the ANZ ATM into blue to fit with the ANZ color scheme, I think it would look better. I also think that the part on the payphone just above the tile with all the buttons on it should be a different color, say blue or orange to fit with the Telstra color scheme. Just some thoughts based on looking at the pictures.

Regarding Grand Emporiums in Perth, as of last Thursday there was one on the shelf in the CBD store (which I promptly bought having finally decided that yes I could afford one :). As of tonight there were none on the shelf at all (plenty of Fire Brigades though if you want one of those). No idea if Karrynup has any Emporiums or not. The other option is to just buy from the DJs online store and pay the $13 shipping charge :)

Melbourne is a GREAT city and I would love to go back (and see the stuff I couldn't see last time) as well as eat all the nice food you guys have that we dont :)

No reason a vampire cant have an organ. Really fits with the whole "spookiness" of the vampire thing. (and the spookiness of the style of castle normally associated with vampires) For some reason though, the shape of that organ makes me think of the Count from Sesame Street and his Counting Organ :)

I just wish I could make it and bring something cool like one of my buses or my Holden dealer. But I keep spending my money on LEGO :P (like the Grand Emporium I bought, plus the BrickForge and BrickLink orders)

I searched and didnt find anything but is there a complete list of all known 2011 sets out there? Its hard to follow individual theme threads and to identify whats what (i.e. whats Duplo and whats City for example)

Can anyone (say someone who saw this at a show) tell me what dark green parts come in it? Looking at the pictures, it comes with: 1 x 2 x 3 windows 1 x 2 x 2 windows cheese slopes plant leaves plume pieces wizzard hat Does it include any other parts in dark green? Also, does anyone know how many dk green windows the set includes? (I count 14 of the 1 x 2 x 3 and 11 of the 1 x 2 x 2)

Thanks for all the info, the shapeways stuff doesnt seem like its what I want because it doesnt come in the right colors. Looks like my best bet at this point is some of the BrickForge muskets (which are flintlock rather than the later percussion lock but are otherwise as close as you can get)

WOW, does that truck have the rollerdoor pieces last seen in the 2005 fire truck set? If so, cool, I want some of those parts but dont want to pay BL prices for them :)

Nice looking post office. I think that some post office boxes (either as a sticker or a bunch of black plates) would look great on one of the walls. Lots of small town post offices have post office boxes for all the people who live too far away for the postie to deliver to.

What happened when Westfarmers took over is that K-Mart shifted focus. The focus is now on lower everyday prices rather than on blanket % off sales although they do seem to be good for clearence prices if you can actually find stock :)
