  1. No need to be upset. I Think we are all just offering our two cents as you are yours. We are in a forum full of thousands of people - surely there will be some disagreements. But hopefully we can turn this into a healthy discussion rather than an unhealthy argument.
  2. Receive none? This year's constraction based sets are hands down, the best CCBS sets we've gotten. I could repeat all the reasons Bionicle has gotten more focus than most themes, but those reasons have been iterated over and over before. It's great that you love Bionicle and the sets- I'm sure almost everyone in this topic does too- but Lego has already given us so much for Bionicle. I think we should be happy with what we have- this is certainly much more of a marketing push that Bionicle got in its later years. The assertion that removing the gearbox, piston add on, and mask makes it "Hero Factory" just doesn't make sense to me. I think the problem is the mindset that every CCBS- based constraction set is "Hero Factory" is flawed. What about Chima, Super Heroes, and now Star Wars? Hero Factory was merely the theme that introduced CCBS. CCBS doesn't necessarily have to mean "Hero Factory." In addition, I don't really think Hero Factory was that bad for what it was. Sure, it had its share of clone sets, but Bionicle had years and years of clone sets back on the day. Witch Doctor, one of he best HF sets, easily trumps other Titans of Bionicle such as Sidorak or Krekka. And even if removing the armor, pistons, masks, and weapons really does make the sets "Hero Factory," the fact is, the sets INCLUDE said items. Those are what sets these Bionicles apart from the clone sets of HF, and gives each Bionicle it's own individuality.
  3. Not sure if this is on topic or not, but the weekly mask hunt winners have been revealed. The fact that I own the object depicted in the Mask of Ice's pic and could have entered it makes me very sad... EDIT: sorry, never mind, I got Kapura'd by Scarilian...
  4. I'm really sorry, and I try not be be a grammar Nazi, but the plural of Lego is not "Legos..." Anyway, going back on topic. I agree with Mandate that some of the elemental fighters played extremely crucial roles, such as Neuro, Chamille (who had basically an entire epsiode devoted to her), and Shade. These characters arguably had bigger roles than even Turner, who actually got a Minifig.
  5. Seems like Aquaman's present as well... The orange top with green pants + sandy hair gives it away...
  6. Anyone hoping we will get the rest of the elemental masters with Dimensions?
  7. A bit off topic, but is anyone else disappointed that Lego Dimensions does not include Elves? It seems perfect for the "Dimensions" theme... Ah well, there's always next year.
  8. Time to start scanning CN's (horrid!!) website to see if they post them early this time! (Doubt it, as hopefully they learned from their past mistake, but worth a try.) And then there's always Curtis Cheung, who gets the episodes early is they are released early in Asia. This is, however, counting on the fact that they will be released early in Asia....
  9. If LEGO doesn't actually make this, I'm making my own as soon as the Airjitsu stuff comes out. Now THAT's a good idea!
  10. Sorry about not citing the specific user. I had saved the images when I had voted in the BBC entry, and I didn't want to sift through all the polls to find it again. Glad you recognized that it was inspired by your great MOC! Thanks for the suggestions, I completely agree. These are my first CCBS MOCs, so I am still learning/exploring how to MOC with the system. Thanks for the great feedback! Gratuitous treads...... now that gives me an idea to make a Rahi whose body is shaped around a tread.....
  11. I love these scenery shots, but to me it really is a shame that the webisodes don't really cover all that much scenery sans golden mask shrines and the lost city. Sure, we get some snapshots, but there isn't that open exploration of Gen1 feel to me as before... (Yay, apparently I'm a count now!)
  12. Thank you! I can try to make instructions, but I'm going out of town tomorrow and won't be back till Saturday. I can see if I can get instructions out by next weekend at he latest... I'll try to take some pics with all the armor removed and see if you can reverse-engineer it from those right now though. Thank you! Thanks. I actually kind of agree; to me only the Tarakava really harkens back to he original... Any suggestions?
  13. That's true, good point.
  14. Yeah, I'm excited to see what EPisode 2 has in store as basically all of the sets, including the summer wave, were featured in episode one... It would most likely depict the 2016 winter wave, but I'm not sure how soon "Coming soon" is, as we still have the rest of 2015 to wait for all the sets featured in episode 1...
  15. Thanks! I dismembered all iterations of Nex and some iterations of Stringer to do so, though
  16. Hello all, Recently, I have been inspired to recreate the monsters of Gen 1 Bionicle in CCBS. Inspired by many creations around the web (with a few original creations), I present the Rahi of 2001, revamped! Hopefully, this will inspire other (much better MOCers than myself) to create the Rahi in CCBS as well... EDIT: For some reason I'm getting a "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." error when trying to post too many pics... Anyway, here are the main pics, the rest are on my photostream. Muaka: The Great Cat (Yes, I know the color scheme is that of a Kane-Ra... Sorry about that) Tarakava: Deep Sea Predator Wheelie time! Nui-Rama: The Ravenous Fly Nui-Jaga: Scorpion Striker (Credit to BZP for the awesome eye design) Manas: Killer Crab Bonus: LOSS Revamp! He retains the gripping function, but also has a six-stud shooter in his mouth. I don't recall exactly where I saw a LOSS MOC with the stud shooter, but it sure is a great idea! Bonus #2: Rahkshi: Son of Shadows Another BZP inspired MOC That's it for today! I'll close with the statement that CCBS is awesome! Now time to make Cahdok and Gahdok.....
  17. Definitely not Lego, that's for sure...
  18. Good guy. Hands down. To be serious, I loved Vezon and Fenraak, but mostly for the storyline character of Vezon. For build, Maxilos and Spinax scores top points, with 08 Takanuva a top contender.
  19. Neat design! Now time to implement this...
  20. Argh! Really fell for that well placed DisneyTMTM branded AprilTM Fool'sTM Disney party!TM! ArghTM!
  21. Certainly a lot more aesthetically pleasing!
  22. Hello Eurobricks, Some of you who may know me know that I am an avid fan of all things technology. I love Photoshopping images and I love 3D printing. So when Toa Leewan sent me a bunch of stl files to 3D print, I was overjoyed. I decided to photoshop the Protector of Ice, showcasing his new part, in an icy environment. I then continued to do it for some other characters, as you can see below. Thus, the Bionicle Poster Project was born. This is my attempt to render the original and new characters in a more "lifelike" setting. You may notice that most of the characters in the pictures are modified, but I tried to stick as close to the original aesthetic as possible (with the exception of the Protectors). Starting now, if anyone is interested, I will take suggestions as to what characters to depict in their "natural" environment next. If I do not have the specific character, feel free to take a picture of the set for me against a plain background. If you want to do a MOC in this style, feel free to attach a clear picture of the MOC and a description of what background you want it in. Anyway, without further ado, here's the pictures! Enjoy and let me know what you think!
  23. Creativity, you say? Well, we all know the competition was Lego's last-ditch effort to come up with more creative mask designs after making all the Protectors have he same mask... ;) just kidding I actually think it's quite a creative competition, and certainly less repetitive than the countless building competitions...
