Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
DuckBricks replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Wait... What? Nice! It's a shame they probably won't appear in the show... -
Where's the LEGO Ideas Doctor Who set?
DuckBricks replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, the set comes out in December, and Wall•E was officially revealed August 14 and it came out September 1, so probably November 14ish?- 7 replies

True, but the 2015 Toa had front box images didn't exactly show their gearboxes off...

Lego Ninjago 2016
DuckBricks replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The mouth on it looks odd... Perhaps in the show its disguised as a mountain carving, and then flies up in the air... The side engines are sweet, but orange is a weird color choice... -
The image is flipped; you can tell from the main set form

"Who is the signatory of the graphic novel? What it is going in this? Additional Story or from the book? RW: I’m scripting the graphic novels too. I can’t say much about the stories, but I think it’s okay if I say that they’re more than adaptations, that we’re using them as opportunities to expand on the characters, locations and history." This tidbit about the graphic novels popped up in an interview with Ryder Windham, looking forward to them!

Lego Ninjago 2016
DuckBricks replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Unfortunately, we haven't seen any set pictures yet, only descriptions of prelims, so I don't think even the leakers can help you out as it's all prelim... When we get official pics, I'll fill you in, though! -
I'm retracting what I said earlier; just seeing the worlds come together has convinced me a bit more. I'm almost pretty much sold on the game now after seeing everything fall together. I can't wait to see what the other theme crossovers will be like...

Lego Ninjago 2016
DuckBricks replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Oops, sorry. I'll go check. EDIT: I've read them, thanks. I wonder if the "grey/dark green ninja" is Cole. I mean, he's a ghost, so he's probably greenish, and the grey has been in his color scheme since this year, so I can see it being probable... -
Lego Ninjago 2016
DuckBricks replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Huh. Odd... I'm actually liking the mix of villain races and kinds; it makes them seem like an assorted band of misfit pirates than a cohesive army. CM4Sci - did you post a list of set descriptions, or just tidbits? Is it possible to post set descriptions here and drawings perhaps on TTV or elsewhere? Thanks! -
I'm really trying to resist the game because of funding issues, but I'll be definitely picking up a few favorites like all the Doctor Who sets...

Ooo, that torso is pretty neat! I didn't even realize it had a custom torso from the front pic, so that's a plus. Could you post a back pic?

Lego Ninjago 2016
DuckBricks replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Is the ghost a ninja? It may be Cole... -
I was hoping for a bit more individuality with the Creatures (Akida and Ketar are really the only unique ones with two flying ones and two bipedal walking ones that look really similar), but it's certainly a lot more individuality than the Protectors.

Prelims almost always change builds until the final product is revealed. However, it is true that if you don't like them, you probably won't like the final sets, as the prelims are always a good representation. Personally, I think the reason so many people in this forum don't like the sets is because it's miscategorized as a Historical Theme. I'm sure that all the Ninjago, Elves, and Chima fans over in Action and Adventure will love these (like me). As far as those people who say that LEGO stated that this is a castle theme, the only indication is a Kingdom, Knights, and Castles. Saying that this is a castle theme is the same as saying Ninjago is a Historical ninja theme because there's a Sensei and ninjas.

Haven't seen the sets, but maybe by "anime" they mean Mixel eyes?

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
DuckBricks replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
They better not undo the hours upon hours I spent watching "canon..." :( Hoping they don't do that; there's not much reason for the show to go in that direction... -
I love how the Chaos Chariot has so much character, but unfortunately the black Technic assembly is a tad distracting. Curious as to how this appears in the TV series... The Robo-horse is a bit of a let down, but I'm hoping that central wheel indicates a really cool transforming feature... Yeah.. Unless there's more than three images, where did it say it was a Castle theme? Not in the bottom text, that's for sure...

Thanks, but 1.) we've already been discussing those in the 2016 topic, 2.) this is the 2015 topic, and 3.) it's against the rules to post confidential pics here at Eurobricks... Just a heads up!

75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters Discussion
DuckBricks replied to kelceycoe's topic in LEGO Licensed
It's a shame that the Lego basically took the Ideas submission, rejected it, and made their own set out of it so they wouldn't have to give profits to the creator of the set. I know that Ideas sets have price and part restrictions, but that's really cold... -
I just how they're in the connectable sets, which I'm hoping are theme crossover sets...
-
Yeah, the leaks showed them facing front with the backs hidden so even if they had yellow gears, they would be concealed by the pose. Gearboxes are extremely likely.

No gearboxes? That's immensely disappointing. Well, they may have changed the back gear to black, and people missed it. Unless the Toa have some new great function...
