LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Regimus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'd be interested to see if some clones built at miniland scale would work with the UCS Gunship. The ones at LEGOLAND are a bit ugly but I imagine they could be updated with newer parts. -
The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
Regimus replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As someone who yearned for a 10030 and 10179 for so long and resorted to the secondary market / bricklink eventually, I now sort of understand the people who say they shouldn't remake them, the same people who had the sets from the beginning. It would be easy to become bitter if the price flopped, but I imagine it would rebound eventually. However, it would be foolish for TLG not to remake or try these sets again, as I'm sure anyone who has built either would agree they wouldn't pass today's quality control in terms of fragility. -
"Battle damaged" Stormtrooper transformation
Regimus replied to La Chupacabra's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the inspiration Chupacabra! This works a treat, I even had success without the tape (I used electrical). I found that if I was careful I could do it by eye and I got it down to about 10 mins per figure, just using brasso and cocktail sticks. -
Nice, I always wanted to bricklink this and use those windscreens. Do you have an image of the entire model with the new parts?

I think it's more likely that TLG will change the stormtrooper design in one way or another.

No, TLG will be releasing a "helmet pack" that includes Sabine's new helmet and the three helmets for the old timer clones for £19.99

Bricklinking the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon :-)
Regimus replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Can't say I blame him, they've gone for more in the past. -
Bricklinking the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon :-)

Are those genuine?! Also, why four? -
This is excellent, I'm hoping to bricklink the official batpod as I have the tires and shields ready. I would much rather build your version, though! Do you have an LDD file or could you provide instructions/breakdown pics? Thanks!

Excellent figures, make the set worth the price for many. Set is underwhelming as a display piece, but adequate as a play set for kids. I purchased two sets and combined them, I'm fairly happy with the result. You can't quite make a full circle but I managed 7 sides of an octagon.

Just bought R5-J2 from bricklink. My astromech collection is now complete (except for clone wars and the old style, neither of which I like the look of)

[WIP] Any feedback before I complete this Imperial Star Destroyer?
Regimus replied to Raskolnikov's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Holy hell, this thing is incredible. Good job! -
Just a bit of a joke rant. I'm not desperate for a load of troops, but I might have gotten a couple of packs if they were plain.
-
I really, really want a battle pack of storm troopers that are nearly the same as the OT ones in the ISD and Slave I, but they have smears all over the armour. There is nothing I want more. An army of troops with exactly the same battle damage would be ideal. Please do this, LEGO. It is without a doubt what every fan / army builder wants. Also throw in a figure that there would only ever be one of for every 1000 storm troopers, such as an officer. What we really want is for 25% of our army to be officers. I hope someone important reads this. /s

If anyone is wondering what the Eta-2 looks like in red, I made one when Anakin's came out (and a blue one). The parts were nice and cheap from bricklink and the red flags are cheaper since they came in the Jedi Scout Fighter.

Nice mods, Solo. Could you do a breakdown of your cockpit mods, please? I changed mine to a system scale falcon-like design, but I like yours much better!

Brikclinking a LEGO Set Does it contain sand green? No - Give it a try! Yes - Give up

You won't regret it!

I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread, Soul , I won't cram it full of deeplinked images. Here's a couple of links if anyone is interested. If you don't have 10212 already, get it. I have the Shuttle, Y, X & B wings, TIE, Slave I, Sandcrawler and Faclon. For me the shuttle is second only to the Falcon, and looks incredible if you cover all of the studs with tiles.

[MOC] Obi-Wan's Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor
Regimus replied to khatmorg's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi khatmorg, I want to say thank you for providing the instructions for this. I built it a long time ago and lost the link! I agree with you, your model is too complex and far too good to be an official set. This is without a doubt the best JSF I have built.- 24 replies

Cheers hold! I will make a thread when I get the chance as I've made more mods since. The body is actually the same size. I moved the "wings" that hold the pylons back several studs, shortened the pylons massively (the solid parts and the tubes), and completely redesigned the cockpit area making it much larger. Like you said, greebles all round, too.
-
I like to put minifigs in my UCS sets too! The heads look about the right size so it works for me. Mine looks very different now though, thinking about making a thread for it. Solo, your stickers actually look better than the official ones.

Props to everyone bricklinking 10179. I've thought about doing some smaller UCS sets, I always end up far too impatient. My mind melts at the thought of keeping track of all those parts. What would that be? Your third? Fourth? Now if you were to do a snowspeeder, you never know who might be interested in it
