  1. Ah, no they aren't secure, I've been thinking of just taking them down, they don't really add much to the design. If you guys don't see anything wrong with it, I guess I'll start the bodywork then! I'll keep y'all posted!
  2. Ello all, been a while since I've posted an MOC here. Over this weekend, I've been working on a studfull build (haven't built like this for a long time) My aim was to make a small-mid scale rod, with realistic functions. It contains: 4 speed gearbox v6 fake engine Cowl steering (HOG) Not to mention the 'gothic' shredded interior. However, before I start the main bodywork, it's just that when I look at it so far, it doesn't seem right... http://imgur.com/a/fCTuH Edit: @Jim - Thank you for the tip - I have resized them all to a max width of 1000, which should be fine! What do you guys think? - What's that thing that isn't right, or anything to improve? (Will post progress here too) - I will be finishing the build definitely! Thanks! - Enderman
  3. http://imgur.com/w0bjBbH Both lowered here http://imgur.com/aUr64iw Close-up of rear mechanism You can see that the smaller black bevel gear turns the larger one on each side, making 2 separate mechanisms. Then, this is connected to 2 large grey 1/2 bevels, which ultimately connect to a worm screw on each side. http://imgur.com/25Nfj8f After this, this worm transfers rotation the other way with a small gear, which connects to the outriggers. The top support bar is not connected to this mechanism, it only serves as a stabilization method, to stop the outriggers falling over when extended. Hope this helps!
  4. It looks to me like you've left too much space between the tan gear and the 1/2 liftarm. I doubt it's as simple as pushing it up a bit, but that's all I can see from here really Hope this helps :) PS. Could you show us all some nice pics of the instruction booklet or something too? Perhaps some more angles on that picture?
  5. Brilliant work on the cab. You really capture the feel of the truck! :)
  6. Yeah, they go down individually. They're controlled by those 2 red knobs at the back. :) I might, however my camera skills are terrible. I might give it a go, though.
  7. Thank you very much! :) Will definitely be making more when I get time of a weekend. x)
  8. Greetings to you! This is my first post, and would like some feedback on my new MOC. Built over the span of 3 weekends, I'd say I'm rather craned out. Nonetheless, 'tis a crane truck with flatbed, although the crane is mounted on the rear, unlike most models. It's not based on anything in particular, but let me know if it looks similar to a real vehicle x) Tried to make the front as detailed as possible, using studded elements, and I thought that looked extremely nice. Apologies for the atrocious photography skills, but I tried my best. If you want the pictures smaller and easier to see, go to the imgur link (http://imgur.com/a/cIeGk) They don't seem to want to come out at the correct size on Eurobricks. Rant over, I present to you: http://i.imgur.com/AjgAClX.jpg Observe the minifigure precariously dangling from that crane. x) http://i.imgur.com/MQSwSl3.jpg The rear section comes complete with a rotating crane, (Through 270 degrees) Functioning outriggers (They actually lift the truck) and features a pneumatic boom, with an adjustable crane hook. Aesthetics are quite crude here, but I feel it makes it look realistic. http://i.imgur.com/aDV3NP1.jpg It is evident I'm quite short on those 5x11 plates (I bought 8081) so had to improvise. You can see another view of the crane, too. http://i.imgur.com/Y1ip3qV.jpg Chassis. Nothing special here, but it all works. It is fully RC and controlled by 1 XL motor for drive, (at a 1:1 gear ratio) and 1 M motor for steering. If you want pics of anything else, just ask me and I'll happily provide (I won't edit them, though) Any feedback appreciated! Thanks! - Evil Enderman
  9. Nice review! Decided to make a quick one x) Brilliant set for such a small size.
