  1. I never thanked you for allowing me to play in this game. Thanks badboytje88, it was fun while it lasted. Also, I hate to be pedantic, but you keep spelling it 'Deceast'. It should be 'Deceased'.
  2. Alright, we're back, let's do this! ... I would like to step onto the boat. Really though. What do we have? Black fabric, dark blue fabric, puddles of blood. Ominous. I would like to search the boat. It's pretty small, I think I'm capable of searching it through. Maybe this boat has some delightful clues for us. Also, I advise anyone who hasn't come forth with their clues yet to do so. We are all in grave danger after all, and the only way to get through this is to work together. There's only one bad guy, and plenty more of us. Let's do this.
  3. If you turn up a loyal Yakuza, then our 'cop' will have to answer for it. I have faith in the investigation though, so I shall place my vote with confidence. Vote: Hiroki (Etzel)
  4. Whoa, would you look at that. I suppose with so many of us here, we should have seen a second scum faction coming. But hey, now we know and they've lost their element of surprise! This is good, very good. It's a great shame to have lost grandmother and Jirou, but to make up for it, we've got another lead! So, Hiroki, what say you on this matter?
  5. Vote: Someone other than Minoru (VolcanicPanic) That was a joke. I'm not that daft. Looks like easy pickings today. Vote: Minoru (VolcanicPanic) I'm not really understanding this Goon thing though. 'Goon' is a term for a scum with a distinct lack of role, it isn't really a role in itself. Which leaves me puzzling as to how a role cop can determine someone is a goon, when it should have just determined said target has 'no action' or something. Revealing them as a 'Goon' elevates the role-cop ability to investigator as well. It's hard to believe.
  6. Happy birthday guys! I hope y'all have a great one.
  7. Three more of us dead in such short a time! Oh, it's a sad sight seeing this family tear itself apart. But we shall seek out and remove these scummy Mutineers! So if there are two blockers, and one has been revealed as Yakuza (Tadao, rest his soul), then the other blocker must be scum. It's the more likely, logical conclusion. Lex parsimoniae, and all that. I suppose there's a chance that there are two Yakuza blockers and no Mutineer blocker, but I don't think we'd be that lucky. And it's quite likely that the scummy Mutineer blocker role-claimed to a loyal Yakuza to gain their trust, then followed their suggested actions to seal that trust. It's a good plan for a Mutineer to use, as they could launch a surprise strike at a critical moment. At least, it would have been a good plan had both the blockers not role-claimed... I'll wait for this alleged scum blocker, Minoru to speak up first, though Shizuko's recap of Minoru's defence of Yasu was a rather valid. It's not looking good, Minoru. We await your explanation.
  8. This song randomly became stuck in my head today. Although I don't listen to them much now, Hurt is still my favourite band and I'm looking forward to their new album this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3BhAZDSuHk
  9. I have this feeling that grandfather Ichirou-sama is a loyal Yakuza, so I won't be placing a vote against him. He did confuse me by claiming to be entirely paranoid, yet contradicting this because he's 'a sucker for role-claims'. Role-claims are what one should be most suspicious of. At the end of the day, if he comes out as green goop then I will have to seriously rethink my alliances in this. If he comes out as orange goop, then we shall all have to heed his final words. If I may speak directly, Ichirou-sama, I advise you to speak your piece now, get anything you want out there, out there. Make sure anything you know that can help the Yakuza is passed on to the ones you trust most. It seems your fate is pretty much sealed this day. Find peace in the embrace of an honourable death, and if you are a loyal Yakuza then you can still succeed in spirit with the rest of us.
  10. Oh no, of course. Example A seems scummy, but example B seems inexperienced. Clearly we should eliminate our inexperienced team-mate instead of the person whom we think is our enemy. That's... that's solid, sound logic. Sorry for the massive dose of sarcasm there, but the way you worded that... well, it wasn't the best. Anyway, I'm not one to pick on people, so I'll drop it for now. Besides, it seems I'm not the only person who picked up on it... I'm not sure about dear mother. She's been acting a bit odd, hasn't she? Maybe this situation has driven her over the edge. I don't believe she is a 'Jester' trying to get herself killed, as admitting to that is a cry for attention that would bring that behaviour to a stop. (A Jester never tells it's secret, see. That's cheating.) So I don't know what she's up to, but surely a scum wouldn't be so daft as to make such an absurd role-claim out of nowhere - that's like painting a target on your forehead, with a neon sign pointing to it that reads "Mutineer!". Unless she's trying to use reverse psychology, but I think that's too risky a gambit for a scum to take. My money's on her just being mad. About grandfather Ichirou-sama, I have to say a lot of what I've been hearing from him has not sat well with me. I can't think of any specifics right now, but I will see if I can't garner up a few after another short nap. I'm getting tired already... Oh! Being so distracted by mother's outbursts, I completely forgot about Lloyd-Bō! They say children are the future, perhaps the Mutineers are striking at the future Yakuza...
  11. Oooh. Whoa. I apologise for over-sleeping, this whole ordeal has been exhausting. I tried listening to what had been said earlier, but I was in no condition to take any of it in, and only now have I caught up on it all. It's left me awfully confused though. What on Earth are you up to, Okaa-san?! Mother's antics are baffling. I'm making sense of it, but it's not explaining anything. She can't be a 'Jester', as great-great-grandfather Lloyd-sama would have mentioned something about it, surely. So then, why make the claim if you're not a Jester? If you're trying to use it to not get lynched as a form of defence, then claiming out-right that you are the Jester nullifies that, so it just... I'm not understanding the reasoning behind it.
  12. It makes sense. Tabitha St. Germain, the voice original Derpy, didn't know Derpy was female and so voiced her like 'the boy next door'. This new voice still fits Derpy's personality, and is more feminine. The only qualms I have about this editing is removing Rainbow's Dash reference to Derpy by name. That's just unnecessary.
  13. Happy birthday Fangy! Hope you have a great one man!
  14. No sir. We could previously place the lower half of half-blocks, and we could stack half-blocks on top of one another, but only if they were the same type. It appears we will now be able to place the top half of half-blocks without the lower half, thus allowing for more expansive decoration and loads more possibilities for creating. And stuff.
  15. Well how about that? Just earlier he was saying how they'd need to look into it more as it was more complicated than simply inverting it. They figured that one out quick-smart. Another thing to look forward to then.
  16. Uh, I'm not sure how it happened, but I've become weirdly obsessed with The Powerpuff Girls closing credits song. Oh yes, that's right, I saw a video that had Christian Bale (the Batman one, yes) singing it. Which led to me waxing nostalgic by listening to the actual song over and over, which led to me learning that it's performed by the Scottish indie pop band Bis, which lead to me listening to it some more. A link, in case anyone's curious and wants to give it a listen...
  17. Bahaha! Well at least you won't be having any Creeper troubles! (Creepers run away from cats, in case you didn't know.) Well it looks like Jens and the team are spending the next week working on bug fixes and the like instead of new features, in preparation for a possible 1.2 release. So, yay for that! Also,
  18. Oh hey, I have a reason to return to this thread! So I moved to a town that has a comic book store, so I should be posting here a lot more often now. I recently bought 'Lost At Sea', simply because it was Bryan Lee O'Malley's first original work, before Scott Pilgrim. It sat on my dresser for a week or so until I finally got to reading it last night. I really enjoyed it, it was a neat little story. Very much different in tone to Scott Pilgrim, but that same style of artwork that I love. Good stuff. Still very much looking forward to his next work, 'Seconds'. I'm also rather looking forward to Lucky Penny. It's a comic by the guys who do Johnny Wander, a favourite web-comic of mine. The comic looks to have the same humour as the Johnny Wander comics, except this is a proper story instead of one page autobiographical comics. They've been showing previews of it on their JW website, if anyone's interested.
  19. Someone give that dragon a handkerchief...
  20. Er, 'scuse me for mentioning, but shouldn't all the discussion about role-playing and how much we should use it and all that be in this thread as opposed to the game thread? It's weird and kind of annoying seeing people completely break character to talk about how unimportant it is to role-play. I miss the days of Mystery Castle when people would play in character and have a blast, whether it got them lynched or not...
  21. Y'know, I bet if we let Yasu go for today, and tracked/watched/investigated her tonight, the scum wouldn't even touch her. They wouldn't risk being caught targeting her, so they'd choose someone else entirely. Not that there's much chance of her getting out of this vote now. She's acted too sloppily and I don't see a majority voting for an alternative that hasn't even presented itself. I'm sure if I vote now it will be seen as 'going along with the crowd', but we all have reason to vote for her now. Vote: Yasu (TheBoyWonder)
  22. Er, hmm. Well, I don't think voting out Yasu is the best bet. I was following Shizuko (CallMePie)'s train of thought up until Norio made this point: But then I realised, we vote out Yasu, we either take out a Yakuza or a Mutineer, and tonight the scum take out another Yakuza, or convert one. But then, if we vote out someone else, the same thing happens: we either take out a Yakuza or a Mutineer, and tonight the scum take out another Yakuza, or convert one. They key difference is Yasu's claim to a power role. If she's telling the truth then the second option is best, as it doesn't involve us voting out what is possibly our own team's role cop, and it allows us to watch Yasu tonight in case the scum try anything, as well as investigate Yasu to determine her true allegiance. The question with that however, is who to vote out instead. Norio has suggested Shizuko because he suggested what is essentially the first option I just mentioned. I'll wait to hear what more other's have to say before casting a vote of my own. There's already a large number of votes against Yasu, but they can easily be undone and recast, and undone again and so forth. There's still a while left to this day, plenty of time to think things through.
  23. Hmmm, hm hm hm... I need to think more about this. I'm not entirely willing to vote for Yasu, but then again, if she's telling the truth then the scum all know it too, then her role won't be particularly useful with the scum avoiding or otherwise manipulating it. Something to keep in mind.
  24. Y'know, I was reading up on 'Meta-gaming' earlier, and how bad it is and how we shouldn't do it and how it's generally discouraged... Congratulations on your ability to count. I've always found judging people based on how vocal they are quite redundant, particularly among people familiar to these situations. Scum can easily be the most vocal of the lot, and there's always the few quiet, yet still loyal members. I myself spoke up to express my opinions, then I checked back before taking a nap to find nothing new for me to say. People were still just repeating how, "Ooh, that Yasu's quite strange don't you think?" and nothing more. Sure, I could have said, "Yes, I agree that Yasu is still being strange. Oh, we could vote for her but oh, she could be loyal. Oooh, what to do..." But that wouldn't be anything new. Perhaps attention should be paid to those who speak up an awful lot about nothing in particular. Those scummy traitors among us would be looking for that balance between being active and lying low. Someone always does one of these tallies, and scum are always careful to not stand out in them. Now, to the situation at hand. To completely counteract what I just talked about, allow me to recap the possible actions tonight. Vote out Yasu - Yasu really is the town role cop like she claims. We lose a useful loyal role. Vote out Yasu - Yasu is town who desperately role-claimed to try and stay alive. We lose a loyal Yakuza. Vote out Yasu - Yasu is a scum who desperately role-claimed to try and stay alive. We take out a mutineer. Vote out Yasu - Yasu is a scum role cop who role-claimed in the hope it would be somehow verified, and she would gain our trust. We take out a mutineer power role. Don't vote out Yasu - Yasu really is the town role cop like she claims. Scum would do their best to make her role useless - blocking, killing, hijacking. Town would want to investigate her to determine her allegiance. Don't vote out Yasu - Yasu is a regular Yakuza who role-claimed to stay alive. Would still be targeted by the scum and investigated by our investigator. Would at least distract the scum for a night. [*]Don't vote out Yasu - Yasu is a scum. Our investigator would find out, unless the scum have a protective ability that blocks night actions. Okay, there's just a multitude of possible outcomes. Let's just... hm. We shouldn't risk losing our role cop, but we can't guarantee us successfully investigating her tonight, and if we don't manage that, then what? Meanwhile, it seems there's been much more conversation in the time that I've said this, so I should catch up again.
