  1. It looks fantastic! This is going to be one awesome Castle, keep at it and good luck! My favourite part so far are those big doors, those cheese slopes look great there. ~Peace
  2. Well, the evil Wizard in Skeleton Tower has the same head as Ogel, the antagonist from Alpha Team. And... er... well, I don't know what it has to do with Agents. I agree. I actually think Crossbow Attack had more going for it. It had the same amount of figures as Dwarves' Mine Defender, as well as a skellie horse. It had an axe and scythe, 2 crossbows and a skellie shield, but DMD only has a scimitar and glaive. I would have much preferred to get a smaller Dwarven contraption for half the price. Dwarves' Mine Defender still rocks though. ~Peace
  3. Valid excuse... Er, I haven't really gone through what I consider to be a dark ages. I still whole-heartedly love the bricks and often draw up plans for creations. I haven't been building or buying though, the first due to lack of time and space, and the second due to lack of money. We do get a couple of months off though, around November/December, so that will be the time for sorting the bricks, which will get me back and building. ~Peace
  4. Wow, this is one stunning set! I love it! I'll have to convince Dragonator to get it... Thanks for the sweet review, ~VBBN~. Fantastic job. ~Peace

    City '09?

That does look like a cool set. Sort of an introduction to modular building. First, this. Next Cafe Corner style buildings! Thanks legomilk. ~Peace
  6. Great review, Whitefang! The thing I love about this Advent Calendar is that is has things for people who celebrate Christmas in winter and those who celebrate it in summer. Barbecue at the beach ON! ~Peace
  7. I remember finding this on Brickshelf about a year ago. I also remember seeing the tragic incident this particular construction underwent. It appears the anti-gravity stabilisers malfunctioned... ~Peace
  8. When I bought Arkham Asylum, the 4 droid arms on the stretcher seemed a bit off. Then a few days later, when I opened the stretcher to put a minifig in (note it had been on display and not been 'played' with before hand), the bar attached to the droid arms simply pulled away, the droid arm clips had all snapped. I put in an order for replacement parts, and I did say they were not broken when I bought the set, but they were incredibly weak. About a week later I get a package from half-way across the world, 4 new droid arms. As of this date they still remain intact. ~Peace
  9. Another great chapter! But so near the end, which is saddening. I loved the whole thing, but I particularly liked the use of camera flash when the wizard frees the party from prison (the KAZAP! scene ). The build is as always fantastic, and I do like how you've kept the build in all the photos, with as little non-Lego background as possible. Very nice, no distractions. Looking forward to the epic battle and finale! ~Peace
  10. Hm. I would stick a long technic axle into the bottom of the barrel, grab tightly to the barrel, and slam it into a table so the axle pushes up and pops out the top hat. Of course, that could also snap the axle... You could always butter it up. ~Peace
  11. I went and visited the Hobby Expo today, which ran for 2 days here in Rotorua, NZ. My main reason for going was, of course, the large Lego town display there! So, armed with my camera, I went and took a few photos, I thought Eurobricks might have wanted to see it. Perhaps this photo will give you an idea of how big it was. It's worth noting that this was built by 5 people only. Quite a collection they have. Never seen X-pod lids used as balconies before. Quite inventive! Town hall! Seeing as most of the other displays were model trains, the Lego display had to feel included. There was even a soccer (or football) pitch and monorail. The other, er, 43 pictures can be found in my Flickr Hobby Expo set. I apologise for the shoddy picture quality, I never was one for a steady hand and I still haven't really figured out how to use the camera. ~Peace
  12. I was thinking of this technique as well. I've only come up with 2 options (then again, I'm not very imaginative... ) so far. One being the use of the nets that are included in various sets (from memory a few Aqua sets and the soccer sets), they shouldn't be too pricey on Bricklink. (About 20 cents each.) My second idea was the use of these parts. They may be a bit bulky, but at least they have the grille pattern. ~Peace
  13. There was also the problem of the missing Dwarf beard. I sure hope something is done about these errors. ~Peace
  14. Congrats guys, and thanks again CopMike! I find it funny how there are some members who joined and didn't even post until this thread. 14 of them, in fact. ~Peace
  15. Down with the Sickness [Live] - Disturbed. It's funny, now I've got Down with the Sickness, as well as the live version from 'The Sickness' album. I've also got Down with the Sickness Live at the Riviera from Indestructible. ~Peace
  16. Cadian... that's Imperial Guard, right? The only knowledge I have of WH40K is from the Dawn of War games and from reading off the site. I keep getting Cadian mixed up with Cadre, which gets me thinking of the Tau... Anyway, any chance of some pics of your Blood Angels? ~Peace
  17. Happy Birthday guys! Hope you all have a great one, and get all those bricks you've been waiting for! ~Peace
  18. [You could spell gray the American way...] Doctors picking Larry up, taking him to safety freedom ...er... tranquility. But alas, again, wood crumbling, collapsing, blocking off our path with an unforgiving blast of heat flame fire burny pain. Hm, this is harder than I thought!
  19. Why I never! I believe that song is called just 'Bodies'. Anyway, right at this moment I'm listening to White and Nerdy by Weird Al, but lately I've been getting into the 2 new Disturbed albums I got, Believe and Ten Thousand Fists. (Yes, I know they're not new, that's Indestructible. I meant new to my collection, as I got them after I got Indestructible.) Also various songs from Breaking Benjamin and Hurt. ~Peace
  20. Fantastic! Makes me want to build one of my own. I love the interior, how it mixes natural rock with the castle wall. Great SNOT section on the wooden tower too, can't go without the SNOT! ~Peace
  21. This is one stunning creation, Ralph_S! I love it, I can't find anything wrong with it! ~Peace
  22. Ngrrr! It's the 16th today. But since we're a day early, we must push through yet another day until it's the 16th over there, and the 17th here. And then we shall claim the prize we have been waiting for for so, so very long! I don't know why I'm making such a big deal of this though, as I own the only thing it's not released on, the PC. ~Peace

    AIM

Can some one please clarify for me what exactly AIM is, and if it's any different to MSN Messenger? Thanks. ~Peace
  24. Woo, those are some sweet MOCs! Very cool indeed! A very creative and unique way of making them, I love it! Of course, the treads get bonus points. This is looking promising, or perhaps deadly. I think I made good choices. Or perhaps horrible mistakes, condemning us to doom. We'll see. First, I voted the second option; I mean, really, what do we have left? Our friends could all be gone, and I know that the enemy of our enemy is not necessarily our friend, but we can at least take the chance. They did free you after all. Secondly, I voted for the first choice. Hopefully they'll see you as wanting to join them, not as threatening. I wouldn't leave this place unarmed anyway, so a gun could be your best friend right now. And finally, I voted the latter choice. I still don't trust him. I realise if Dragonator locked him up here, he won't exactly be his best friend, but he could still be dangerous. Best to keep him out of things. Ooh, that was fun. Can't wait to see what happens next! ~Peace
  25. A very thought provoking discussion, The Brickster... I'll have to address this with the mayor of... oh wait. There's no mayor here, only the king. Good thing there's no high-tech spy equipment in medieval times! Though there are ninjas... ~Peace
