  1. Not mine... It looks great with a few extra floors. If you can't pick up another set, check the piece prices on Bricklink as the dark red and tan pieces aren't too badly priced.
  2. I hate to re-start the speculation on the Town Hall retirement, but I've just received the Lego Easter catalogue and on page 17 is a picture (copied below) of the Palace Cinema and Parisian Restaurant, sitting next to the Town Hall. They wouldn't continue to put the TH in marketing/sales pictures if they planned to retire it. No sign of the Pet Shop or Grand Emporium.
  3. Hi Eurotrash. Just been checking out your other buildings. Love the style.
  4. I'm with you Legoaholic. I started buying with the Fire Brigade and I'm not bothered about the 3 previous sets. I wouldn't pay more than retail price for them. I'd rather put my money into buying parts to adapt the newer modulars or creating my own buildings.
  5. Thanks Colossus, glad someone found it funny.
  6. Love it, especially the stuffed bear in the corner of the room... or is it a real bear waiting for the right moment to strike.
  7. Incredible design and detailing. I love real-world MOCs. It makes me want to try harder to get out of 'Lego World' and build more realistic projects.
  8. I like the penguin set.... it's much better than the puppys and bunny rabbits of the past sets.
  9. Wow, I didn't know that. Series 4 is excellent.
  10. Do you mean Series 5 (macaw/orangutan/bear) ? Series 4 (tiger/turtle/penguin) has been out since January.
  11. Thanks 'TheBear'. Does anyone have any ideas for the top 2 floors? My current plan is a karate studio and apartment.
  12. When I got the MM last week it wasn't my kind of thing, but my daughter convinced me him could live meaningful life after crime fighting... She did a video review of the figure, which is where these photos have come from:
  13. No problem. My daughter and I are really looking forward to the show.
  14. If the Town Hall is a poor seller does that not mean there may be a lot of them left in stock, therefore it'll be kept in circulation. Does anyone know how many production runs are made of each set? If Lego don't produce anymore of either set, then the first to disappear will be the popular set.
  15. It's an awesome set, you won't regret it.
  16. Its actually funny that Tesco might release the set boxes first in the UK since all the Tesco's around me are still stocked with Series 2 Animal packs, Cafés and other old sets. In my local stores we've just got the Disney Princess range, but no sign of the January 2014 Friends sets yet. I guess online is run differently from instore.
  17. I bought 3 fire brigades just before retirement with the intention of keeping 2 and selling 1 in the future to make my money back ... but I couldn't resist opening them all to make my fire brigade building taller. The pieces in this set are great for my style of building. I've seen lots for twice retail price but I'm not sure if any are selling at that price.
  18. Thanks for letting me know. I think my Youtube site was down. I noticed a few others were as well so hopefully its nothing I need to fix. It seems to be working now.
  19. I checked and I've had my money back from AXS. But no correspondence from them, O2 or the show organisers. I'm sure the show will be great. I rebooked last night, but just think changing date, name and location shows a lack of planning.
  20. I booked tickets for 'The Lego Show' on 13th Feb. If I hadn't have been on YouTube or on Eurobricks I would still be going to London in May !!! If you cancel an event, shouldn't you tell the people who have bought tickets. I've had no cancelation or refund notice. Also if you reschedule an event, you can't change the name as well. That just confuses the situation. Surely they must know Lego's policy on using the name 'Lego'. Hopefully the extra 6 months will give them time to get their act together.
  21. The Tower Bridge set is a good suggestion. What you have to remember is the price per piece. It may look very expensive but if you bought the equivalent £200 in smaller sets you won't end up with anywhere near as many pieces to build with (especially if you want tan bricks and blue base plates)
  22. The blood is excellent. Its a great use of a variety of red pieces. Where do you get your inspiration?
