  1. Wow very creative and I like all the fun details you added!
  2. I planned on getting one of the big UCS sets during that time but Lego does not give the 2x VIP for all those. Pretty irritating :(
  3. I completed mine - thanks again! It was a challenging build with all those colors. I definitely had a challenge on some of the steps trying to determine which color was which especially on that last step! Here are some corrections for the instructions you may want to check - I usually defaulted to the picture which helped me catch some errors. Step 14 - should be 14 1x8 blue vice dark azure Step 21 - Part counts mixed up between DKR. RBR and DKBR Step 23 - I could only see one LBG 1x1 on picture but count calls for 2 Step 36 count calls for 2 DBG 1x1 rounds with stud but the picture shows them as flat rounds Step 38 - some of the placed pieces are actually greyed out in the picture The 3rd layer actually had a few pieces that look greyed out on the pictures which luckily when I had leftovers for a step i would just glare at the picture for a bit! Step 44 is probably the most challenging example but it was very hard to tell white, YGR and LTNG apart on the picture :)
  4. Chasing it right to the bank it seems lol
  5. @Themiddlebrick How do you feel this would handle being hung on the wall? I have not built any of the official Lego mosaics yet and I know those are hangable. Thanks!
  6. I enjoyed the mission and interacting with the other players. I think the NPCs did a great job of being real - ie had real world (in game world) motivation to their actions and responsibilities. I enjoyed the deep "scifiness" of the mission. I do think I had some good RP moments with the other characters that showed a bit of character growth. I do want to have my character continue to be more of an "adventure above risks" character and also the person in the group that is always trying to avoid murderhobo tendencies but it was nice to have some deeper moments interacting with NPCs and players such as the life or death convo with Zaria at one point. I do feel I had an issue the last section connecting with my character and the situations which is why my posts were more actiony and less fleshed out. That was really a me problem as someone that does not have a lot of experience with the RP stick. I will say for me personally I struggle with 100% open world RPG stuff. A few TTRPGs I've attended try to leave even the goals to the players and I've also found that to slow the game down a bit because players are trying to come up with goals, paths and solutions while not stepping on each others toes etc. I know we had one overarching goal on the ship but I wonder if there was a chunk of time to be saved if we didn't have to wait to decide to search each room, or wait on others to make some decisions. Since I'm new I don't really have a solution to that or know if it was actually a factor or not. I'm constantly worried about hampering another players fun by taking extreme direct action in certain situations bit it does seem that the characters motivations can really vary in these missions so it would probably be ok. I did have an issue with the constant melee action we would find ourselves in. While I do understand that it was the main way that the hydras fought I do think it put a bit of a burden on the characters that were not built for direct contact. I do think a good job was done to mitigate that by giving us a lot of plasma potion rewards and allowing creative solutions like Merei said plus the use of the flamethrower to drive hydras away from the action. Reading Merei's comments above I think we should retcon that Luce lives because I think they were only unconscious for one round before dying. I'd have to look back to be sure. Lastly I appreciated the great atmosphere those stud.io builds provided! Again, thanks for all the hard work by the Gm and the players :) EDIT: Luce is released from control in round 1 and died in round 3
  7. "Well there is not much left here, maybe we can just lock navigation to fly this thing into the sun. Maybe someone else can look for the last couple personal items of Mr. Hart? Maybe that will lighten the loss of the ship as a whole?"
  8. "That would be fine. I'm sure I'll have no problem coming up with another way to blow this ship up hehe" Kiriwn starts thinking toward that idea.
  9. "Sounds like as good a plan as any. Hostile invaders are not a good time on a space station."
  10. Hilarious! I just got my bonus a month early and was thinking the same thing! Just missed the recent VIP and don't want to wait until the inevitable May SW VIP weekend. :)
  11. Kirwin looks around the room. "Well, at this point we have a direct contact with Hart we need to report to and let them have some input. They have more knowledge then the crew of the ship most likely. They'll have an idea of what steps we can take next I'm sure." Kirwin's gaze stops on Zaria and smiles. "Probably no need for any more loss of life so soon, right? We need to report all this to Jace immediately and go from there." Kirwin immediately moves to report all that has happened to Jace.
  12. I finally finished building this set. I can say I did not really enjoy building all the smaller sections. I mostly build to display not to play so it actually sat on my desk 3/4 complete for like 6 months until I finally needed to make room so needed to finish it. After building the last small section, putting the parts together to complete the "Bone Demon" was fairly simple. Final Bone Demon looks really good and the minifigs are great also.
  13. Kirwin looks at the team before glaring at Greenlaw. "Adventuring can be fun but we still have a responsibility to protect others. The hydra was very hostile to other life forms and it probably is not a good idea to introduce it to a space station full of people." Kirwin points at Greenlaw with the detonator still in hand. "You've shown yourself to be a bit too much on the mad scientist side of things vice a responsible scientist. I'm definitely not letting this ship get to a station without some comprehensive contamination procedures." Kirwin turns to McSorsky. "Does Charon station have something like that? Or do we need to call in a larger organization? If this ship is not going to make it back do we have some way to get the survivors off the ship?"
  14. ooc: The Hart rifle is better then what Varen has right now and they specialize in long range so it should prob go to them.
  15. I started building my fishing boat. It seems like there is a disparity between the bag numbers and the instructions. So don't sort any extra bag parts right away! :)
  16. Yeah, even though Lego works with WB, Rowling still makes money off of new HP stuff and that is why it is tough for people to buy Lego HP along with other stuff.
  17. Kirwin says "Well, with this thing gone for now I think we need to report back to the shuttle with the crew and let them deal with the fall out of this situation. A lot of people are gonna need to do a lot of explaining about how this situation snow balled and that sounds boring to me." Kirwin disables the self destruct on device so no one accidently detonates the ship while they are on it.
  18. Looks great! I look forward to building it in the future! Thanks for the hard work!
  19. ooc: luckily i can't hit anything in combat so y'all should be good to do anything else this round lol
  20. Looks like OP has the instructions available on their site now but did not post back here :) https://brickwars.net/moc-crosshair
