[TC6] 42029 Extended [MOD]
SilenWin replied to filsawgood's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow, really great MOD! More 4x4's from russian builders for the offroad gods! ;) Front looks amazing, and dual cab are nice too. What will you do next? -
I just finished building a modified version of the crane, and I can say it is one of the most amazing and complex Lego cranes I ever seen! Thank you, Han! I decided to add two sections to the boom, now it is almost 120 centimeters length. I also added a few panels, superstructure now looks a little more smooth. Rear drum winch is powered by L-motor instead of M. And the last thing - I added differential pulley system to the upper hook. I hope that I'll be able to make good quality photos soon.

Hi there! I just finished motorization, and I must say that this set is just perfect. All electrics can be placed very tight, the exterior has not changed (just a couple of panels added). I used two buggy motors for drive, servo for steering and two M-motors to the other functions. I also used two LiPo batteries and SBrick. Model reaches acceptable speed and well controlled. Video is coming soon.

Yes, it looks strange. But this is only way to open the rear cover freely. Maybe I try to change something a bit later =)

Amasing color! Looks great! P.S. Maybe you can try white/blue combination?

Tatra 813 MOD
SilenWin replied to SilenWin's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Maybe they just look more realistic on offroad vehicles? Now I'm also working on custom snowchains, but after making 4 of them my fingers look not fine -

Thanks! With low loads they last about hour, but with heavy load (climbing in snow for example) voltage drops in 10-15 minutes. -

No, only one SBrick and two batteries with parallel connection -
Hello! I'm glad to present you my modification of great Madoca's trial truck. Chassis is almost the same as original, but I used two buggy motors and added planetary reduction gears into wheels (thanks Efferman for idea). I also added a winch, which was strong enough to lift the truck. And the main feature - SBrick! This little thing is pretty awesome! No more chasing models at extremely low range (especially in sunny days). Although Android app is now has "alpha" status, it's great pleasure to control any type of models. So, truck turned out very powerful and easy to play with it even in extreme offroad conditions. More photos This is test video, later, I'll post a more detailed review (when I get my second set of 3rd party tires) Thanks for watching!
