    D2C sets really don't have many play features, look at the simpsons house. You play with the figs inside the house, there's no flick missels in it. They could make the set half the dog, so that kids can still play with it, and adults can buy 2 to complete it. There can be some play features, Lincoln's chair flying through the wall, a flip-out wall function for the golf ball, and, well, being able to put 70 minifigs in it! The set wouldn't be aimed at 6 year olds anyway, it would be aimed at 10+ and adults.

    I am so sorry for your loss. The closest event that has happened to me is my uncle dying from brain damage in January, so I can only imagine what you must be going through. But it's best to look on the positive side and remember that God has a good reason for everything that happens.

    Has there been ANY new news on the figs? By now they usually have an image of a few characters ( I already know homer, I meant the whole family- I'm really hoping that Santa's Little Helper and Snowball ll come with: Bart/ SLH, Lisa/ Snowball

    I've said this before, but I'm gonna add to it: this makes absolutely no sense at all. What's the point in having open backs, when your gonna have to add panels to make it stable? And making them open back kind of makes them not a modular building-because modulars have all 4 walls. The only reason I can think of doing it for would be to get extra bricks but like the building, but there's bricklink.....

    My target is pretty much entirely sold out- there was a few 3-in-1s left, a bad cops pursuit, and I THINK there was a cloud cuckoo palace.

    Both my TRUs are sold out- I was lucky to get 70807 on Saturday at one as the other was completely gone- there were a few lairs and reinforcements, but that's pretty much it. I'm going to target tomorrow, so I shall find out ;)

    Great layout! I live in NY, and my grandparents own a house in downtown Brooklyn that they rent out. You really nailed the look of them! I especially love your MTA bus- it's so realistic! Do you live in one of the boroughs? Also, do you think you can share instructions on how to make the bus? I would love to be able to make multiple to add to my transit company!

    Actually, half the themes are out prior to august. The coast guard sets from last year were out in late May/ early June, and the cargo in July. The only city sets out in august were the town square and coast guard plane. Star Wars does tend to come out in august, but they're on elf the few themes like that,just like how there "winter" sets are spring sets.

    I'm actually making a krusty Krab MOC, on a 48x48 baseplate and it is going to be modular style. The roof will be made with 2x2 slopes in brown, but it won't look that bad, and the sign will be on a separate plate. Also, great review! I'll be using some features of the set for my MOC.

    You actually don't have to mod it that much, in the back of the garage is a table and chairs! But no beds though.. :/
