Paperinik77pk, here is the original posting I did from 2014. I am currently adding new details to the model

Tenderlok, your locomotive is excellent, you are a master builder in Lego trains, I have been inspired to improve and add more details to my Lego 16mm scale steam locomotive including a opening smoke book door using your design, and adding details which are on the 16mm scale Lady Anne live steam locomotive made by Roundhouse Engineering.

Well done, your LGB scale lego train is awesome, like you I was inspired by some YouTube videos in 2014 which in my case were 16mm live steam locomotives running on 32mm track, because of the high price tag of 16mm scale live steam locomotives I decided to make a Lego version 16mm scale Lady Anne live steam locomotive which is manufactured in the UK by Roundhouse Engineering. My Lego 16mm scale Lady Anne steam locomotive is 16 studs wide and 44 studs long and 20 studs long and is able to run on 32mm track, since building my steam locomotive I have made a 16 mm scale 4 wheel coach which the train pulls quite easily around my Peco SM32 track with no problems. I am currently adding more details like piping and other items

There is these guys at http://www.modelfixings.co.uk/washers.htm They sell nylon washers which can fit over a Lego Technic Axle and they dispatch worldwide I use the M5 nylon washers which the inside diameter is 5.3 mm, the outside diameter is 11 mm and the thickness is 1 mm I have used over twenty of them in my 16mm scale Lego Lady Anne narrow gauge steam locomotive, I had to use the nylon washers to set the wheels to 32 mm gauge track. Th There are 3 nylon washers between the Big Ben XL Train Wheels and the Technic Brick 1x2 with hole, and two between the were driving wheels

Aquarius - A New Lego Classic Space Spaceship
jamesed_1971 replied to jamesed_1971's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I had to use what I had in stock, as at the moment, I can't afford to buy any Lego, once I can, I will completely redesign her, including making the engine room and rear engines bigger, and adding more detail, but for the moment, I happy the way it has turned out, I am considering at a later date to completely redesign the spaceship if I have enough money, it may be a while as I have another Lego project which is currently on hold until I have all 10186 pieces in stock, plus a lot of of my available capital will be assigned to a Model Railway I am planning to build in the new year.- 4 replies

Aquarius - A New Lego Classic Space Spaceship
jamesed_1971 replied to jamesed_1971's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I was lucky to have a large Lego collection, not counting the 12 Lego Models I have built and on display, I have a bookshelf with 32 plastic boxes, each box is 8 inches long, 6 inches wide and 5 inches tall, I estimated I have 32,000 pieces of Lego. the spaceship empty 4 boxes which were refilled with more Lego I had in a cardboard box. the second shelve from the bottom has Lego which is reserved for a Lego Titanic model I am planning to build.- 4 replies

Introducing a new Lego Classic Space Spaceship - Aquarius, which is a Wanderer Class Planet Hopper, Mark I, which was inspired by the Scorpio from Blake's 7, hence the name Aquarius, the spaceship is a combined cargo carrier and explorer spaceship. The Lego Classic Spaceship is 3 ft long, 15 inches wide and 10 inches tall and I estimate between 3000 and 4000 pieces were used. The Lego Classic Spaceship has a ramp at the back which folds up and unfolds when the spaceship lands on a planet or a suitable surface, there are two sections of the spaceship roof which can be removed revealing the cargo bay and light drive engine mechanism and the flight deck, which is connected to the cargo bay by a sliding door. There are rear doors leading out to the ramp, the legs are permanent feature of the spaceship as they have rockets which are powerful enough to lift the spaceship of a surface before the spaceship flies away using the Light Drive Engines. The Light Grey, Light Bluish Grey and Trans dishes on the roof are the sensor relay network, the three trans orange aerials are the communications array, the gray object which looks like a gun is the radar system, the various grill and round bricks on top are the exhaust ports. The trans yellow aerials are laser, the ship has two on the front and six midway next to the missile launchers, the round brick structures with yellow and black lines are missiles ready to be fired. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The below image is of the right front of the spaceship. The below image is of left front of the spaceship. The below image is of the front of the spaceship. The below image is of the left back of the spaceship. 16mm Scale Lego Lady Anne Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotive
jamesed_1971 replied to jamesed_1971's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I have decided to rebuild and improve the 16mm scale Lego Lady Anne Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotive next year spring. Improvements I am planning are replace the single XL motor in the cab and replace with two L Motors which will be housed in the boiler, one L motor will power the front wheels and the second L motor will power the rear wheels, the v1 Power Functions IR Receiver will replaced by a v2 Power Functions IR Receiver. I will add a cab interior with a glowing firebox (lit by a Lego Power Functions Light, improving the exterior of the model by adding more details, improve the coupling rods for the locomotive, adding brass spectacle frame to the spectacle windows and add work plate and name plates to the model.- 7 replies

Hello Train AFOLS I am working on a new Lego Steam Locomotive in LDD. The Lego Steam Locomotive is based on the sole survivor of the SECR Class O1 Steam Locomotive - the SECR Class O1 No. 65 Steam Locomotive which is preserved at the Bluebell. My version will be a another SECR Class O1 Steam Locomotive - the SECR Class O1 No. 372 Steam Locomotive which used to run on the East Kent Light Railway between 1923 and 1949 which in 1949 was scrapped The Lego SECR Class No. 372 Steam Locomotive is still a work in progress, I hope to build it physically next spring once I have worked out how to motorize the tender. A couple of updates to the design. The first is I have done some more work on the Locomotive. the dome and chimney are now taller then the roof of the cab. The second update is I have worked how to motorize the tender, I have decided to use two Lego Power Function L Motor in the tender, each L Motor will drive a single axle. I now have to build the rest of the tender chassis and the build the tender body and add the skirting around the wheels. A small update to the tender, the leaf springs have been added to the tender.

16mm Scale Lego Lady Anne Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotive
jamesed_1971 replied to jamesed_1971's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Hopefully next year once I got my own place and a spare room for my Lego / Model Railway Room, I am planning to build a 16mm Scale Model Railway which will run both Roundhouse 16mm Scale Live Steam Locomotives and the 16mm Scale Lego Lady Anne Steam Locomotive, As for outside running, I hope to attend some 16mm garden railways as a member of the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers, I am also considering converting the XL Motor to fully Radio Control with the Mac·five LA from http://www.brianjonesmodels.co.uk/ and other parts he sells the Mac·five LA has a small and low size profile 39 x 38 x 12.7(mm) and has Autodrive and is designed for single motored locos in 0, 1, 16mm, & G scale, the operating voltage of the Mac·five LA is 6v to 18v DC- 7 replies

The detailing you have done on your 1:30 Krupp Knapsack 0-6-0T is just incredible, the amount of details you have crammed into the model is just out of the world like the cab interior, the way you built the Locomotive cab, that the advantage that 12 wide gives you. I have built a 16 stud wide narrow gauge locomotive and 4 wheel coach which can run on Peco SM32 track http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113403 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113400

The Brandbright Buffers have a screw on the back, a 1x2 Lego Technic brick is used with the screw going through the hole and it is tightened with a screwdriver, that's how the buffers are attached.

Hi, in June 2014 I designed a 16mm Scale Lego Steam Locomotive which was based on the Roundhouse Engineering Lady Anne Live Steam Locomotive, the 16mm Scale Lady Anne Locomotive was designed to the same scale of the Roundhouse Engineering Lady Anne and was designed to run on 32mm Track (Peco SM32 Track), since I did the original post the model has been improved with more details being added. The 16mm Scale Lego Lady Anne is powered by Lego Power Function XL Motor and the same gearing found in the Lego Emerald Night with both the receiver and battery box under the saddle tanks. The two photos below were taken last year before the Lego Model was improved (the date on the camera had been set wrong). The photos below were taken in early June after the 16mm Scale Lego 4 Wheel Coach was built. Below is the Roundhouse Engineering Lady Anne Live Steam Locomotive which my 16mm Scale Lego Lady Anne Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotive was based on. Below is a couple of photos showing my 16mm Scale Lego Lady Anne Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotive pulling the 16mm Scale Lego 4 Wheel Coach along the Peco SM32 track. The Black buffers are made by Brandbright, A online shop which cater for the 16mm scale. I am planning to improve the look of the exterior of the model so it looks more like the Roundhouse Engineering Live Steam Lady Anne, this will be done next year and replace the single Lego Power Functions XL Motor with two L Motors which will be place in the boiler of the locomotive. I move the spectacle windows, so they are over the front coal bunkers, moved the dome and added the safety value and put the steam whistle on the roof of the cab, I still need to redesign the cab interior,
