Somehow I was expecting this car to be in blue. Wonder why :D

Great cars! Thanks for the pics! That Edsel is really big. Maybe you could make that one 8 studs wide? Don´t know... As for the parts... I´ll give it a thought or two!

I second that request

Uh!! I get it! I understand TLCs masterplan! Constructing and designing "civilian" sets is a difficult task. Much more difficult than reinventing a new police station every year. And civilian sets just don´t sell well enough. But since all those AFOLs are continuously asking for more civilian sets, TLC is going to proof that those sets just don´t sell. They publish a handfull sets that are way overpriced and at the end of the year are proud to say "See? We were right. Those sets just don´t sell".

I´m sorry that I have to bump this thread back up. Maybe a moderator can move it into the buy and sell forum? I´m still looking for someone with skills and time to build this car in either minifig scale (Custom Garage size-compatible would be cool) or in UCS-scale as the VW Beetle is. I´ll be getting a raise in January, so step forward and make me an offer

Dammit. I need this set, too! Great review, wanting to buy this even more, now!

The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus #7
DJ Force replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
You´re killing for a living? Just kidding. Been in the service for 8 years, too. Just couldn´t resist typing a phrase that I hated hearing when I was in the airforce myself. -
Yes, I can tell from the backside that it must be a Camaro. That tailwing is so classic! What years model is it supposed to be, though? I assume soemwhere around ´69? I was trying to build a ´79 Camaro the other day, but failed miserably in LDD. But I guess those new 1x2 cheese grill slopes would work perfect for the front when used snotty Only question is how to build the headlights then. There are two round headlights on each side, and with the 2 cheese grills we would have an 8 studs wide car. Any idea? Anybody? btw: I

I wonder what this "Modular Build, Easy Start" sign on the box means. Where is this set modular?

Read the title and especially its subtitle again! New Cars for 10200 Custom Garage, Post your creations here! Anyway, that Apache is great! I´d love to build one for myself. Care to show some building steps? But honestly I wouldn´t recognize that Camaro to be a Camaro, and I´m not sure about the proportions of the Blazer. Think you might need to work on those again for greater likeness.

Great review! I really enjoyed reading and looking at the pics, although I think you accidently uploaded one and the same pic twice Make that double. Actually I was shocked to see a price that high for this set. I´m one of those Germans that still calculates in DM. Considering that $25 with the correct conversion rate would be 17 Euros but with TLCs price policy rather 25 Euros, that would be 50 DM for this set. Back in the 80ies I would buy a set like 6940 Alien Moon Stalker for 50 DM, not a small one like this SUV. It´s nice TLC is giving us a lot of new sets and ideas and so on, but honestly, no AFOLs wallet is a fountain of neverending money.

To be honest, I cannot really make out what this is, what parts you used and what this is supposed to have in common with Classic Space. It doesn´t look the least bit like anything TLC has ever come up with in any Lego Space theme.

Show them!

Dammit. Everytime I click on a thread started by Hinck, it turns out to be the best MOC ever. EVERY FRIGGIN TIME!

I´m looking to buy the 852001 Castle Chess Set. Not the big $200 one, but the small one. It´s currently unavailable at the Lego.de shop. No surprise, as it was on sale for 25 Euros. If this set should be available anywhere else for this price, please let me know! Or if you own this set and don´t want it anymore, please let me know as well

Looking really good! How did you create the illusion of gaps between the envelopes and stuff? Is that just the normal grove of the tiles?
-
Handle it as I do. Compare!
-
I just checked again and compared... Compare for yourself! Number of pieces: 367 Minifigs: 6 Release price: $49.99 Number of pieces: 1601 Minifigs: 8 Release price: $99.99 Which one would you buy and which one would you hate? First one is the harbor and second is the Medieval Market Village, just for info.

I have to admit I voted below average. Judging on the preliminary pictures I felt this set would have more detail and more building fun. But seeing the review now there´s not much I´m interested in. Lots and lots of really basic building techniques, lack of details, no interiors... There´s lots of play features like a cannon and the lift, and of course a lot of minifigs and accessories for this size, but I expected MUCH more from a set with a $50 price tag. This set is nice for kids, though. And if I had a son, I might even buy this for him. But any serious Pirates AFOL shouldn´t be blended by the fact that finally pirates are back, but stick to the much more interesting classic pirates sets. I wouldn´t even buy this set just for the parts, it´s just not worth the $50, IMO. Any comparable LDD building with this amount of parts would be cheaper!

I said it before and I say it again. Ach, the suspense!

I cannot see anything. I see the first pic, but when I click on it, no folder can be found and the later links are empty, too

Oh No! What the heck did he do?

I´m not sure if this is the right forum. If not, admins or moderators please move it I´m looking for a complete list of hairpieces TLC offers. The list I found on peeron isn´t up to date. Many new hairpieces and surprisingly many old ones are missing there. Or I´m just searching for the wrong criterias. Here´s what I came up with: http://www.peeron.com/cgi-bin/invcgis/inv/...23173782?page=4 Would be supercool if somebody could lead me to a complete list of all the hair molds. Even cooler, if those pieces are shown in all available colors, but that´s not absolutly neccessary

Thanks a lot, VBBN! Glad you like it! Just a little sad that noone else seems to be interested in creating more cars for this set. I don

Do you remember "The Fall Guy"? Colt Seavers, Howie Munson and the oh-so-gorgeous Jody Banks? Even if it´s not ringing a bell yet, this certainly´ll do: Well, Colt was always driving around in his 1982 GMC Sierra Grande 2500 Pickup Truck, and since I recently bought the first season of The Fall Guy on DVD and watched the first episodes, I just HAD to build this truck. Well, I couldn´t build a lifesize Heather Thomas, so I had to go with the second best of the show Here it is! 8 studs wide instead of the usual 6 studs, but the car IS wider than a normal one. Here´s the link to the factory page: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...2c-174e199afb08 and the details: Pieces: 320 Price: EUR 39.69
