After watching the Clone Wars cartoon, I started liking all the funny droids running/rolling/stomping around, this was one of my favorites, looks good! Though I agree, needs more details, looking forward to updates (and to building my own version :D ) Oh yeah, looks more like a spider than a crab right now xD

If anyone wants me to build something out of their original model so LEGO can't own your design, send me the LDD file of your original model and I'll do it for free, I have lots of free time. Disclaimer: By sending any materials or models, digital, physical or otherwise, to DrNightmare you agree to forfeit all ownership of the materials and/or models to DrNightmare so he may reproduce, manufacture, sell, and add purple bricks all over the place.

I like this more than the pointy nose now xD It also matches the Falcon's nose so they look good together.

In response to the Space Police's acquirement of new attack ships, The Black Hole gang jealously commissioned a fleet of drone attack ships! With no need for heavy cumbersome life support systems usually required for a living passenger, the ships are sleek, lightweight, and unnervingly fast in ground combat. They're piloted by an advanced AI displayed brazenly behind near indestructible orange "glass" (the manufacturers won't disclose what it's made of xD). The fatality rate for an average officer encountering one of these drones in 1 on 1 combat is over 80%. The only reason the Black Hole gang doesn't have more than a handful of them is because of how disgustingly expensive they are; The AI itself costs twice as much as the entire ship! Sharp, sinister, sexy, get your Drone Destroyer today! If you can't tell, I'm proud of this thing xD especially since it was cobbled together with scrap parts I never thought I'd use. I learned more building techniques things too and was surprised at how some of the area fit perfectly together. I love the shape I ended up with, especially the rear since I usually leave that looking flat and boring. Notes: -Did some minor mods so some of the pics have a clip in front and some don't. -The white thing on top is one of the new Ninjago skeleton arms, I'll switch it for black if I ever get one. -The bar-piece it's attached to is clamped between the two wedges, there was no other way to secure it but it looks nice. -The yellow stickers along the sides weren't intentional, that's just how they came form bricklink lol. -Silver sparkle sticker on top will be replaced by a Black Hole Gang skull -The underside is boring, I don't have any more pieces to greeble it... yet! Here's a shot of the AI, will probably replace the gray grills with some neon green. It slips into the canopy and is held tight by friction, lol. I could probably modify the ship to fit a minifigure, but I don't feel like it right now. Comments! :)

Here's the alt nose for Decale, with photoshopped stickers because I don't have anymore xP:

Always good to be reminded how lucky we are in the US to get most of the sets, and to never take it for granted of course! If anyone wants me to buy them some Space Police sets, just paypal me the money and I'll ship them as cheaply as possible. The sets will have to be shipped without boxes though to fit them in a flat rate envelope ($14) or flat rate box (I think it's like $25). Thanks! You're right, they could be part of a set, I guess I built them together with that subconsciously in mind, haha. I like the shape of the Falcon but the wings definitely need some bulking up. I'll add some white wedges and see how they look (can't believe I haven't done it already!) Lol "Sting", I like the idea of the cops using names similar to the Skull Twins' vehicles (Barb Speeder) just to mock them Sting VRF sounds good, I can make the ship live up to that name by making a few more things modular. The guns in front can already easily be replaced by fire hoses, missles, satellite dishes, etc. Yesss, I like the droid legs too, good thing there are droid keychains on sale for $1.50!

Gorgeous! (Why do you think green is ugly? lol)

LEGO Collectable Minifigures display cases
Henchmen4Hire replied to BigDumbWookiee's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think it'd be neat if we built the floors and made them look like wood, stone, metal, whatever. That way the display looks even better and it gives the figures a more solid base to stand on. And I don't mean build all the steps, just build on top of a long baseplate and place it on top of the steps, then either glue it or use some double-sided tape to keep it from moving. -
Yessss, everyone go build some Space Police ships! I find the solution to any design flaw is to add more guns! xD The hair is from one of the blond Collectible Minifigures, I changed the color in photoshop :D

LEGO Collectable Minifigures display cases

Thanks for the details Fred! There's a Container Store 5 miles from me so I'll take some lego pieces and see what kind of trouble I can get into, har har Lookin' good Neomsis! That looks great to display some of my speeders in a drag race or something. -
I agree about the back of the engines, I can never figure how to make the back of them look good, I always leave them flat... or add giant flames The Skull Twins already have a car called "Skull Interceptor" so I want to give it a different name.

That dice case is spiffy! But is the case only the clear part? Did you add all the black areas? -

Anyone want to help name this ship? How does the military name their craft? So far it's gonna be called "something"-X1 ("X1" meaning one pair of wings, "X2" will have 4 wings). I don't want to create outlandish designs for the Space Police ships, so I tried to keep this one, uh, practical? Yeah, all those guns are very practical xD Colors used are black, white, dark bley, metallic silver cones/engine block. And I should note, I'm waiting to get a few more pieces to clean up the cockpit and add final touches, some areas look ugly right now, and you may notice some missing white cheese wedges. Not bad, eh? The "police" stickers are upside down because I used the wedges from Squidman's Escape. There's no reason for picking "33" as the unit's number, they're simply the only number-tiles I have, har har. This is the first time I tried to add greeble and learned a few things in the process. I went kind of crazy on the underside, didn't have a plan for what I wanted! I was just trying to use up all my clips and stuff to see what could be made. I ended up with interesting, if not completely useless, features. xD The wings/guns come off easily, great so the minifigs can do some repairs, lol (I need to rework the area). Anyway, I like the effect the random pieces have when combined. The guns in front aren't bad I think, could be better? And yeah, there's a droid stuck under the ship I didn't plan on incorporating it, just added it for giggles. Can also pop off the rear black rocket thing and put the droid in there! Ideally I would just remove the silver engine thingy and replace it with the droid's green head, but it's a keychain and I can't get the head off x_X Any tips? I can easily "fix" minifigures, but there's just no good way to grip this thing's head! Maybe some padded pliers? Here's an alt build/pic of the ridiculous piping, it flips out a little but usually lays flat like in the previous underside pic. I'm working on adding some landing gear, need one more of those white droid legs... And here's a pic of the original "prototype" before I improved it! Of course, improving it also means upgrading to a sexsssy female cop! I wish we had gotten a female police torso... I hope it's released as a collectible minifigure!

Thanks everyone! I got sidetracked, so no comics still, but here's a preview of the Space Police ship I built:

Gosh do I love cheesy titles. The Skull Twins were too cramped in the Skull Interceptor (they can't both fit in the Skull Seat sipping Skull Liquor from a... skull, lol) so I built one of them a speeder. --- Skull Twin Biff (real name: Bifourk Fraggston) likes his space-rides big, noisy and ugly (just the way he likes his women too!) but younger skull Twin Stef (real name: Francis Stefondavich, hey he's not gonna use "Francis" as his nick name! His sperm donor dad was a French guy xD ) likes his vehicles a bit more refined. They may not always agree on what kind of engine to use, but they do always agree that no ride is complete without at least one pair of... radioactive plasma cannons!? I like the gratuitous use of weapons on a vehicle, especially when they're an obnoxious neon color! There's only one hose running from the engine to the front cannons, I like the unbalanced look. The dark bley stud under one of the cylinders is there to simulate some ribbing, to show the cannons pulsate and reciprocate into the vehicle a little when they fire. (So much thought went into that one stud! ) I did what I could with the underside, turned out nice considering my limited amount of parts. The useful gauge on one side shows Stef when it's time to recharge the cannons. The rear neon-green cones aren't weapons, they're just there so people will think twice about tailgating :D And yeah, the base piece is from an old Aquasharks Dart sub. I need more cool stickers! I love the "I love Insectoids" sticker, too bad it's upsidedown, har har. No comics yet, will make some later!

I just want the figures to be packed evenly, really. 16 per wave is fine with me, I don't need to collect all of them anyway. I'm tired of arguing with the fat guys looking for shortpacked minifigs. I gotta pay $4 for a minifig, and then I still have to buy a box of donuts every trip to distract those jerks? It's getting expensive! -

YES! Dwarf! :D Thank you LEGO! And screw you scalpers! Also, that'd be cool if they reduced the amount of figs to 8, and distributed them evenly in the boxes. -
Collectible minifigures. Keep them or sell them ?
Henchmen4Hire replied to Eisenaffe's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Buy what you want for your collection, I don't see the point in buying toys to scalp later when you don't even get that much profit anyway. Seriously, there a dudes who camp at TRU to get a million elves so they can sell them for $10 on ebay. Think about how dumb that is, to waste an hour feeling the bags to find only 3 elves/fisherman/whatever, to pay about $3.50 each (after tax), then drive home (gas money both ways), list it for sale (auction fees), hopefully have it sell (ending fee), and then pay the paypal fee, ROFL! You're back where you started. You're better off getting a normal job and not having to risk getting beat up by an irate little kid because you keep taking all the elves Sorry, I forgot the topic... xD Anyway, if you want to sell stuff, use Ecrater.com, no fees, no auctions, you list your stuff, set the price, and get paid with Paypal (only pay paypal's usual fee). I only use ebay for advertising for my ecrater store.
