  1. It's not just the bending of the page? In front of the superstructure, there is a couple of "plates" that goes under the feet on the outriggers.
  2. So the same as 42070 when it hit the market last year, right?
  3. There is something similar in the 8674 Ferrari F1 Racer:
  4. Maybe somwhere when you connect 2 large sub-builds,you missed it for some sort of "locking" - i'm not near the instructions right now. Too bad the front-grille is f***ed!
  5. Thanks for the hint - it was in the clamshell. Don't know how I could use a wrong part here, but I did. Lucky me, it was an easy fix - thank you!
  6. OMFG! Reached page 446 after 6 days of building in the evenings. I just found out that I must have used a dark grey 7L beam instead of a red one somewhere in the build
  7. As you can see in Sariels video at 6:46, the Arcos buckets are 7x5x5: - not that big again
  8. I went to my local store today, and there was only Jan-June catalogs :( (Denmark - don't know if it matters, or maybe it's just the store that's slow)
  9. I think it was only the "That's not fair!"-part, that was pointed at your youtube-link. The following line has nothing to do with your post, just so we're clear ;) I can't wait to get my fingers in this fantastic set!
  10. I would prefer silicone oil as well - originally i bought it for use with my RC Monster Truck (as grease/oil in my differentials), but I'm also using it for some of my sons toys, where the plastic squeaks and is hard to play with. I haven't tried it on my 8043 yet (i received my servicepack around christmas - YAY!), so I can't tell how it works, but I would be surprised if it wouldn't work. You should be able to get silicone oil / grease in every hobby-shop, which sells either softguns or rc-models.
  11. The 8258 was the flagship of 2009 and the 8043 is the flagship of 2010 - so if you still can buy 8258 now, my guess will be that you still can buy 8043 next christmas. It may be even longer on the shelves than normal, because of the new edition...
  12. That's insane! I remember TLG did the same thing when the 8880 hit the market - there's something here: http://technicbricks.blogspot.com/2008/11/scaled-up-technic-cars.html It has also been done with the 8386 - Ferrari F1
  13. Lucky you :) How about search youtube for inventions? There's a lot! :)
  14. Cool, but how about all those small pieces that doesn't have this mold number on it? for example the new part in the 8043:
  15. Hi all Does anyone know who is administrating the master.txt file that is used by ldraw? The reason I am asking is that I'm considerating to make a site like peeron (it seems like the people behind it doesn't have the time for it no more), and I need to know who's deciding which number a new part gets and when a part needs to be moved to a new number or so. Thanks in advance EDIT: CAPITALS
  16. hi Superkalle 1. I'll try, but can't promise :) as it is the beginning of the line, I don't see any difference - to me it's just the look (as long as it is just a thread like this, i dont mind if people use capital letters or not, if they just use commas and periods i'm glad :) ) 2. which point? - that they dont answer?
  17. i would love to make a new 'peeron' with all the good stuff and more functions as the users requests.. but one BIG thing i dont have, is ALL the images that peeron's got, and i dont think they'll share :) you can see at the frontpage, that they've made updates yesterday, so something is happening :s but they don't answer mails apparently :(
  18. that would be nice, with that option. i've wrote an email to perron about a month ago, to hear how to add a new part, so i can finish my 8043 inventory, but stille havent got no answer (i havent got answer here neither, though)...
  19. i will, i just wanted to know why Jurgen did what he did :) and sure, it's a question about taste, and i might going to use the small bucket i havent decided yet, i also havent started the rebuilding yet, all my bricks are put away, because of moving, so it wont be the next 2 or 3 months (in that time LEGO better have to come out with a solution for the problems with this model - so i'll wait and see)
  20. exciting - cant wait to see what they come out with (if it returns )
  21. hmm, i think it looks stupid with this little bucket...
  22. very nice! i think i'll take apart my original 8043 and start over again - following your instructions :) i cant see anywhere why you're not using the original bucket?
  23. anyone? it's the only part i need, and peeron hasnt answered my mail thanks...
  24. i save them with the rest of my parts - at the time i have about 40 sets that's not assembled, so i have a lot of parts. also i'm on the way out of my dark ages, and it's my plan to start moc'in as soon as possible (i'm currently renovating my 2nd floor in the house, so i don't have the time - or room for it right now) regardless if you're a moc'er or not, i think its stupid to throw the spareparts away, you may gonna need them sometime...
