  1. oh sorry, i forgot. its the 8043 Technic Excavator
  2. hi all I'm doing an inventory of a model in Parts Catalog, but the set includes a part that doesn't exist in the systems yet, so how do I add this part? I've planned to upload the inventory to peeron when I'm done, so I wrote thema mail a couple of days ago, but I still haven't got no reply - so I was thinking that some of you guys may know the solution... thanks in advance
  3. i get all sad when i read your post tomacwhite - i've just bought the model today, so i'll hope i wont get these problems, but it sounds that i probably will... i'll make sure that everything spins and rotates like a charm while completing every single step and hope it will all work when finished...
  4. well, i went there half an hour before the mall opened, and got almost in front of the queue-line :) as soon as the door opened, i ran to the lego-section and got 8 boxes of duplo for my son, and the 8043 for my self :) now i just need to find the time to put i together...
  5. yeah - this sunday Bilka (Danish mall) has 40 percent off ALL lego, so i'm heading for the 8043 (the moneys are a bit low, so that will be my only by this time :() it will cost €115,55 - normal price in Bilka is €193,12 i cant wait till sunday :D
  6. oh yeah, i forgot that they are only 1,2V...
  7. why not just buy some high quality cells to put in your PF battery-box instead of all this work?
  8. they dont seem especially intelligent: - they destruct the lego-pieces (thats the worst of it) - they do it inside - it doesnt seem thought through, the way its assembled, when the candlelight falls off, and their hands are a bit close to the flame i think, but well, i could hope they got burned on their hands - they deserve-it!
  9. just what i was thinking, although i only have around 50 instructions, but i hope more will come :)
  10. i've used A4 ringbinders since before my dark ages, but i think i'm gonna advance to A3 :) many of the instructions for the big technic-models are bigger than A4, so it's a bit crappy. or maybe i should get a A3 filecabinet or something like that...
  11. nice buy :) damn, i hope i can get the 8063 tractor, when i'm going to get the 8043 AND 8053 at sale in start of august...
  12. i think there's many good alternative models, but there's at least as many not so good ones. i haven't build alternatives that much, also because thy weren't that attractive, but one i remember is the combine harvester from the backhoe grader 8862, which i made a trailer for the (well i dont know what its called in english, but the thing in the front, they use to put on a trailer, when driving on the roads :) ) as for the question "did you ever buy a set, because of the alternative model?" - i don't think i have ever done this, but i will - the 8053 mobile crane looks too "wobbly" and i think the 8421 is much nicer, so i'll gonna buy the 8053 for the harbour crane :)
  13. i see what you mean, it doesnt fit right in the way its mounted on this picture - on the double-length og the blue pin, there's a (i dont know what you call it in english :s - just like the one in each end, which clicks, when it fits correctly) and this is sitting in the middel of the yellow liftarm, which means that its compressed all the time, like cp5670 says. it would be the same if you push a pin only halfway through a liftarm - it doesnt click. i hope this make sence, my english isnt the best :s
  14. hmm, cool, but how is it different from this site for example?
  15. sorry to borrow your thread #0, but as a user of the VERY slow peeron (which is a nice site except of the speed), i would like to know if brickset is better on onther things than speed in this comparison...
  16. Its called Bilka, and they have a store in all bigger cities. thats weird, when i do that i only see the old models, none of the new ones does show...
  17. this is going to be really great! the new models are launched here in Denmark in late july, nad we have a mall, which allways have 40% off, the first or second week of august. cant wait to buy those new models for a very nice price! :)
  18. the big figures are also in the video in #6 :) just later on...
  19. well i dont know if it was a coincidence, but when i was a little boy :D and got my XXX my father came width an extraordinary cool idea: A tank for compressed air! at the time he worked as a welder on an oil-rig in the north sea and made a small air tank in metal (i still have it), that i could use with my pneumatics. i even remember i build a special valve so the compressor went off, when the pressure in the tank was heigh enough. i thought it was a great piece for my lego-model, so i wrote a letter to lego (i'm from denmark, so the letter wouldnt go that far ;)) where i described my fathers creation, and drawed it, so they could se dimensions etc. they replied that they couldnt use the idea (exactly as explained earlier in this thread), but after some time (i dont remember how long) the first model with an airtank hit the market (Submarine 8250) - my father and I agreed that they stold our idea! :) as i said, i dont know if it was a coincidence, but if it was, it was a funny one :) sorry for the lack of english-skills //mortenm
