  1. I'm displaying at the show and whilst the barriers are inconvenient, we've had 3-4 times as many people as on Thur/Fri, its a compromise between showing the models off and protecting them from accidental damage. I can't speak to why the Brick 2014 merch stand was empty on Thu/Fri, but they were stocked on the weekend. The vendors who come to this type of show, tend to be at the higher end of the price market, online is better for bargins. I'm glad you enjoyed it ! cheers CB
  2. I can't take credit for the rover as its from the City horsebox set released a few years back - all I did was give it a respray....
  3. Your Flickr feed is marked as private. Sounds like you got a good fleet going there...
  4. get them when you can, as Stratford only has/had one tub full....
  5. As I went to see the Art of the Brick exhibition, I had the opportunity to visit the London Stratford store, this is the haul I got: This was 1272 pieces split - Hadn't been to a wall in a while and it was nice to see some new parts for a change

  7. Thanks for the comments, always welcome. Please see below the inventory of the Gritter - 244 Bricks - it shouldn't be too expensive to BL.... (If you are having trouble reading the above, a larger version can be found on my Flickr page.) You can also download the LDD File here and the full color PDF of the instructions/inventory - Please note its 20Mb in size Back in 2012, I also did a Highways Agency - Traffic Officer Vehicle as well http://www.eurobrick...8326&hl=traffic cheers CB
  8. great minds, eh.... I am finishing off a 6-wide version, here are the LDD versions. I have built the engine and one carriage of the Virgin liveried one, it has the PF engine/battery/sensor/lights included. The bogies and underside of the trains have changed. Like the OP, I too am awaiting the postman......

  11. Can anyone else get in, I'm getting a missing server message....
  12. Recently I have struck up an affinity with Lime, probably because I loved the aliens in Alien Conquest.....
  13. Yes, it plays fine. The raised tiles keep the pieces in place and the aerials make it easy to pick them up.
  14. That's different. According to BrickPicker 3 used were sold last year around the $90 mark. The train was also bundled with carriage(s) and track and the original price for 4534 was $159.99. http://brickset.com/sets/4534-1/LEGO-Express and the deluxe version was $169.99 http://brickset.com/sets/4535-1/LEGO-Express-Deluxe Shouldn't be too hard to BL though...
  15. Picture reviews please. As has been mentioned, the quality of the writing and photos set these reviews apart from others.
  16. very nice. my vote has been registered.
  17. Other than Lego, one of my interests is ancient Egypt and how things haven't changed too much over the centuries. What better to demonstrate this, than a really old boardgame, Senet. I have also added a couple of hidden extras into the box: You can find more pictures on my Flickr album

  20. Nice ! - although I'd hate to lug that laptop around......
  21. According to recent calculations, there have been over 4 billion minifigs* produced, making them the largest population group on the planet, so my suggestions would be: A domination of minifigs An epidemic of minifigs An infestation of minifigs I for one, welcome our new minifig overlords.... * Source National Geographic :http://natgeotv.com....lego-facts.aspx
  22. I see your ditto and raise you ditto+1
  23. Hi Annie, its good to hear you are ok The troubles with your cat reminds me of an old Goodies episode....
  24. After some recent interest in the MKIII decoupler, it made me think should I put it on Ideas ? Would it stand on its own, or should I group it with other track items or lighting ? If you look at what TLG has said over the years, that automated controls/lights and other stuff which would turn our train layouts into proper model railways is not going to happen. If you look at the interview with the designers of the 2014 trains in issue 15 of Railbricks magazine, you'll see the reasons why. So alone it is. I have no misconceptions that this very easy design could match the great models this program has produced (Ghostbusters, Exo Suit etc..) That's not the point, I'm glad they changed its name to Ideas, because this is one that fits the definition. Throw in a railroad minifig and you've got an Ideas Polybag ! So if you've built one, going to build one or just like the concept, please take a minute to register your support for the Simple Decoupler on the Ideas website. thanks CB This thread is where it all started
  25. here's a link to an older post showing my design for a decoupler, and I believe a few people have added PF to it (check near the end of the post). http://www.eurobrick...=decoupler&st=0
