  1. Here's my creation : Darth Vader takes a break from petrying the universe, and brings presents to those who have been nice this year! In the eyes of Vader, of course, this means visiting about ten addresses. In true Christmas spirit, Vader teams up with Elf Yoda, and together with a herd of Tauntauns (and the Force to guide them) they set off for a Christmas adventure!
  2. Although I do not post here on a regular basis, I (The lowlug guy) ferquently visit the Eurobricks site as well (just as FBTB, Imperiumdersteine, Brothers Bricks etc). Looking at things, it seems Eurobricks has the highest scale of representation judging from the number of Ambassadors posting here!
  3. Thanks for the info; you get five bonus points
  4. Do you perhaps have some more info on how the roof line was made? brackets seem like the most logical option, but looking at the 8x8 plates on top, it seems brackets would stress (or not fit) against the 75° slopes... Or is there an extra layer of plates on top of the slopes? Nice review, but it missed that info
  5. Apart from the minifig and the railing alongside the 'ships, there was really nothing LEGO'esque about the game; just putting in minifigs instead of 'real' action figures does not make a LEGO game, a genuine LEGO game. A lot more effort should have been put into designing the computer terminals and light cylinders in genuine LEGO structures, I think...
  6. Errr.. I don't see minifigs in that set...
  7. Wow, the guy who gave his thumbs up for the Solar Sailor should get fired; what a piece of ... !!!! All the proportions are wrong, it's a meatball on a stick! Look at it, just look at it!!! This is truly the first time ever (well, the old AT-ST joines it) that LEGO has really let me down with a design...
  8. I voted for the rebel trooper; never counted on LEGO producing those, and they're pretty neat :) I didn't vote for Plo Koon on pupose, as I think his head is a lot 'wider' in the movie then it is now produced; he was a bit of a letdown really...
  9. Well, count me in I guess
  10. Ha! Joker... The pictures were taken on LEGOWORLD by me, and yes, they are real pics. And that is indeed a lightsaber hilt with a new silver coating, which is less shiny than the old one, but a lot shinier than the coating used on the agent sets... I guess LEGO found a cheaper way to have silver parts in the sets without costing a fortune. All the better :)
  11. I also worked on a Z-95, and present it on my MOCpage account : http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/69660 I'm looking forward to your reactions
  12. Although Sly Owl made really good sets, I voted for Fat Tony on all three occassions as I see his sets as most realistically 'to be produced' by LEGO, keeping into account the current parts LEGO uses, the current produced colours, and naturally the contents of each sets; from my point of view, in all three cases of Fat Tony's produced sets, LEGO can start production tomorrow. :)
  13. Great stuff! I'm quite fond of the TIE variants myself and still plan to build an example of each one of them (right now I only have these). If you require pictures or info on TIEs, please don't hesitate to send me a PM; I have hundreds of photographs you may use, as long as it brings good MOCs :)
  14. I hope Lucasarts doesn't go all stupid and do the same thing with the X-wing; anything else but a Z-95 would be a fail IMHO...
  15. Hey folks, thanks for the positive feedback :-) I made this MOC about two years ago after having downloaded some images from the great toysrgus.com website where they had quite a lot of images of prototypes which never made it to full production, and a few of them caught my attention, like this AT-IC, but also for instance the SRV-1. The initial idea was to just convert an AT-AT into an AT-IC, but due to the steep prices back then for an original AT-AT and old light grey parts, I decided to build the vehicle in the colours it ought to have, and where, to my suprise, I already had 1/3 of the required parts on stock. Nowadays it's really the pride and joy of my MOC collection (I never break up models once they're made, which makes MOC building rather expensive I suppose) and I still need to make some new photos of it due to some slight tweaks I made (most notably the feet, which now have light grey dishes instead of dark grey ones). Again, thanks for the feedback, and if there's any questions, remarks etc. please let me know. Cheers, HJR
  16. Errr.... - TIE Defender - Gian Speeder - Mace Windu Jedi Starfighter - IG Lancer droid vs Lancer swoop bike clones - AT-XT - Bail Organa speeder for me please :)
  17. Ever since the 'real' Little Armory shop closed down, I bought three times from the little arms shop, and every time the transaction went smooth and the parts were good.
  18. I thought the vehicle was OK, except for the fact that IT HAS NO STEERING WHEEL!!! How are the rebels supposed to steer the damn thing? Thought control??? I know the designer had to cut down parts, but something that essential? Ouch...
  19. Well Mr. know-it-all; which one do you miss?
  20. Yes, chrome is a definitive no-no... Production costs for chrome are about 3 to 5 times more than other parts, as far as I know (hence LEGO no longer making them theirselves)... At Lowlug.nl the same question was posed, and after several replies from the fans, most votes go to : 1) a UCS R2-D2 2) a UCS A-wing 3) A death star interior (like the 10123)
  21. When I see the clone wars promo, I see this starship flying to, from and alongside a big starship; it's in it for a few seconds, and looks a bit like a bulky B-wing. Could this perhaps be the twilight? It's not very small, and could be a 100$ set from the look err... blink of it...
  22. These shots are just prelimary, you know; no need to start flipping yet ;)
  23. Hmmm... I think it's too long, so that the side wings look relatively small, and the doors seem too large from this image. Bigger is not always better, it seems; I therefore prefer the old one really...
  24. I have some serious doubts about these prices really... A V19 Torrent is smaller in size than a TIE Defender, yet it looks like the V19 is about twice as expensive; and I find that hard to believe;, especially since having seen pictures of the V19 on brickshelf. This means that either the V19 comes with a LOT of extras, or these prices are wrong, and personally I think the latter is the case. It also does not follow LEGO's price build-up for series of products, which normally have different ranges thus affordable for anyone. I really cannot imagine LEGO releasing THAT many sets at the +50$ range, and again, I have some doubts...
  25. Wow, big difference between the two; the left one has no R2 unit, but instead a lot more dust ;-)
