Well, my first sets were 25 LEGO Star Wars sets which I won, but the first one I bought (thank heavens for it, I never saw it again) was the 7190 Falcon :)

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
HJR-Holland replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Stormies first and snowies second; I ya-hoo 'ed at both when I saw the first pics ;) -
Well, of course I've only seen the trailer for the new series, but based on that I think we can expect - AT-TE - V-19 Torrent - some transportation for Asajj Ventress - B-wing derivative for Anakin - LAAT (though I have no clue how the 7163 could be bettered) - Venator ? - As for small vehicles, I wouldn't have a clue... Republic taxi perhaps?

Well, the windscreen might change the arms, but that does not explain the dark brown torso which I spot...
-
Did anyone notice that the 7668_rebelscoutspeeder does not contain four rebels, but three rebels and captain Antilles? Check the arms and the torso of the 'driver', that's not an ordinary soldier...

Oh wow, that is the cutest AT-AT I've ever seen in my life! *wub* *wub*

2008 Exclusives turn up on "Replacement parts" page
HJR-Holland replied to sam89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Uhm, I actually got this news from www.lowlug.nl really, where someone indeed had enough time to seek these things out... :-$ -
I think a season will last about twelve to sixteen episodes, and judging from the films (where there's about 2.5 years between principal photography and the final result) they'll start working on this new series roughly 2 years before the start of the season. The first phase is making sketches and model making, so about 1.6 years before the start of the new series Lucasarts can supply LEGO the first designs. LEGO will use roughly three months for their modelling, which gives the software makers roughly a full year + two months to make the game.

I've visited Berlin this weekend, and was able to visit the park. You can find pictures here. It wasn't as epic as I had hoped, and there's still a LOT of empty space which can be filled with bricks. Also, they had themes based on LEGO series no longer made (Johnny Thunder anyone?) and the waiting line was l-o-n-g; yet, Berlin in bricks looked great, the 4D movie was nice, the 1000 steine display promising for coming months / years, and the employees were all cheerful.

Hmmm, interesting to see that whilst people in other topics over here & forums on other sites are screaming & praying for a new AT-AT, there's no one actually thinking one will come in the near future...
-
I think the one on the left is called Michael, and the other one Rubens. Michael's retired these days, but he's training young X-Wing pilots, perhaps becoming the boss of the squadron one day :-D

It's really nice, a good copy of the original, but only a pity that you used a TIE cockpit for the gun on top, whereas the original is more shaped like an X-Wing cockpit I guess: Perhaps with the new Life on Mars sets arriving with orange cockpits his year, you can still change that part. Otherwise I really like the model :)

What licensed themes would you like to see?
HJR-Holland replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thunderbirds !!! Out of scale, naturally... -
These days fbtb are filled with young kids claiming whatever; I don't take them serious anymore with regards to comments like some did over there claiming they have the AT-ST, yet du moment people ask about details, they fail to deliver. It's like those setnumbers on wikipedia; probably placed there by a ten year old, and then all of the LEGO community goes beserk...

Two codes: 7163 & 4482. Caling them bad is blasphemy IMHO :-X

I'd really like the Bat-boat, Bat-copter and Bat-motorbike (with sidecar) from the sixties' TV series. It'll mean they'll even be able to add King Tut to the series! :-D

A LEGO Batman videogame will be released in 2007, so LEGO would be foolish not to release new sets ;)

I'm calling BS on the ringpic; that's NOT an official LEGO pic. This is the truedimensions hyperdrive ring, and I've built one of those...
