  1. I'm really not imprezzed, and that's a first; it all looks too <insert that tiresome argument>, too simple, and really only serve as excellent parts packs. Especially the Imperial Landing Craft, albeit it's tough to build due to it's insane proportions, could have been made MUCH better IMHO. I truly hope the 2nd halve of 2007 will be better... *wacko*
  2. Dude, the AT-ST hasn't been made since 2000; please... don't overexaggerate...
  3. X-O Where did you buy this!?! How much did it cost?!? I'll take a wild guess and say Holland and €69.99 ;-) Bingo. I'm selling one on Ebay now for 74,99€ minimum for anyone who doesn't like to wait up to September. Why 5€ more? Because I bought it in Holland yet I live in Germany...
  4. I find it a nice touch that one can choose if one wants a Luke or Wedge plane, as the set comes with extra pieces to make either Red five or Red three :)
  5. Hey folks, I've just uploaded some pics of the box of this new LEGO set, and put links on FBTB.NET You can find them behind this link
  6. Personally I think they just mean the Sailbarge & ISD; which originally had been foreseen for the second halve of 2006; they've come earlier, but perhaps the poster of this newsitem wasn't aware of this... I'd love more sets, but I really doubt it...
  7. I took reception of my ISD this evening (from a German AFOL to whom I own a LOT) and I must say it's one of the most fun Star wars sets ever built; it has many clever features, looks really good, is quite sturdy and contains great elements. I'd surely recommend it to anyone, whether you have or haven't got the 10030...
  8. There's a new LEGO videogame coming out; great moment to make a limited edition box set with a videogame and an exclusive set (Obi-Wan's blue Jedi starfighter perhaps? Or Anakins green 'n white one?) The parts are there, the figs are there, the molds are there; they only need to invest in some different coloured granulates...
  9. I'm afraid that most of you don't keep into consideration that LEGO is FOR KIDS. I don't think l'il 7 year old Johnny average is going to jump for joy for a Jedi counsil set, a rebel headquarter set or 501st attack set... Vehicles and REAL playsets, that's what the game is all about. I think the 10123 Bespin playset was a good example of what LEGO could do with a playset, it was just a pity that the set was so expensive...
  10. You're welcome; I did get them from rebelscum.com though, so they deserve the credit
  11. I really like this Batmobile, but I really hope LEGO will do the 'Ferrari-range' and make a 'Technic' and 'Modelteam' Batmobile *wub*
  12. Cool, isn't it? The best part are the ghosts which are supposed to be snowtroopers; Best of all is the ISD he made back then; almost a lookalike of what LEGO launched themselves...
  13. I'd be happy to trade it with you (depending on what you want to trade it for of course...) :)
  14. Wow, this thing really looks way better compared to the old one; melikes!!! :-D
  15. Yeah, that's real :-D
  16. I'm pretty sure some sort of Hoth set will be released before the license expires... And if not? Well, there's someone at FBTB who already made some high detailed Tauntauns that could be made out of ABS. I'd be glad to sponsor such an initiative, as the digital tauntauns look ACE.
  17. I'm coming back to the episode III list. This is what I think LEGO SHOULD make: - AT-AP - Bail Organa's airspeeder - Coruscant Air Taxi - Anakin's red 'n white speeder - General Grievous' starfighter This is what I'd LOVE LEGO to make: - AT-OT - AT-UT - Emergency firespeeder - neimoidian shuttle - Obi Wan's white 'n blue starfighter with hyperdrive boosterring - Anakin's white 'n green starfighter Should be do-able before the end of 2007, methinks ;)
  18. I think LEGO will make some Golf sets before a thing like Quidditch might catch their eye...
  19. Ever since 2000 I've been having a list with MUST-DO's for LEGO, and luckily I can tick off a few each year. Still left-to-do's are: - Sandpeople with bantha, landspeeder with Luke 'n Obi - Luke & Rancor in jabba's palace (with neat traps for both Luke and the rancor!!!) - Hoth scene (Luke, Han, Tauntauns, Wampa & Imp. Spaceprobe) - ep1 Gian speeder (not likely) - ep1 Coruscant air taxi (not likely) - Tatooine Riksha speeder - Imperial landing craft (not sure what size it should be; in 'normal minifig size it wouldn't be able to carry peronnell on board) - Outrider (seen for 0.0004 sec. in episode IV) - Family speeder (unlikely) - Ewok village - Leia 'n Luke speederbike chase scene and then of course the trillions of things that LEGO hasn't made of episode III yet (and I wonder if they'll still make them...)
  20. I'm very VERY happy with the Sailbarge; after the Sandcrawler it was the last 'big' vehicle I could have whished for before the end of 2007... :-D Honestly I think there's a certain French MOC builder banging his head against the wall for making a great MOC sailbarge, and three years later decides to sell his instructions, just before LEGO releases his own ;)
  21. Eurgh, that batman looks really bad... :(
  22. Did you know that Mercedes leaks spy-pics of it's new cars on purpose? Great advertisement for them...
  23. TIE Interceptor; mostly because of the small front wings...
  24. I agree; January 2006 will ROCK !!! :-D
  25. The cart is a little simple, but I think the A-wig looks better than the original; the shape is a lot better (thanks to those huge wedges that didn't yet exist in 2000) and I really like how LEGO did the engines on this one :)
