  1. You mean very light bluish grey and medium azure, right? ?
  2. Four-wheel steering would be nice, too. The 8880 was the last "regular car" with such steering, right?
  3. But, from a Technic standpoint, an electric car is a lot less interesting than an ICE one...
  4. I would oppose that a M.A.N. license would be incompatible with Mercedes-Benz (Unimog, Arocs), but we already have DC/Marvel and Ferrari/Lamborghini in LEGO...
  5. It isn't the first: for example, the 5-wide track link introduced in the 8275 and the 8272 spent years before its holes were used in the 45560 Education EV3 Expansion Set.
  6. Before we know it, we'll be ferociously arguing whether it's white and gold, or blue and black...
  7. It depends on the usage: large numbers of strained motors (common in Technic, uncommon in System) drain batteries faster. The 8043 is notorious for working very poorly as soon as its batteries get a little discharged. I don't think it'd provide any meaningful play time if it was powered by AAA batteries, especially rechargeable ones (which provide 1.2 instead of 1.5 V).
  8. Most likely for the same reason AA, C and D batteries exist instead of only AAA (or, for that matter, button cells like CR2032): bigger batteries have more capacity and last longer. And motorised Technic models tend to be bigger and heavier than System models, so a hub with puny AAAs wouldn't last long powering the monsters we build.
  9. Indeed. As an example, the 8448 does have motorisation instructions, but comes with yellow beams specifically to raise the rear wheels off the ground, so that we can see the effect of the different speeds without the car having to move its own weight.
  10. I've been wondering that for some time... people call it "frunk" because it's a portmanteau of "front trunk", but "trunk" is the term used in the US; is it called "froot" ("front boot") in the UK?
  11. Like was done with medium blue, medium azure and dark azure in 2017?
  12. Why not happening? So far, presence of B-models in licensed sets has been a crapshoot, so for this set I'm not placing any bets.
  13. That "Tetris piece" should be really versatile if TLG did make it.
  14. When you guys write "MK" here, am I the only one reading "Markus Kossmann"?
  15. Another good thing of it is as a cheaper source of long LAs than the 42100.
  16. Sometimes the B-model is more appreciated than the A-model. For example, in some markets the A-model of the 8284 is the buggy (it should be very interesting to know why), and people generally regard the tractor to be much better.
  17. Actually, between those two there was the 8865.
  18. At least some of them have B-models: 8110 (kinda), 42030, 42043, 42053, 42054 (kinda), 42063, 42078, 42093, and 42102. What I'm more worried about is non-licensed sets not having B-models: I don't see any reason (except perhaps tight deadlines) for the 42108 to lack any.
  19. Which old-style? With the one coming in the 42109, there are now four "generations" in total.
  20. Yes, at least the base set and the Harley-Davidson have it.
  21. Also, the models need to be simple enough for today's ADD-riddled kids to follow easily, and tough enough to support all kinds of abuse and be left potentially for years on a shelf exposed to the sun.
  22. And not only LUGs: some online communities are also officially recognised by TLG and with their Ambassador... such as Eurobricks.
  23. At least so far, SPIKE is the only PUp hub that can run programs independently without a tethered device. What I think Pybricks will do is take advantage of the other hubs' spare firmware space to store and run small programs, a bit like SBrick's sequences.
