As a data point, I once ordered 2,000 heads from PAB (two separate orders of the max 999 pieces). Then PAB stopped carrying that particular head for a few weeks presumably because they were out of stock.

The choice of black font on a dark green background is absolutely horrid! I'm referring to the latest topics list on the left hand side. I've tried reading that combination on a variety of monitors and it's always the same. It's almost impossible to read on my Dell Ultrasharps (both 24" and 27"), Dell 17" laptop, or various netbooks, and only a wee bit better on my Macbook Pro 17" and Macbook Air. I've been waiting for the admins to just change the color scheme again, but it has been weeks now.

Here is a pic of about 600 of them. I think it's closer to 1,200 battle packs total, but I'm too tired to count. Mental note: never go shopping in the IS F again. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...mp;#entry551627 Smithers: What are you going to do with the million dollars, sir? Burns: Oh, I dunno. Throw it on the pile, I suppose.

Today I bought around 1,000 battle packs (stormtroopers and rebels). Took me over 7 hours to purchase, pack and unpack two car loads. My back still aches.

Here's some pics of my car: I'm sure some of you master builders out there would have figured out how to fit more in.

I know this may sound harsh, but frankly a few people on BL make their living selling Lego because they have very poor people skills and can't maintain a regular job. There, I said it. These people really just don't understand how to deal with others. A few years back I placed an order for about $1,300 worth of parts at one European store and he charged me about $50 to ship. A few minutes later, I forgot to add some more hats so I updated that order with about another $70 worth of black policemen hats. He added an additional $30 in shipping to this "new order." I asked why he couldn't just package the parts all together, but he absolutely refused to do it. Claimed that since I placed a separate order, that they must be shipped separately. Since I thought his policy was asinine, I cancelled the entire order and he promptly neged me and banned me from his store. That guy lost a $1400 order because he refused to put all the parts in one box. I truly felt he had some psychological hangups that would not allow him to see like a reasonable person. Now the vast majority of people on BL are quite nice and I spend about $12,000 a year on BL with few hiccups. But there are a handful on there that really are bizarre.

Hahaha. You are attributing to Lego a level of business savvy that they clearly are incapable of. Refer to the fact that during the Pirates of the Caribbean movie run, Lego decided to CANCEL the entire Pirates line. Only after the movies were done did they bring back Pirates.

Spoken like a kid with no business experience. Shipping costs are trivial compared to paying for retail locations and the employees required to run them.

22 copies of Troll Assault Wagon $950 in BL (I'm closing in on 400 Forestmen )

Frankly, I don't think Lego cares about any lost profit from BL. In fact, I think they DO care very much to see that the prices of discountinued Lego rise in the aftermarket. Of course we are going to disagree on this. But, tell you what. Next year, let's see if they do include any of these very desireable mini-fig pieces in PAB. If they start including whole turkeys, shakos, rare shields, Black Falcon torsos, Armada Helmets, or any other high-value item, then you were right. If all you see are the same assortment of town items that have been there for years and nobody is buying, then I was right. The only castle torso they put up, sold out. Did they see that there was a great demand for castle and add other castle torsos? No. Did they even ever bother to replace it? No. Every once in a while Lego does ask it's fan base for what it wants in PAB. And so far, they've continued to disappoint. I certainly do hope they surprise me, but I doubt it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but . . . Notice that Steve never mentioned mini-figs in his original question about element type distribution. This may have been deliberate. I asked a LLC manager once why they did not have any minifig parts. She told me that they've been begging for them, but that the Lego company refuses to sell mini-fig parts to them. I would assume it's because doing so might decrease set sales. This does explain why Lego is selective about what mini-fig parts they do make available. For example, it costs them the same to make a minifig, yet they don't make minifigs from popular lines like Castle and Pirate available for cheap. But they do make mini-figs from unpopular lines available (mostly Town). And, they know enough to charge a premium for the popular mini-figs in the Vintage Collections. As much as I would LOVE for a source of cheap mini-fig parts and accessories, I fear it won't ever happen.

I've filled my entire house with Lego. I've filled my entire garage with Lego so I can no longer park my cars in there. I've filled four separate storage rooms with Lego. Still, as long as I spend less than $10K per month on Lego, I feel I am okay. Addiction? What addiction?

Anyone have a large-ish quantity of yellow legs with yellow hips for sale or trade? I would like 50-100 of them.

Yes. Yes I do. I guess my problem is that one faction has gotten too big. My Scorpions are over 1200 strong. Now all the other castle factions seem small in comparison so I need to build them up.

Congrats on going to LLC! Here are some tips: - Don't be a noob and visit the miniland first. Hit all the popular rides first. Later in the day, a lot of people are going to arrive and the lines can get really long for the rides. At that point you can stroll through miniland at your leisure, eat lunch, or catch some of the shows. - The BBQ in the castle area is good and there is ice cream and apple fries nearby for dessert. The pizza place next to duplo land is also very good. - LLC is a big loop. Personally, I like going going counter clock-wise as you get to most of the popular rides that way first. - Go to the Lego clubhouse and tell them you are visiting from a foreign country and if you could get a commenorative brick. If they are nice, they'll probably give you the brick of the month, but usually it's reserved for annual passholders. Sometimes they give out bricks at the end of the Lego factory tour as well.

38 Clone Walker Battle Packs 25 Dwarve Battle Packs 15 Troll Battle Packs $1500 in BL $73 at Brickarms (I'll finally be able to finish arming all my Blacktron guys)

I tried buying tickets 6 weeks ago, but they were already sold out. Is there any way to still get tickets?

The new Imperial Guards have printing on their backs. So do you still add a backpack to them or not? Previously I had not because they do have printing on the back and I did not want to cover it up. But now they look out of place next to my older Imperial Guards that do have backpacks and I'm beginning to think they look better with the backpack. Can an admin turn this into a poll?

I bought 100 of the Rebel Scout Speeder and 61 of the Dwarves Mine Defender (I tried ordering 200 of them, but 61 is all they had left).

I have an extra chrome stormtrooper from Star Wars weekend. Using US prices as a baseline guide, I would like 3 of the Wizard impulse set in exchange as I wasn't able to find it in the US. (The stormtrooper cost $13 and three impulse sets cost $10.50.) PM me if interested.

My last count was around 26,000. But by now I should be approaching 30,000 or so.

All the F logos around the car, the stacked quad pipes, the fender vents, the sound of the engine over 3000RPM - uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure. Now that it's paid off, I've freed up my income for more toys.

Not me in the pic, but I drive a black 2008 IS F like this:

I never understood that hatred such threads generate. I mean, if people want to discuss SW Lego, they should be free to as it's the SW Lego forum. And it's not as if this forum is inundated with hundreds of posts every day. You'd think any relevant traffic is good. If you don't want to read it, don't click on them. Simple as that.
