They have a C4 Exclusive! I managed to get one but it is hard to get. You have to win a raffle in order to purchase it. It is limited to 500 sets. Features Vader, 2 Royal Guards, and 2 Stormtroopers in a see through plastic box. Will try to put up pics later. Really, really tired. Oh yeah. I also got one of those 10,000 gold C3POs!

Not meaning to boast or offend. A lot of people suggested I sell the Lego and I was just explaining why I don't want to do that. I feel quite fortunate in that regard, but I have worked hard to get where I am and still generally work 7 days a week. Now the minifig population I'm actually quite proud of though, which is why I put the smiley there. It took me more than a decade to reach that level. I've gone and put in some small sets as someone suggested. My primary concern is that the weight of the boxes will crush the bottom ones though. Some of the boxes are already caving in. Any suggestions for that? My secondary concern is excessive dust in the garage.

Yeah, I guess I'm not much into selling Lego. I've found it's rather pointless for me. I can make much more than the expected earnings from selling the sets per day I work, so spending that time to sell Lego just means I'm almost giving it away and still losing money. I've had to reorganize everything because of the 63 copies of Vladek's Dark Castle (8877) I got. Man, those things take up a LOT of space, even unbagged. I have them in four huge 45 gallon tubs, which forced me to reorganize a bunch of box sets to the upper storage area of my garage. But most of the sets I do open. My minifig population has exceeded 15,000 now. X-D

Although I do open about 90% of the Lego I buy, there are a bunch of things I haven't opened yet due to lack of storage. I've been reorganizing these unopened sets, but I keep running out of room. Already my garage, one bedroom, and 3 storage rooms are filled with the stuff. Whenever I do start cataloging my collection, I start to question my sanity. But I also find things I didn't know I had, like in this pic, I realized I have 5 republic gunships, 5 star destroyers, and 8 AT-ATs among others: What do you guys do for storage?

I own 3 of the King's castle and 63 copies of Vladek's and I prefer the King's much more. I started my Lego collecting with the Royal Knight's Castle, so that similar design holds a special place in my heart. I'm still trying to sort through all the Vladek's. My god that's a lot of Lego to have to go through. I've opened about 25 of them so far.

I've watched the show and it is quite good. Don't blast it if you haven't even seen it.

What is the oldest set you've ever found in a store?

Oh man, you made me winch in sympathetic pain when I read this! -
Phase I Old pic of stormtroopers and biker scouts (grown by about 300 more since then)

Here is an old pic of my wolfpack army: I've added another 100 or so since then. Someday I may get around to showing my 1,800+ Ninja army. X-D

I really, really hate to be a wetblanket and I think this is a cool idea which I otherwise support, but. . . technically it's likely illegal. A lot of states would define this as gambling and usually raffles are limited to nonprofit organizations with strict regulations. In California (where I live), it's also illegal to do over the internet. Here's the penal code for raffles in California: http://caag.state.ca.us/charities/statutes...415be8c4ca72f89 Read it and you'll see why you don't see more raffles around. So if you're going to do it, I'd remove any mention of EB to avoid getting them tangled up in it, keep it on the downlow (e.g. remove it from the front page), and make sure you don't have any sore loser types. Otherwise I'm actually interested to see it happen!

I have a few hundred clones and some 600 stormtroopers. Someday I'll take pics.

According to Yakface.com: 7663 - Republic Gunship looks similar to original, new gunpod design, it contain Ep3 clones (two pilots, two white, yoda, and new jedi) 7664 - Rebel Blockade Runner like ISD set but with rebels, new figs big set, nice design like UCS 7665 - Hoth Rescue tauntauns, luke and han, chew , probe and wampa tauntauns like kadus, light bley, nice I haven't seen these rumors before. Has anyone confirmed these sets? Man, army building rebels will be a PITA if that's the only set they come in.

Normally I would have taken it all, but given the rental car, the fact that I was in another state, and lack of time, I could not. Right now they are all sitting in my friend's garage and I won't even have a chance to get to them for several weeks.

I found 63 8877 Vladek's Dark Fortresses for $25 each. Yes, 63 of them. I was in a freaking small rental car. It was literally stuffed with Lego. I deboxed everything and Target was pretty good about helping me. They let 4 employees help me get everything in the car. Didn't even bother opening the doors. I was forced to open the windows and just drop Lego in everywhere. In the end, we were all pretty suprised a Pontiac G6 could hold 63 of the sets. This is the largest Target clearance haul I've had in years. And I didn't even take everyting, as I could not fit any more in the car.

Yeah, I know I could have responded, but I frankly got sick of all the whiney kids that think that you have no life and must mail out their Lego ASAP. I had my grandmother die and I was working on a $10 million case where a woman's future literrally rested on the outcome, and yet buyers would groan how I could not mail out their $5 order till next weekend. I figured my time is more valuable and I no longer cared to sell Lego anymore. Yes, all US $. I got a couple thousand minifigs, 1,000 euro armors, my horse barding count is now up to about 700, a bunch of sets, etc. About $5,500 on BL and the rest at TRU and Lego stores. If the SW battle packs were more available. . . who knows what insanity I would have indulged in. As it were I only managed to find about 50 of them. But really, I'm trying to catch up from my mini-dark age which lasted the past couple of years. I greased the wheels with the spouse by first getting her a Mikimoto pearl necklace and earring set for our anniversary. I figured she'd give me a pass for a while on the Lego, but if she ever figured out how much I was spending, I'm sure there'd be a reckoning.
-
Yeah, that's me. I had a fraudulent buyer and BL never refunded my fees so I just stopped selling. I had some people place orders but I never took their money - I just didn't respond. I see the guy with the NSS. That is incorrect and I'll send in a request to BL. He never paid for anything and I have all the emails to prove it. I've been pretty busy with work, so I really don't have time/inclination to sell Lego. Though somehow I did manage to buy $8000 of it the last couple of weeks.

It would be easier to steal these: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=74451 Yeah. It was in the late 1990s. You could still find sets 4-8 years old on the shelves. Now I'm lucky to see 2 year old sets.
-
Several years ago, I made a trip through all the K-Marts in my area. They were really bad about their inventory and back then you could still find a lot of older sets hidden on the shelves. One of the stores I hit had abou 8-10 SES discounted to $50 each. Thinking that I couldn't hold that many big sets in my car and having spent several thousand already that day, I didn't buy a single one. I went back a few weeks later, only to find them all gone. :'-( Still makes me sad to think about it. Though back then I was more concerned bulking up on Imperial Guards (I still have about 100 unopened Bounty Boats sitting in my garage.) Any sets you guys regret not picking up?

The flared helmet is the best for fit, look, classic goodness. I buy them buy the hundreds to equip my armies. The kettle helmet is a very close second. I wish they were cheaper and available in black. I dislike the dragon master's helm due to poor fit. They tend to fall off easily. But clearly the worst is the absymal bat lord's helmet. FUGLY!
