Mr Man is correct in that we do have a topic for this already, but this should go in Most Wanted Star Wars Characters, not in Future Star Wars Sets. I'll merge the posts over to there... ...and done.

'MF' is MiniFigure, as in CMF, Collectible Minifigs. The AT-AT appears to include this piece, the base included with each CMF, in light bley.

Nice catch, Cloney O'. Those should be quite useful.

The fine detail on these is amazing, and the style fits in perfectly with TLG's figures.

Technically, yes, Rebels is EU since it's not one of the six, soon to be seven, movies. But in the context of this report, I think it's kind of its own category. The EU typically includes the parts of the storylines that are considered canon, but which aren't of the highest, Lucas-approved level. Similar to how anything that dealt with events prior to Star Wars was once part of the EU (For example, Black Fleet Crisis addressed the issue of Luke's mother.). Just as Republic Commando is still considered EU while The Clone Wars is sort of above it and separate from it, things like Coruscant Nights are still considered EU while Rebels is sort of separate. Also note that the report is from a toy collector, and the only line quoted from anything official doesn't actually specifically mention the EU. 'The EU' in this case could just be a term used by a fan because we his fellow fans understand what he means; it doesn't necessarily mean that the terminology Lucasfilm or Disney used was 'Expanded Universe'. They could very well have said "Everything other than Star Wars: Rebels and the seven movies".

I'm in the same camp as most of the rest of you; this isn't really a surprise. We knew all along that Disney was going to ignore the EU, especially since they're working on major publications in the same area that a lot of the EU storyline already exists in. I'm still sad that more of the EU isn't going to make it into the new movies, but we all knew that that was going to happen, and if it means more OT sets and fewer PT sets, who am I to complain? I can make EU stuff myself if I want to, other than some of the minifigs, and a lot of the EU stuff that I enjoy is stuff I enjoy because of it's similarity to and continuity with the OT stuff that they plan to give us more of.

Oh, you did this from only one set? Always more impressive when it's an alt model. Just try not to go overboard with adding pieces just because you still have extra pieces that you can use.

I don't know; I think that would detract from the type of playability that's encouraged by LEGO. The imagination aspect has always been one of TLG's core concepts, and isn't imitating the sounds of spaceships part of the fun of swooshing them?

[SoNE Freebuild] Terror on Nar Eurbricka
Brickdoctor replied to LucasLaughing's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
That's an awesome concept. I like the fact that you stuck with the style of Kaitan's building, and then just added in little things like the extended wall, the larger and more textured area of dirt, the rubble, and the stylized smoke. -
I really like the simple but effective coloring here: just a couple shades of brown for the soil, and just one almost unrealistically bright shade of green for the sewer, all combined with a lot of plain greys, but it works effectively and looks good. I agree that the upper level of the bunker does look a little plain, and I like the effect used for the flowing water in the sewer.

I think the cause of the busy-ness and the clutter is the fact that a lot of the greebles don't seem to make sense where they're put; they look like they're just placed in random places. A console in the side of the floor, a sort of cage supporting some signs and lights but containing or protecting from nothing, a transparent dish just sitting in the middle of an assembly coming off of a hose — things like that. I think this is already a good MOC, but if you work on giving purpose to at least larger sections of greebles, and then go for a more subtle effect with smaller random details (and like BEAVeR said, a more unified color scheme might help), the clutter will give way to the industrial look you want.

I agree. The style of the Dewback, which I don't mind at all, matches that of the Tauntaun and especially reminds me of the style of the Cave Troll, and neither of those had articulated legs. (Though to be fair, they did have two articulated arms, and the Dewback doesn't.)
