So I gathered. I promoted you back to active Member, though. Hope to see you participate in a guild party of players, soon. Knight, now, or trying for more Fame with Warrior? Meet me in the game tomorrow and I have RHeart+GShield+Dscale that you can have, by the way. (though it's probably best to level up with lower equips)
-
The lag is pretty bad for me, but as long as we stay away from the godlands and events, I'll get on for maybe ten minutes.CallMePie, did you ask because you died as an Assassin? I was checking the Guild Board and I noticed you'd contributed 35 Fame, and Guild Fame was just introduced in this last build.

Unfortunately, with a medium range weapon, a special that takes a long time to kill, and an average Spd stat cap of 50, the Assassin wouldn't in real life be doing any, you know... assassinating.Actually, they only display an exceptional amount of two stats: Dex and Vit, and Vit is really pretty much pointless if you can't dodge so well that you only get hit every ten seconds or so, so... They're only used at all because lobbing a couple of the higher-tiered Poisons onto a boss is an easy and safe way to get a soulbound loot drop. (but even with the T5 Nightwing, you still need to hit it around three times)

Yeah. I have more than one mule for each class, and I try to sell all the non-Necro equips I pick up. Oryx is becoming Skipper's specialty. Next time I go in, I should seriously just wait until the second round of phases. I always end up chickening out and Nexusing when I see more than one grenade headed at me. (I call it the Medusa reflex: I've been killed by massed Medusas so many times that it's not even funny, so I find myself doing everything possible to avoid red grenades - even the ones lobbed by enemies as weak as Bandit Leaders)
-
Yeah, I let K-nut do that once in Q17 until I found out that it couldn't be used outside of combat.
-
Never stop moving. The most important skill in the entire game is your ability to dodge. Know when an attack is coming and don't be where the attack is. (for example, Medusas will always shoot at you - circle them and they'll always shoot behind you; Ent Gods will always shoot where they predict you'll be - feint in one direct, circle in the other direction, then back out or change directions again before they can shoot again) This is especially important for melee classes who have to get in close to the enemy. (bow, wand, and staff classes can easily just kite enemies, which is backing up as they follow you so that they run into your shots but their shots fall short of you) Yep. I go beyond that, actually. I'll kill off a Level 20 char and level-up again in order to get better stats. Get good stats, memorize enemy patterns, get decent equips, kill lots and lots of enemies. Story of my RotMG life. (though Skipper either does this slightly better than me or has more luck than me, because he's gotten 600% more drops from Oryx than I have)

"Ah. I've had experience with those weapons. Zoot has done nothing but harm to me, but there were a couple other heroes who went to the Arena and emerged with weapons of Zoot."

No, it's whenever there are too many n00bs on the server or when I play for hours without stopping. (I read on the forums that there's a memory leak somewhere in the program, so I just quit my browser, get back on, and everything's fine as long as there aren't too many people) Or whenever there's a complicated animation going on. Skipper says lag gets worse whenever I fire my ten-shot staff, and I lag whenever I or another Necromancer takes HP from an excessive amount of enemies and distributes it to an excessive amount of players. Oh. I do remember that you were saying that you wished there was more to do than kill stuff in the game. (which there is: loot and XP )
-
I'm lagging, too. Try quitting your browser and restarting.
-
Sure. I can get on now to invite him.
-
Yeah. You always get on just as I get off, and I don't want to start playing because I know I'll end up playing past 2am. And on that note, if you still read this thread, Brickadeer, we all want you to come back from your ragequit! (you, too, CMP) And welcome to the guild, Poison Ivy!

There're four of us on EUNorth2 right now. Did you chat us? Skipper and I were at Oryx, so we might not have seen it.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Brickdoctor replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks, Sieggy! Agreed. It's good to see more of the newer molds and things making the move to the OT stuff. It's not helping my wallet, I tell you that! I just hope that they don't have such unique parts that I can't convert them to yellow skin. -
We'll just call you 'it', okay?
-
Okay, you need to go to the golden statue in the Nexus and select a unique name. I'll see if I can find you.
-
Sort of like the opposite of Quest 17, then? That would be great. Leave them stranded on an island and make them find a way to survive at the same time they plan the assault. Gilligan's Island-style.
-
I only invited the one. He was my first mule, but, for some reason, he's also the only one I can't trade with. I got tired of people ninja-ing my loot when I had to drop it in the Nexus, switch tabs, and pick it back up, so I invited him so that I could do that in the safety of the Hall. My mules never see battle, so there's no reason for the rest to be a part.Congratulations on soloing your first true dungeon, by the way. After you click 'Play' from the main menu, watch the blue text in the bottom left corner. It'll say "Connecting to Server Name". (e.g., USEast3, AsiaSouthEast, EUWest, etc.)Alternatively, from the main menu, you can click on 'Servers' and select EUNorth2 from the list. (which is the server we usually play on) What's your username?

"Tesni, it's good to see you again! Life goes well for me. All in all, my last quest was quite successful, resulting in plenty of loot and XP, including a better bow, which was great, because I hadn't planned on spending the Gold to upgrade my existing one just yet. I see you're sporting some new weaponry as well."
-
You might as well. By the time you get to Level 20, too, you should have 20 Fame, so when you finish takeing all classes to Level 20, you'll be at Rank 13 and change the light blue star commonly regarded as the rank of a newbie into a more respectable dark blue star. Great! Ents will really teach you how to dodge. Start with a simple circling technique, circling around the Ent so that its main shots are always behind you. Then when you're confident in your ability to circle, stand in one place and move slightly to the left or the right as each shot approaches. (though if you're melee, you might want to just stick to circling, because getting in close enough to hit the Ent greatly decreases the time you have to react if you're just sidestepping)I think we all wish for more Gold. Especially for the times when I feel like playing something else, but don't want to kill off my Necro. That's nothing. I have eighteen mules right now, and I need a color-coded Excel spreadsheet to keep track of all my stuff. (what's really tough is thinking up for each one a variant spelling of 'Brickdoctor' or 'Blokdoctor' for its name )

Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share

QM Note:Cool-looking, yes, scary, no. I'm okay with you upgrading your weapon, but creating a status-inducing artifact is a little too much. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share

You recall that Xander has already taken the elves bodies and combined them into Skeleton Decoys, and you notice that there aren't enough bones left to make complete skeletons. -
It probably could've been a little harder to get. I was really just kind of trying to make up for all the stuff the players had already done, and I probably got a little carried away. I'll have to pay more attention to that if I ever host another quest like this.Which brings me to another question that I was going to ask at the end of the quest, but fits right in here: would there be interest in my hosting, in the future, another location defense quest with this degree of freedom in actions?

You might as well go for Level 20. If you like Warrior, you should love Knight. Same sword and better Def thanks to the shield. The only thing Warrior has over Knight for an unmaxed char is the Berserk, which means you deal a lot of Damage quickly, but with the Knight, you can just stun the enemy and shoot it while it can't shoot back. Me, I don't like any of the melee classes because I don't like to get in close, but I know that when I first started, I didn't really control myself at a consistent range, and I liked the extra Def. (my first two chars to 150 Fame were Knight and Pally, before I graduated to god hunting and bid goodbye to short range weapons - Pally, by the way, is as close to a Jack of all Trades as you'll get in RotMG: high Def, above-average Att, and a healing ability)It'll be nice to have more guild members playing melee, anyways. (once you start getting stat pots, we can start selling you our RHearts and DScales that we have accumulated ) I think Calanon is the only other member playing melee (Pally) right now, but I haven't seen him since he joined.

Well, yes, but you need a hundred party level-ups to get the percent bonus. Easier just to kill twenty-ish gods and be done. We actually did get the required Fame after Skipper died. Only 99,883 Fame to go until the next upgrade!

That is nothing short of pure awesomeness. Was there a particular reference face you could copy, or is this all done by experimenting with shapes to see what made the best looking face?
