  1. On the other hand, being long-range gives you a lot more time to respond to bullets fired at you. Priest, especially: range of over ten (as compared to four for most melee weapons) and a healing ability. True.
  2. I copied it from somewhere a while ago. Let me see if I can find it......ah, here. It was an issue of balance. We (Zeph, JimBee, and I) decided that it would be too overpowering for you and K-nut to be on the same quest in a party with only four members; you didn't sign up for anyone else's quest; and we didn't want to split you two up.
  3. You stroke the back of one of the sheep, which just ignores you and keeps walking. It's wool feels pristine and fluffy, and you can see why the Lions have so easily dominated industries related to farming in so little time.
  4. ~This topic is meant only for the players who have been chosen to participate in this Quest. If you wish to join the game, head over to the Rules and Discussion topic to learn how to do so.~ In the weeks preceding the Lion-Brobric War, the heroes of Heroica's fourth quest were hired by the Shadeaux to investigate the disappearances of trading caravans on Uland. Chief among their suspects were the Brobric Elves, specifically an organization known as Keveak's Army which opposed the settling on Uland of any significant human faction. Convinced that the elves were behind the raids and were attempting to frame the Lion Knights, the heroes killed Lords Keveak and Ricroar in the Battle of the Hinckwell House. Only later would they discover that the entire conflict had been designed by the Shadeaux to provoke a war from which they could profit. Thus, with the elves believing that their lords had been killed by Lion Knights, the Lion-Brobric War began. To the heroes of Heroica's seventeenth quest fell the burden of protecting the Lion Knights and their purely agricultural goals from the rampaging elven army. Under Sir Lawrence Comayne, the best of the Lion troops gathered for a last stand at Bric'Bay Fort. Exploring the fort, the heroes constructed defenses from what materials were available, giving them a fighting chance. Finally, as onagers demolished the walls around them, the heroes killed Lord Keveak's three remaining lieutenants: Lords Davril, Belril, and Leorry. With all the other elven lords dead, new High Lord Normorn took control and moved quickly to sign a peace treaty, ending the war. Though the Lion Knights had been victorious and had secured their place as a minor power on Uland, their victory inspired some of their own to return to their ancient homeland of Dastan and rebuild an army. The Lions have turned to Heroica to assist them in rounding up the rebels before they can cause any trouble with the Three Emperors… You follow the Lion Pikeman along the Eubric Highway to a field just outside Eubric, on the Eubric Plains. Looking around you, you spot your fellow heroes chosen for this quest. You see another pikeman, guarding an opening in the fence, step aside to allow the peasant and his sheep pass through. As they do, you see the pikeman turn to you. "Heroes, welcome. Sir Leonard has been expecting you. We're not completely certain of your itinerary, so I've been instructed to ask you now to make sure that you have everything you wish to bring on the quest." QM Note: All players have 24 hours to confirm their participation by posting in this topic. Any players who do not confirm within that time will be placed under the control of the Party Leader until they return to consistent, active posting in this topic. Also, check your stats as listed above and ensure that they are correct.
  5. You see a Lion Pikeman, becoming more common in Eubric every day, enter the Hall. You watch him scrutinize the list before writing a second list and pinning it to the Quest Board. You see him seek out four heroes, whom you overhear him instructing to follow him. "I'm looking for a Master Skrall, a Master Regulus, a Sir Alexandre, and a Miss Isabella. Follow me, please." 7. Be patient. You quest will end when it ends. Personally, even though this is the conclusion of the quest, I think your hurry to get out of John Paul's quest and into someone else's is disrespectful of him and the work he's put into creating and managing a quest he thinks you'll enjoy.
  8. It's risky, though. If the Knight misses the Stun or the Paladin doesn't heal fast enough or the Warrior Berserks at the wrong moment...dead. Much less risk involved with a long-range class. I'd rather be alive than tank for a few extra risky seconds to get loot. My unmaxed Necro got me Def and Vit from O2 with just a couple seconds of shots and one hit with the skull, so it's not as if we long-ranged classes don't deal enough Damage.
  9. In the appropriate sub-forum by theme. I believe that this would go in the Licensed forum.
  10. OoC: Yeah, at normal Health, I'd prefer not to take the chance. I'll post the order once I know which player's pulling me out. Seeing the bear still going fairly strong, I struggle into a position from which my teammates can hear me. "That didn't go as well as I'd hoped. You'd best pull me out this Round, lest I take your blows without the benefit of Aura."
  11. Whoops, sorry. Got carried away, there.
  12. Yeah, Red Demon bolts are very close together, so if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, it's easy to get shotgunned. As a long-range class, you just need to stay back and try to slip around the side each time the demon fires.
  13. A character known to have served on a pirate ship first appeared in 1974.
  14. That'll be up to your QM. You can't post in the Hall until your QM states that the party has returned to the Hall. If I haven't closed sign-ups before you get back, then you can sign up. (which, of course, doesn't mean that you will or will not get picked)
  15. I know Kiel answered this before somewhere, but I can't find it. In any case, no, you only get one.
  16. Oh, come now. Star Wars pirates have been around since 1974, when they were exponentially better than what the Clone Wars has for pirates.
  17. Those of you who still want free stuff, check my freebie mule first. I got a lot of drops today, and I ended up throwing a lot of stuff on that mule. O1 works in mysterious ways. Five O1 runs, total loot: 1 Def. Sixth O1 run is plagued by awful lag, and I only got Damage in during the Artifacts phase and "If I see you". Got BBow, Magus, and Def. My guess is that during the time when I lagged during the Artifacts phase, I landed soulbound Damage since I didn't have to dodge. (knowing the bullets are client-side and that there are no bombs in that phase, I just stood and circled around a little bit to be on my toes when I my comp 'caught up' with the rest of the game and fired all the bullets at once; that meant that I didn't need to dodge and could just shoot) Then again, I got an Ancient Warning once with a Level 14 char, so maybe I just had really bad luck today. Congratulations, by the way, to Costy, who got his Dark Blue Rank 13 Star.
  18. Here you go, Erdy: Republic Tag LEGOman273, Mr Man, Sam892 CIS Tag* Nealybealy Red Rebellion Tag Esurient All the tags can be found in the Community Build topic, for future reference. *There are two versions of this tag; Nealybealy didn't specify which one he wanted. One is white with blue lines, and one is blue with white lines.

  20. Only Health not exceeding the maximum HP is kept at the end of the Round, and the doubled Health doesn't take effect until the end of the Round, so I assume that Health is returned to normal and then doubled again.
  21. Happy birthday, Izzy!
  22. Agreed. When I first started to seriously god hunt, the first char that I got a significant amount of stat pots with was an Archer. (got my first with a Priest, in case you were wondering, but it takes forever to kill things with a Priest's low DPS)
  23. OoC: MegaBloks, Nur is awesome! My Aura doubles my current Health regardless of max HP, so for the next Round, my Health should be 78/39. Also, since I'll be taking all the Damage, I'm okay if you want to auto-play the next Round. Though I'm sure you're tired of rolling dice and calculating Damage right now. Seeing the bear preparing to attack again, I allow my chivalric instincts to take over and prepare to absorb all Damage directed at the party. Crouching low behind my shield as I do this, I draw back my Briar Bow as best I can in my defensive posture from the Back Row and fire at the Enchanted Bear Skin Rug.
  24. Depends on the circumstances. If I'm reviewing a set, I take parts photos by numbers, and the numbers make it a lot easier to take photos of groups of parts that make sense. (and make it a lot easier to build the set after I've poured all the parts everywhere and picked through them doing the parts pics) There are some sets with multiple confusing colors (Dark Green, Dark Brown, Dark Bley, and Black in the instructions for 10194 come to mind) when I do like having the numbered bags to make things a little less confusing. Otherwise, I prefer the challenge of non-numbered bags.
  25. They probably did a second production run and ran out of the older faces. That's common among sets that have been on the shelf for a while during a time when minifigs were updated, such as 10188 and 6212.
