  1. Does it matter at this stage? Being rude and calling people incompetent might not be playing a courteous game, but it could really go either way as far as tells are concerned, and it doesn't really apply to the vote at hand.
  2. But even if we all agree on that, the votes are locked in once they're cast. Some of the more active have already cast their votes, and there's no guarantee that the sheep won't follow them instead.
  3. Fair enough. You just seem to be everywhere with your suspicions Today, and not presenting much with most of them.
  4. It's not a bad idea, but do we really want to risk splitting the vote further? "Driving force"? With all due respect to Roron, I have seen nothing to indicate that he has been a driving force.
  5. Okay, now you're just throwing out accusations left and right at whoever some of the rest of the Town seems to suspect. In a situation with only one vote allowed, I think the principle of Wishy-Washy Voting can be applied to your behavior. So your argument is that the Town will think that activity is Townie, but the Scum will know that the Town thinks that, so the Scum will be active, but the Town will know that the Scum will know that the Town thinks that activity is Townie, so the Scum will appear Townie, but that's just what the Scum wants the Town to think, so the Town should go after the active beings instead? Oh, this could go in circles for forever. Relentlessness is usually a Townie-tell. Scum prefer to agree with you, hide in the middle ground, and not draw attention by continuing to pursue one person.
  6. That's not the reason. This case was originally presented to me by Coryn in private, but as he appears to be asleep, I will paraphrase his breakdown of Mace's statements: First, he repeats a suspicion others had already stated. Repeating important things that others have said is an easy way for Scum to appear to contribute something to the discussion. This is a very defensive statement. Someone calls out his behavior, so he concedes the point and then provides an excuse for his action. This statement, again, is defensive: "Oh, I know, you're right, I agree with you, and I was just pointing something out, and I wasn't really doing what you said was suspicious." Players who often agree with others are often Scum trying to win others' favor. He looks like he's accusing someone, but then he claims uncertainty, continuing to sit on the fence, and leaving himself the option of voting or not voting for his 'suspect', based on what the Town appears to be doing, and providing himself an excuse if the one he accused turns out Town. And a continuation of the breakdown, by myself: So he basically repeats what others have said and condemns those who don't add anything to the discussion, when, in fact, he didn't add anything to the discussion, either. Oh, now it's no longer something suspicious or something odd or something to dwell on, now it's just a "gut feeling". Again, repetition of accusations others have made. There's always something to add. There are multiple sides to this discussion. Stop sitting on the fence, decide what your view is, and tell us why you think what you think. Argue with us. Discuss with us. Do something other than repeat what we've said.

  8. That's not a proxy vote. It's just a fake vote designed not to use up your one true vote. A proxy is when you give your vote to someone else, and you automatically vote for the same player as the player your proxied voted for.
  9. No, you said that you were a suspect. You didn't say that you had done nothing to add to the conversation.
  10. You missed yourself. I can't find any statement of yours dealing with other's behavior that does anything other than agree with something someone else has said or repeat what someone else has said. Including your accusations in the above statement.
  11. I considered it, but it took me four months the first time to get 11,500 Fame with my normal play the first time around, and, really, getting that Ammy back is my ultimate goal.
  12. So the entire reason you brought this up is so that you wouldn't have to give the typical statement? You didn't want to give the typical response because you wanted to appear Townie. How very Scummy. Townies don't have to try to do things to appear Townie, because they are Townie.
  13. Trying to assess how many people are actually considering lynching you? Why not just address your accuser? Because you know that we can't vote for you lightly and can't pressure you to say anything right away? Maybe because you're stalling for time to contact your Scum teammates? I definitely feel that you're the top suspect, but that's because of your 'defense', not your previous actions. You've basically defended yourself by saying that you wanted to alert people to the possibility, but you aren't committed to the idea yourself. That's a great way for a Scum to seem like he's helping by proposing theories, but at the same time to have an excuse later on by acting as if he's unsure and sitting on the fence.
  14. So you suggested something but were never committed to it or sure about it. Mmkay, that's just what Scum like to do. Claim uncertainty regarding or lack of dedication to a theory or idea, so that if it goes wrong, they have an excuse.FoS: Ahsoka (MacK)
  15. Just because there isn't a lot to talk about doesn't mean that we should immediately start to discuss the idea of pretty much doing nothing today. I haven never encountered a situation where all of Day 1 was nothing but roleplaying, so I doubt that there will ever be a situation with no behavior to analyze, and where there is behavior to analyze, there is basis for suspicion. Even if there is no behavior to analyze, voting is one of the best ways to create some behavior that can be discussed later on.
  16. Do you really think that everyone would behave so perfectly that there would be absolutely nothing to go on? When you first mentioned it, it was much too early to see how people would be behaving, let alone judge whether or not anyone could be a suspect. You were very quick to bring up the idea of not lynching anyone when no Townie could possibly have a solid read on anyone yet.
  17. What can I say; I'm good with Star Wars quotes.
  18. I have some more creative ones written down, but they're not appropriate for this battle.
  19. Because you might be offline during the end of the voting period and trust the player you proxied to make a sensible decision of changing or not changing your vote if more information comes up while you're away.
  20. QM Note: As you have maneuvered yourselves into a position where you can just constantly attack Lady Leofwena with the two crossbow units, therefore being unable to take any Damage for the rest of the battle, I'm going to move things along and declare this an automatic victory. As you pull your crossbowmen up behind the rows of pikemen, you cut off all of Lady Leofwena's possible escape routes. You watch as she attempts to find a hole, but your pikes stand fast, and your crossbows pin her down with their arrows. Finally, you shoot Lady Leofwena's horse down, and the animal collapses, spilling the traitorous Lion onto the ground in front of you at the base of the mountain. You hear he cry out, but her cry is not one of despair, but one of triumph. As you approach, you see another figure leap down from the mountain, landing with a clank of metal and blast of smoke. You can see that he is clearly a mage, and he wears the armor of the cultists. "Lord Calibor. You're late." "My apologies. Sphinx didn't think that you'd need saving. Again." "They brought an army. I didn't have a chance." "The smoke screen will keep them out. They can't coordinate their movements inside the dense smoke." "And the heroes?" "The Emperor should never have brought them into this. We kill them immediately. Heroes! Prepare yourselves for battle." Enemies: Lord Calibor Type: Humanoid Level: 12 Health: 150/150 Defense: 2 Special: Smoke Screen - Lord Calibor surrounds the hero with a dense cloud of smoke, causing the Blinded effect, making the target unable to use a physical attack for the next 3 Rounds or until the effect is Remedied. 21. Like I said, my list was for reference purposes. It is, of course, too early to draw conclusions warranting a lynch from it, but it's good to have a reminder of the status of each being. So you can point out anything you want that you think is suspicious, but I can't point out any arguments that I think are flawed?
  22. And for good reason. Those players are often confusing and distracting, contributing nothing, and are not at all beneficial to the Town. Lynching one in the absence of any better suspect means that we're either lynching a Scum or a Townie who's helping the Scum, and that's not a bad pair of possible outcomes. Especially on Day One, where we usually don't have any investigative results to help us in our decision.Oh, and: I'd much prefer to vote for someone who was not quiet. The quiet people don't have any evidence against them to typically base future votes off of. To me, voting for a quiet person is anti-Templie because there isn't future evidence to look back on. I expect the Sith to target someone quiet in the night, too.
  23. This is something I've never understood in these situations: suspecting someone for arguing in defense of another suspect. I have no idea if you are actually innocent, but if I think the accusations against you are flawed, of course I'm going to argue against them.Or would you rather that we all just said "I agree!" to each other and blindly followed the first person to throw out an accusation?
