Jedi Temple Mafia - Day One
Brickdoctor replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm fairly certain that Aayla was just joking there. Why so defensive? -
I think this piece is going to be a very versatile piece which will eventually get into many sets, so if it was this particular piece he was referring to, that could be why.

And when the Scum try their hardest to shift the bandwagon against me and I turn up Town after I get lynched, who would you all know to suspect? -

Good point. Especially having played a Framer before, I know that if I were the Framer, I'd target myself tonight, so extra verification of results is always good.Oh, of course, I want you to make sure, too. It'll only get harder for me if you can't trust me. -

If you use a Role Cop on me and I don't have a role, then I won't be able to do anything for the Tracker to see, and if I do have a role, the Role Cop should pick up on it anyways. If you want to be safe, use the Tracker, if there is one, (actually, now that I think about it, it's not a bad idea, but only if the Tracker and the Role Cop don't know that each other exists) but I'm not sure how much more you'd learn. -

I welcome an investigation, but do you even know what a Godfather's abilities are? -
No, they shouldn't have. They don't have the license to. Selling this by itself would be selling a Star Wars action figure. The Chrometroopers could be sold by themselves because they were sold individually as magnets.

If you take the head off, is there a small bit of metal in the 'neck'? My first thought was that this was a keychain, and someone cut the ring off and then replaced the head and helmet with ones from a normal Snowie. The part is listed on BL, but there's no availability info in that entry. -

That's not my exact fear. I observe that there are a lot of sheep (no names) in this situation, and my fear is that if the votes are split, the sheep will get confused with all these accusations being thrown out and bandwagon behind a few votes for those who are now looking less Scummy than some other suspects. -

Yes, exactly. I was saying that high activity isn't a Scum-tell. -
I must say, I'm surprised that it did turn out to be real, especially in the position shown at five minutes in the video where I would have expected TLG to use a boat stud. But I have no complaints. Awesome.

Jedi Temple Mafia - Day One
Brickdoctor replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Of course it's the Scum's goal. The point is that if you always assume that the Scum are trying to act like what you think is Townie, then you never get anywhere, because everything starts to look Scummy, except what is blatantly Scummy, so then you think that the Scummy ones are Townie, and then you think that the Scum know that because you think that the Scum know what looks Townie, and then you think that the Scum are acting Scummy in order to look Townie, and... you see what I mean? Circular reasoning like this is pointless and does nothing to help. And remember, they're trying to look Townie. Not be Townie. Because they're still Scum, and they're still doing Scummy things, they're just trying to make them look Townie. Sometimes it'll slip out, and sometimes, as Luminara says, they simply have to be done for the Scum to have a chance at actually winning this thing. Those are the things you have to notice. -

Oh, please. Can't we have at least one lynch without having to deal with the circular reasoning of "Scum know what's a Town-tell so Scum try to act that way"? If we treat tells that way, we'll never get anywhere. -

Yes, I meant to say, 'angry'. I didn't say that they were necessarily Town or Scum. I said that being angry and insulting people and arguing isn't evidence pointing towards Scumminess or Towniness. Both Scum and Town can be angry, insult others, and argue for a variety of reasons. It probably is. It. Doesn't. Matter. It has no relevance to the lynch. -

Insulting people and being agree can be the mark of a Townie intensely frustrated by something. (or it could just be a playing style) Arguing a lot is good for the Town. It brings up plenty of discussion that we can analyze later. None of the three are really Scum-tells or Town-tells.
