Ah, I see. The parentheses were throwing me off. Back on topic, I don't really mind if items Docken has are given out again (which is not to say I want someone else to have a Dread Hat, but I don't really mind), but I think I'd like it if the QM dropping it checked with the QM who originally gave it out, in case that QM intended for it to be a unique weapon. Not a requirement, but out of courtesy. (and you'd still have to check with Sandy before you dropped it, of course) But I think it should be the decision of the QMs, not of the player who currently owns the existing item.

I think he only has two hundred Gold left, actually. On another note, I know Scuba's new title is because of the discussion of leet in Rules and Discussion, but I have no idea what it says.

All I could read was '1337'. Which I only know because it's Namyrra's age.

Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

OoC: Shouldn't I have taken another Free Hit from Aepyornis A? Not that I mind. "Back to the strategy of Blinding the Aepyornis so Master Rone doesn't get Knocked Out by Free Hits. I've got Aepyornis A, Master Rone has the Hungry Bear, Master Unth'or has White Rabbit C and Master Emorith attempts to heal Master Unth'or - I can handle two Free Hits, but if I fail to Blind the Aepyornis, Master Unth'or will be taking the most Damage from Free Hits." I've always quoted the last post when running a battle since before the upgrade. I meant that I adjust the post manually in the BBCode editor, not in the RTE, and I haven't had any trouble with that. (usually it's just changing the results, calculations and description, and possibly adding or removing color or emboldening tags for effects) I don't retype the entire post!
-
Are you using the RTE or the plain text editor? I have no problems with the plain text editor; the BBCode required for a Round of battle isn't that hard to type in manually.

Happy birthday, Rick!

I don't mind taking newbies, but if it wasn't an epic-length quest, it wouldn't be a Brickdoctor Quest.
-
Of course! I'll show you the maps when I present the quest for approval. I need to finish the outline first, though, so that I know what cities to put on the maps and whether or not I need to adjust the geographic features to fit the story.
-
I'm working on quest that'll involve several new factions from outside the Free Islands. (I've already made maps of parts of two new continents) I'm helping Flipz with sets for his quest, though, so mine won't be ready any time soon. (and I've only finished half of the plot outline)

"Nice work, Master Emorith, Master Unth'or. "Master Rone, the Hungry Bear; Master Unth'or, White Rabbit C. Master Emorith, I'm not going to have much Health left after the next Round of Free Hits; please heal me. I've got White Rabbit D." "Perfect, then Master Rone can take on the Bear, being Lucky." I attack Aepyornis A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. "The Free Hits will deal base Damages of 36, 36, 24 and 7, respectively. I can easily take the first or second and Master Rone will take the last one. It doesn't really matter who takes the other two; the three of you are all definitely going to need healing next Round. I only hope we can kill enough enemies this Round to cut down on enough Free Hits for Master Emorith to heal someone next Round." "We could have him healed, but consumable or by Master Emorith. "The riskier plan - but one that'll cut down on Free Hits - is for me to target an Aepyornis. If I successfully hit it, that would cut down the number of Free Hits we take to seven, and if we also targeted the Carp, the Bear and a Rabbit, then if Master Rone went last, he could take only the Free Hit from the last Volt Ant. Free Hits would be 'Aepyornis B+White Rabbit C', 'Aepyornis B+White Rabbit D', 'Volt Ant A+White Rabbit E' and 'Volt Ant B'. But that relies on my Blinding the Aepyornis." -
Thanks for posting the pictures, Kez. I can't say that I'm terribly excited by the set, but it seems like it's not a bad set, and it looks like it would go well with the Echo 'Base' set from 2010. It's good to see the Tauntaun in another set. On the other hand, I'm still waiting for TLG to redo their Snowspeeder design.

Um, well, I picked Ranger because Forestmen are awesome, and I made myself a Forestman character, and then I just started playing.

GM Note: Skrall's Damage dealt last Round is fixed. ~~~~~ Results of Round Two of Carvenhall vs. Skrall: >Skrall vs. Benji Carvenhall - Hit ((13/2)-8=0 Damage) >Benji Carvenhall vs. Skrall - Special Damage (Marking the Favored: Skrall deals ((13*3)/2)-8=11 Damage) Skrall, moving to your right with surprising agility for an ogre of your size, you fire twice. The first shot glances harmlessly off of Benji's shield, but you're able to set your feet and make a more accurate second shot that skims off your opponent's shield and into his side. The battle continues... Combatants: Benji Carvenhall (Flare) 28 years old male half-elven Warden Level 22 *Counterstriking* Power: 35 (22+13) Defense: 8 Health: 20/36 (6+21+8+1) Gold: 130 Equipment: Crossbow of the Pongcanis (WP:13; Darkness-, Ice-, Fire-, Wind-elemental), Fauxthril Shield (SP:5), Tricorne (SP:3), Counterstrike Gloves (After the wearer is struck by a Free Hit they counter with strength equal to their level; handwear) Inventory: Golden Handcannon (WP:8; Lightning-elemental), Cobweb Cowl (Grants immunity to sudden death; backwear), Grand Potions (7), Health Core, Remedy, Phoenix Essence, Meads (3), Nostrum, Venoms (2), Smoke Bombs (2), Lightning Bomb, Water Bomb, Pickaxe, Bedroll, Shovel, Bones (3), Diamond (Light), Emerald (Wood), Garnet (Earth), Sapphire (Wind) Skrall (Waterbrick Down) 79 year old Male Ogre Hunter Level 22 *Favors Humanoid and Mechanical Enemies* *Immunity to Slowed and Bound* Power: 42 (22+20) Defense: 0 Health: 25/36 (6+20+6+3) Ether: 0/0 Gold: 174 Equipment: Leojagd (WP:20; Greatsword; User is Slowed), Hunter's Quiver (Bows and Crossbows +2 WP; allows Hunters to favor two types of enemies), Winged Sandles (Immunity to Slowed and Bound effects), Lucky Doubloon (Grants "Special Guard") Inventory: Hunter's Crossbow (WP:11; +4 vs. Beasts), Heavy Crossbow (WP:8; Knockback), Smoke Bomb, Zoot's Plaything, Mead, Grand Potion Both of you, choose your targets and the row you want to fight in. GM Note:Fixed, thanks. If you want to do this the fair way, we could do this with normal battle rules. Arena rules aren't exactly being fair in this fight.

Results of Round One of Carvenhall vs. Skrall: >Benji Carvenhall vs. Skrall - Aim ((22/2)-0=11 Darkness-, Fire-, Ice- and Wind-elemental Damage) >Skrall vs. Benji Carvenhall - Critical Hit (((13*2)/2)-8=5 Damage) GM Note: Wow, the Arena rules are broken. In a quest, Benji would've dealt significantly less Damage and Skrall significantly more. Also, I think it was decided somewhere in Rules and Discussion a while back that a Darkness-elemental attack didn't deal double Damage to heroes in the Arena; I'm assuming that this means that favoring Humanoids doesn't deal triple Damage, either. ~~~~~ Seeing the large ogre preparing to fire, Benji, you take careful aim and put a quarrel into Skrall's arm. Momentarily ignoring the pain, Skrall, you raise your own bow and let loose what's usually a mighty shot, but it ricochets off of the Warden's shield and doesn't do much Damage. The battle continues... "Change of plans, Master Rone, take the Hungry Bear. Its Level is higher than that of the Aepyornis, so we should avoid allowing it a Free Hit." I attack White Rabbit B from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. "There's no way to avoid taking a significant amount of Damage from Free Hits. Two Free Hits will deal 13 Damage to Master Unth'or, two Free Hits will deal 14 Damage to Master Emorith, two Free Hits will deal 13 Damage to Master Rone, and I'll be taking three Free Hits for 3 Damage. Let's just hope that Master Emorith can keep the party healthy." Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Dyric Rone Xander Unth'or Althior Emorith -

OoC: If one of them gets two Free Hits, does it deal both it's Free Hits one after the other, or does it deal one Free Hit and then another when his turn in the order of Free Hits comes around again?"That's essentially thirteen enemies, so we'll have to take nine Free Hits. We don't want anyone getting Slowed, so let's have Master Rone take one of the Aepyornises. Master Unth'or should take the Silver Carp and try to get it out of the battle as quickly as possible. Master Emorith and I should take White Rabbits. "I'll wait to post an Order until I know how Free Hits are going to be dealt."
