  1. I agree, immunity to healing would balance it out better. Immune to Magic isn't overpowered in itself, but when the helmets are being sold and there's no limit... I know there's been at least one Immune to Magic item before, but it was a boss drop and there's only one of it. (Robe of Spell Resistance, or something like that -- the one I dropped from Lord Keveak in Quest 4. I think ADHO has it.)
  2. Four creative heroes, Level is not of great concern. There are a couple other requirements, too, but those I'd rather not reveal yet.
  3. Last fig barf! I promise. I should be ready to pitch this quest by the time Sandy gets back, so somewhere around a July 5th date for the pitch to go up. That should be enough time for anyone interested but not in the Hall to get back.
  4. No, real life is more important than roleplaying. Stats are more important than real life.
  5. Is he the one that used to do the huge clone-on-baseplate creations with buildings made of nothing by 2x4s, and bought all the stock sets as early as possible to take pictures of them to show off on flickr, a few years ago? Aren't those reviews videos? (Not a huge fan of video reviews. A good text review (with videos in it if there are any features that demand it.) is much better, in my opinion, and that's what I meant when I said "proper review".)
  6. I agree. I mean, I think most people might have heard of the LHC, but I doubt they know the basic idea of what the whole thing looks like, let alone what one of the experiments looks like. I agree. Those were just as significant then as the LHC is now, certainly more recognizable, and they're space-going probes/craft, which I'm sure is both more attractive and more interesting for kids than something buried underground.
  7. *Docken goes back in time and avoids encountering Baba in Quest 14.*
  8. In regards to the color, Suboken Project commented on the blog post, and he said, So he would have preferred to use dark tan, but the model isn't actually the standard orange, it's dark orange.
  9. Ah, I don't have that one. Those are fun.
  10. Which head does Christian use? It looks similar to some CMF ones (like a cross between S5 Eskimo and S9 Knight), but I'm not sure. I know Jacob has the same head-hair combo as Seaian.
  11. I think every QM should include Jacob and Christian in every quest from now on, whether as a supporting character or as a barely noticeable background character. And then we try to find them in every quest. I need to check to see if I have the pieces used for their heads.
  12. Travel to the future first, grab some technology, come back, prove that you're the true Guts by performing miracles.
  13. Well, no, it doesn't cease to exist, because all the other players are still in it. We just perceive their actions as being the same in our universe as they would have been in their universe (but we don't know that), and likewise do they perceive ours.
  14. So if we want to avoid the Grandfather Paradox making time travel unnecessary, does that mean that after this quest, Guts, Hybros, Nyx, and Docken are in a universe where every event that in any way affects a hero is exactly the same, but is actually a different universe, to account for the fact that what the other players will know of what we do and what we know of what the other players do is the same in both universes because we won't play out what we might have done in the original universe and the other players won't play out what they might do in our universe?
  15. We did try to do a Back to the Future-themed pseudo-quest while the board was down and we were playing on Writeboard, but we ended up creating new problems after going back in time instead of fixing the old ones. Also, I'm almost tempted to have Docken de-equip the Beholder's Eye to see what would happen when a hero loses his mind but doesn't have a purely in-universe mind in the first place.
  16. For the most part it's doctors or wizards who use some mysterious spell or substance that already has the power, no explanation beyond that. (I think that's what you're asking.)
  17. I wait politely for Guffington to finish speaking to the Selkreeth.
  18. Pierrick Puchois calls his creation a “Personal interpretation of the well-known Venator”, inspired by a 3D rendering that was also sort of a personal interpretation. I think he’s still nailed many of the elements of a true Venator, especially around the bridge, the main turrets, the engines, and the secondary docking bays. The only elements that at first glance really look like they don’t belong are those exposed greebles behind the Open Circle Fleet emblems, and the slightly thicker gap between the dorsal and ventral hulls. While I think that overall gives it the impression of being just barely bulkier than a normal Venator, which I’m not sure I like better, I can’t argue with the really nice detailing in that gap, and really all over the model. This and other creations which can't be viewed in this forum are...
  19. I don't like how the Quinjet canopy has those two curved edges running down its length where the top panel and side panels join. Looking at the picture, it's hard to tell if the grey lines in those spots are edges or not, but looking at the rounded off front and back ends of the canopy which don't have any angles in them, I think the grey lines also follow the curve of the canopy and aren't angles/edges. I would still suggest going with the Falcon's canopy, the 6x4x8 half-cone.
  20. If any of you are unaware of it, I want to mention the photography of Kevin Boots on flickr. I blogged some recent examples. I remember when I first started blogging, in fall 2011, several months after Kevin started his first Star Wars 365. (A ’365′ is a project to post a photo every day for an entire year.) I was inactive on flickr for a long time, I recently started looking at more content there while blogging more often, and he’s still going, well into his third 365. His photos are humorous and he takes outstanding shots with everything from DSLRs to an iPod touch. So, check out some recent highlights on the blog that I wrote a bit more about, and also see his photostream.
  21. You're right. I'm completely forgetting that the very MOC that inspired this mod uses the Eta cockpit.
  22. It's a combination of an ornithopter and two air screws for a Da Vinci-themed setting! Brilliant.
  23. Oh, I missed that. I guess I'll count myself lucky that Zeph didn't make the artifact a hat, then. I'm disappointed that I don't get to use the Medal, but at least the Medal provides no in-battle buffs.
  24. Oh, okay, that's much more useful.
