  1. I had assumed it worked slightly differently, allowing the hero to opt to hit one enemy twice even if there were more enemies. But your interpretation makes a lot of sense, considering that that's exactly how Triple Shot works.
  2. Has Sarge been choosing the second target the whole time? You're right, obelix, the FAQ states that Dual Strike weapons Damage the chosen target and the enemy after it in the list of enemies or the chosen target twice.
  3. I haven't played the game in a while (Have it on CD for Windows, own a Mac, not really impressed with the experience of games on Windows on my virtual machine, don't want to pay more to play the game when I could buy LEGO instead...), but I remember the ship was a kind of rusty brown sort of color, plus the environment was often sort of dim and made things appear a little darker. Reddish brown might be more accurate -- maybe a slightly desaturated version of a color somewhere between old brown and dark orange. But you're right, it is nice to see some variation in color considering how often you see nothing but greys and blacks and browns in Star Wars.
  4. Dark Forces was the first first-person shooter that I owned, and it was pretty much the only one that interested me until Battlefront came along, so I’ve always been interested in creations related to the Moldy Crow and its owner, Kyle Katarn. (Who came along early enough that he’s not cliche even though he’s an example of the ‘badass rogue Force-sensitive mercenary’.) Now, in part because the ship was created as 3D model for a 1995 video game, it might appear to be somewhat simple. But look more closely at this MOC by Suboken Project, and notice the SNOT work in the engines, the skillful blending of Technic with System along the underside, and the little details like the printed flags in front of the engine pods and the door pieces that add texture to the top. By the way, you might have noticed that I've posted several of these finds in the past few days. I've been trying to get more quality MOCs to appear both here in the forum and on the blog, so, if you see an MOC that you think is worthy of blogging that hasn't been blogged, please don't hesitate to PM me a link.
  5. Bricksandparts, you can't attack with a melee weapon while you're Bound. Fair enough.
  6. Actually, that was allowed in Quest 4; the heroes could pay Gold to spend the night in an inn in order to rest and be guaranteed not to be attacked in the night by a random encounter. They just never chose to do that.
  7. It seems to work for me, both when logged in and when logged out of MediaFire.
  8. Well compared to the old LEGO minifig, the arms and legs are fine. The old System helmet and torso don't have that much weathering on them, though, so maybe that's making them look too complex. But since you say you like the head as it is, then I would at least paint the dark red vambraces onto the arms. The newer System version comes in two variants, one with and one without printed legs, but neither with printed arms, and it's generally agreed that neither looks as good as the Cloud City Boba Fett that has printed arms, printed legs, printed hips -- the works. So I think you could simplify the helmet and torso, but I think it would be a better solution to paint simple versions of the vambraces so that this would be a simplified version of the Cloud City Boba.
  9. Oh, by the way: Thanks, jamie, vean, and mutley!
  10. Docken thinks heroes should only get drunk to get stat buffs.
  11. Stats over roleplaying, stats over roleplaying! He's a Rogue; it's what he's supposed to do.
  12. "Ah. Well then, I should probably avoid interfering with your job. It was a pleasure meeting you; hopefully some time later you can tell me more about fauns around Eubric and their culture."OoC: I found them! I found the new hired helpers! And we know who the butler is. Can we lynch them now?
  13. To be honest, this is what I expected. I think in the last couple years we might have gotten them earlier -- I wasn't paying that close attention ( ) -- but for the longest time the August release was standard for the summer wave in the US.
  14. The 10xxx number doesn't denote a UCS set. 10xxx numbers are used across all themes for exclusives. There doesn't always have to be a second UCS set. We did get two UCS sets in 2012, but in 2011 we only got one, in 2009 we got none, and in '03, '04, '05, and '07 we also only got one. (Although to be fair the one in 2007 was 10179.) Moving posts on availability to "Star Wars Sets, Anyone?"......done.
  15. Right, Sandy used it for a 110 Gold upgrade when it could've been sold to Guts for around 250 instead, and the crossbow upgraded twice instead of once with 20 Gold left.
  16. Why didn't you save it to sell to Guts?
  17. I return the faun's greeting."How do you do, Thomas? "I...see. Have you been working for Lord Guffington for a long time?"
  18. Update 13 June 2013: As with the minifigs topic, we don't really need separate threads for best and worst sets -- the two subjects are very similar, so you can use this thread for both. I've edited the title to reflect this. Thanks! -Brickdoctor
  19. We don't need a new thread for every best/worst <insert product> list. We already have a thread for favorite minifigs, so I've edited its title and you can use that thread to list your least favorites, too -- the two subjects are already very similar. Thanks!
  20. Update 13 June 2013: We don't need a new thread for every best/worst <insert product> list. You can use this thread to post both your favorite and your least favorite minifigs; they're already very similar anyways. I've edited the title to reflect this. Thanks!
  21. I see, thanks! Strange that they did not just add a 1L bushing between each pair of angle connectors on the 5L axles. If it was one connector, then one bushing, then one connector, the lower connector would be kept from sliding and the upper one would be locked to the lower one by the plates attached to both of them.
  22. I can't tell if by 'sharing' you mean my sharing my work or my sharing my find of someone else's work. So I think it's already clear from the title, but just to be sure, I'd like to say again that this is the MOC of KW Vauban on MOCpages.
  23. I approach the faun, momentarily glancing in the direction of Guts and Nyx and the man dressed like Lady Wren* at the same time. "Good evening. Bartholomew Docken." I hold out my hand to shake that of the faun. "I have seen many different species during my time in Eubric, but I have not seen fauns before. Tell me, are there many in this area?"
  24. Nice job, mutley. Is the one upcoming torso the only part that's (right now) exclusive to this model? I have to say that even though it's a decent idea for a Yoda Chronicles set and even though the execution is good, it doesn't seem that special as a model. How sturdy is it? Those black panels especially look a little unstable, being attached to Technic angle connectors that appear to just slide on to the axles with no method of locking them in place.
  25. Very nicely done! I was never a fan of really any of the Mandalore story arcs in The Clone Wars TV show, but I am a fan of this bignette. I’m not a fan of how squarish and modernized TCW made Mandalore, but I am a fan of how that’s been captured with the tall, smooth walls and the clean SNOT work in the model. I wasn’t a fan of the animation style of TCW, but I am a fan of the almost blocky building style that — whether intentional or not, I’m not sure — seems to go well with it.
