  1. That is a more appealing price. Thanks! I spotted the set recently here in Amsterdam at Waterstones and was somewhat shocked by the pricetag...
  2. That's an easy fix, especially with freshly applied stickers, here is what you do: ~Warm the piece up by breathing on it ~Place your thumb on the sticker ~Turn the sticker with your thumb, applying some pressure Worked for me!
  3. I don't know, it is available in The Netherlands, although quite expensive at €31,75....
  4. I visited the LDC Berlin last summer and it was a big let down, a BIG let down. When you enter the center the first thing you see is a room with really nice buildings (minifigscale, not Legoland scale) of the city of Berlin, that's nicely done. The only thing is that they added light-effects: every three minutes the whole scene turns dark (night)... The rest of the center is centered around kids ranging from 3 to 9, with a castle ride (like the rollercoaster in Legoland, only smaller and much more boring, although with a few nice Lego statues on the way). There is a "factory"part in which you can see how Lego bricks are made, but the process is fake. Then there is the workshop area: here you can build a small animal, in a group lead by an animator. It takes half an hour to build a 20 piece elephant.... And the whole thing is cramped and underground without any fresh air. Don't get me wrong: I have been to two Legolandparks and I love them, but the Discovery center isn't anywhere near that. I paid 8 euros for a discount ticket and I still think that is overpriced. You should definately pay a visit to the shop though, they sell great things and entering the shop is free of charge. Just go to the cinema (down two flights of escalators) and enjoy! I would not go a second time to the Discovery Center, but anyone of course has to decide that for himself, I think the visit is nicer when you have kids in the age between 3 and 9.
  5. We have a saying in Holland: "Eén zwaluw maakt nog geen zomer" One swallow doesn't necessarily mean it's summer already.... It may be a reason for the return of the Pirates, just not a MAJOR one, in my opinion.
  6. I have wondered about this as well and I think there are a couple of reasons: After many years of use the old hinges loose their grip somewhat, making them fail to stand in upright position. The joints get more loose. I do not know how this same effect affects the new hinges because they have not been around that long... The other reason can be that the teeth of the hinges can break off, I have several broken teeth on my hinges, making them less stiff in holding the roof. Still it's a shame that they changed the mechanism from the subtile looking old hinge to the blocky looking new contraption. Luckily I have a small drawer full of the old hinges and they are still widely available on Bricklink!
  7. Very nice! I like the semi car! Well, actually the expression starts at 30 cents on Bricklink...
  8. It depends: It depends on how big and heavy your passenger cars are, It depends on how big and heavy your locomotive is, It depends how curvy or straight your track is, more curves means that it is harder for a motor to pull a train, In short, it depend!
  9. I check the site every once in a while because I love the concept and the really extensive reviews with the animations. Keep up the good work!
  10. Thanks for the review! I love the appearance of the truck and the lift is genious! Well, it is quite a good example of an actual cherry picker-trailer:
  11. Well, it is a Dutch side called Marktplaats: Basically an online flea market where it is sometimes possible to get things cheap. But I scanned the site for two years before the offer came, so the best of luck to you all (most sellers do not ship abroad so that is another complication)
  12. You people talking about your finished bulldozers are really making me jealous.... I bought this set two days ago (for 75 euros, which can be considered a bargain) and I am not able to start building until the 5th of september But at least I managed to get it cheap after two years of luring on ebay and local Dutch sites.
  13. That's right: it doesn't. When you upload the model to Lego Shop at Home it only tells you how many bricks you used, but you will never get an inventory showing which piece is used how many times. There is one solution, a time consuming one, I have done it myself. - Save the HTML instructions, that way you can see what kind of parts you used (just not the number) - Print the pieces - Follow the steps of the digital instructions (there is a part call out for every step) - Take a pen and tick the parts on your piece of paper. Depending on the size of your model you can spend hours doing this....
  14. I don't think so, in the early nineties the following set was described as Einkaufsflitzer (translation: a fast car for shopping purposes) So it will probably be a small car with one minfigure, which is always welcome on the police and firetruck crowded streets.
  15. Welcome Zekenightshade, I hope you will enjoy Eurobricks. Please try to use some interpunction and start sentences using capital letters when posting messages, it makes reading so much more easy.
  16. I appears your truck became the victim of the changing shades of grey in that same period of time, so you have a set of mixed tones. Or the seller mixed up the colors before selling the truck to you.
  17. That doesn't look that bad, just an unused paintbrush (I use on from the Hema myself) might do most of the job. Great deal by the way, I saw the ad as well but never placed a bid... Good luck on this.
  18. That is not the way to sort this out! Shame on you! Bricklink is a system that is largely based on confidence and people trusting each other. Most Bricklink sellers are Lego collectors themselves so by not paying someone you are likely to hit a fellow Lego enthousiast in the wallet. Besides, you were already ordering those pieces so you have the money to pay for them... Just e-mail the seller and prove that you are trustworthy, people will love you for it.
  19. Well, it is a tiny little picture but I can spot set 6244 Armada Sentry in there, including the baseplate... Good luck sorting!
  20. Very nice! Making decent looking trams out of Lego is not easy (I have had my own experiences on that...) but yours looks great. I visited Dresden last year and rode this kind of tram, it still is one of the longest trams I have ever seen in my life.
  21. You do have a point: I own hundreds of seats and they are all fine and sticky except for the ones in the new camper 7639. I realised yesterday that the figs indeed come off more easily (they fall of if the camper is held upside down). About the different moulding, there are two types of seats nowdays: There is the normal version And there is the one with the center sprue mark But I don't know whether the sprue mark has anything to do with the stickyness of the seats...
  22. That can be arranged quite easily, after all these swords are sold on Bricklink for a minimal amount of money: you can already get one starting from 'just' $6,50. Of course if you want a new one it'll cost you only 19,95, so it seems...
  23. Is there anyone else, reading this topic and being a Dutch speaker, who can not stop laughing when people in a Lego forum are talking about "lighting up luls"? On topic: Nice to see the quite complicated system inside these minifigures with lighting-up accessories!
  24. It seems your right! That's odd... It looks like the same parts that are used in the shovel can be used to create the front end part of the bulldozer, but that is a comment someone else made already....
  25. And that is where Peeron comes in handy, it has most instructions and you will find the ones for the bulldozer here. Good luck!
