  1. You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why: Mafia is coming to town! Do you have a favorite gift? Do you have a gift you don't want to ever lose? Well, looks like there's some mafia members looking to mess up the holidays here! Are you one of them? Or are you part of the town trying to stop them? I'm looking for (hopefully) eight or nine excited players for a Holiday themed Mafia game; this won't be too crazy of a game, but don't be surprised if it goes off the rails like all of our games seems to do. 1) Have you ever played Mafia before, and what's your experience? If not, have you read some of the games we've had on here? 2) Can you commit to the game timewise? 3) What is your preferred holiday present? 4) For dead threads/scum threads, do you have a preference to use old boards like we did before, or Discord? For your convenience, the rules (modified and stolen from Kintobor, who in turn stole from def) have been attached below, so everyone knows what they're getting into. The Rules 1. Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Nice List (Town) or the Naughty List (Scum). To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Scum, while the Scum needs to outnumber the Town. Third-party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles. 2. Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting is mandatory. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player. Failure to vote will incur a 2-vote penalty the following game day. 3. A game day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will end when a majority vote has been reached after 72 hours. After the day has been concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 20 hours of the night stage. 3.5. Players may not target the same player two nights in a row, and may not target themselves. 4. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. 5. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host, or in PM with any other players. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. 6. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. 7. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. 8. You may not edit your posts. 9. You must post in every day thread. 10. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM. 11. Violation of any of the above rules will result in a 5 vote penalty for the first offence, and death on your second offence. 12. There are no hints or clues in the day/night images.
  2. Great, I'll have sign ups tonight!
  3. Oh great! Victims players! I'll have something up in the coming week.
  4. Thanks! A lot of people did double takes for the minifig arms there, my buddy was really proud of that one.
  5. Just floating an idea... would anyone be interested in a mafia game I'm interested in running?
  6. Thanks! Those were really fun to design.
  7. Sorry about the veeery late post, but I realized I had never shared this collab build I did for Brickworld Chicago this year with some friends, The Fall of Atlantis! You think you know how it happened, well we’re here to tell you the real story. The dwarves digging deep below the earth’s surface accidentally dug too far and caused the ocean to drain, bringing the city of Atlantis, and its elven citizens, down a whirlpool into the depths below. If you’re lucky, you might be able to find all five of the Atlantis keys. This is a collaboration build between myself and a few other creative, talented, and honestly a little wacky builders. We’ve known each other for awhile but never got to build a MOC together like this. There were challenges like being in a few separate locations, but in the end it all came together. And in the end, we won for Best Medium Group Display! We weren’t expecting a nomination, much less winning an award. We’re incredibly proud of this build and already coming up with ideas for next Brickworld. I built the city of Atlantis, and motorized the falling tower, somehow I didn’t get video of it at the convention. One friend (doesn't have social media) built that fantastic whirlpool and beneath the ocean’s surface. People complimented constantly the use of minifigure arms for the mantas. Two friends, Brick.chef and brick.souschef on Instagram tackled the dwarves mining section, building a fantastic spinning drill and using lights to give a great feel to the caverns. The mining area, you can see the dwarves have dug too deep and opened a hole in the ocean floor. The central whirpool. The rest of the coral reef and underwater section And here is the city with the elven inhabitants fleeing. As mentioned early, the tower on the right here actually was motorized if it going up and down tilting over, but I don't have video of it somehow. Minikit And here it is lit up for world of lights! Hope you all enjoy!
  8. Thanks! Thanks!
  9. Walt Disney's Frozen! For clarification, that apostrophe is to say "Walt Disney is Frozen!", not the possessive form to say a movie his company might have... Come look in the Disney Vault and see just where they have kept Walt all these years. Inspired by 76252 Batcave - Shadowbox, I knew I wanted to do something like this when I saw the set, because sometimes I just like building somewhat kooky things. This build gave me a chance to use some fun Spike/Powered Up elements like the string lights, light panel, and force sensor, which you'll see down below. Here you can see the build and Mickey's silhouette. I have eight lights peeking through to help illuminate because this thing can get a little dark. BUT! when you press on the force sensor here, the red light from up above glows on Walt. Spooky! A closer view with both red light off and on with some better shots of the greebling. See Mickey Mouse in his lab coat taking care of his Creator. Looks like Donald is going to do some maintenance on the vats of cryogenic cooling to keep Walt in stasis. Minnie also in a labcoat going to check on some things with Gus. I mean, Walt Disney is Frozen, it makes sense that one character from the movie shows up. Side and back views of the build. And just some fun photos to leave you with. Comments and criticism as always are more than welcome. Enjoy!
  10. Oh wow blast from the past. I forgot about that one.
  11. Nice work! Like Yperio said, the Jazz singer's dress is a great choice.
  12. Great work! The terrain is fantastic.
  13. Fourth title! "In Atlantis, they call him Kotz I!" I have been upgraded from Mark II to Kotz I dude to Brickworld and a collab I worked on.
  14. Thanks! Yeah, I always export photos in PNG and forget Thanks! I was worried the light would bleed through to much, but it came out pretty well for me. Yeah, digital building is great, but seeing it finally physically is always a treat.
  15. Thanks! It's June 15th and 16th.
  16. And here it is finally built, with lights! Enjoy! I'm bringing it to Brickworld Chicago this year and can't wait to see it on Saturday night when the convention hall turns its lights off and it can be seen by just the lights in the build.
  17. Sorry I don't have any instructions available at the moment for this one. Thanks!
  18. Agree! They're very well done that you know just who each one is. That's great! I'd love to see them!
  19. And here it is in real bricks! I'm going to bring this to Brickworld this year, and I'm excited to see what people say there, as there are always some Fabuland builds there. I made some small modifications from the original digital build based off some available pieces I had. Enjoy!
  20. I like this idea! I'll see what I can scrounge up.
  21. Dang, nice job, scum team!
  22. I’m glad Phil has made an appearance. It would be a shame to vote someone off who never showed. I don’t think it’s worth having a no lynch day and in the interest of getting a lynch in this very first day, I… Vote: Phil (classic_spaceman) As I said, going for someone who hadn’t shown up yet feels like a wash and he has shown up now.
  23. Now now now I would like to state I would prefer no whacking or lynching in my place of business. That would be terrible for my restaurant. Could you imagine if people thought the blood of the meat was the blood of people?
