  1. Talking about joints I did this long ago to use the new joints for the transmission.
  2. I play with Lego since I was child and I never forget my first Lego, my father assembled it while I slept, it was a (722). In subsequent years I played with many kinds of Lego but when I got the (8848) I fell in love with Technic and I continued with it until the (8880). The set that brought me from my dark ages was the (8265), my wife gave it to me and the last one I bought was the (8110), which disappointed me, since then I only buy parts and build MOCs. I can´t forget the grey crane from the (722) and I think I spent about 15 years without building and 3 since I started again.
  3. You are right, aesthetics>functionality use to be model team but not every time... In fact I can build a perfect one on a higher scale but I would lose fidelity on tracks and cylinders... , we always have to play with the balance...
  4. Welldone Jurgen as usual , I like to see how only a XL motor and two wheels can move so easy the crane and the steering is so sweet .
  5. They look much better when I have my 140 black 5 axles .
  6. Mine were cheap , I have eight you never know... and if you look at bricklink I think they still are cheap... at least so far .
  7. Yes they are, I only use Lego pieces on all my MOCs. There is a machine near the old gears too .
  8. Obviously I'm doing a D575 but I have some problems. It has 8 mobile pair of boogies, chain tensioner, suspension, ripper with 8 pneumatics, 2 air pumps, the blade can be raised and you can adjust the angle thanks to the upper independent pneumatics and beside all this is a narrow machine... but all this pay a heavy price... the aesthetics. Maximum functionality and aesthetics are opposites?, I think on this scale yes they are... How to know when it's good not to copy a function in exchange for more site... I think it is pretty good until now but I still have a hard job and fun in the blade because of its adjustable angle .
  9. I would do a better question, how could they have done better the 8265?. I can not find any fault even they left us the pleasure of make it RC if we wanted. I know the system is unreal but the playability and fidelity are incredible.
  10. When I saw reminded me of this other http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=481221 is fantastic that I'm still surprising to see these suspensions.
  11. Another preview... I like to use the fewer engines I can, it only has 5 motors for 8 functions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xj52e4upJvM&feature=youtu.be
  12. A video with 5 stud black axles on tracks it will be better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0t2I7MXU1o&feature=youtu.be
  13. I try them with a lot of weight and they work very good .
  14. I have changed the machine, until now the pic has 5 autovalves, 2 pumps, 4 motors and suspension... but I have to put all the tubes, the gearbox motor, the battery, the three receivers and all the pneumatics with two accessories... for to have a RC machine with 8 functions.
  15. I preffer this http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=508922 or this http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=408143

  21. Nice, very funny the second pic .
  22. No doubt for me, some say it is not a technic set but I think it is, I love heavy machinery but it is an awesome beauty.
