Review: 7952 Kingdoms Advent Calendar
BearHeart replied to The Cobra's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This set is currently listed as "sold out" in North America. Does that mean temporarily or is it gone for good? -
REVIEW: 7327 Scorpion Pyramid
BearHeart replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I know what you mean. The brickshelf pics were done with flash which resulted in really blown out, bluish colors. I almost decided not to buy this set too because of those pics. They didn't do this set justice. Thanks again Hinckley for the great photos. -

The sets are already available at some stores. Even here in Canada. -
REVIEW: 7327 Scorpion Pyramid
BearHeart replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the review. I'm debating whether to pick this set up tomorrow or not since its at my local store. Can you maybe show us a side-view shot of the set, I want to see how the side walls of the pyramid look like (whether they get narrower near the top or not). EDIT: A question about the sides. Is the plate structure sturdy or is it delicate and come apart easily? -
UGH!! I just noticed now that the sides of the pyramid are made out of baseplates. I thought all three sides of the pyramid are going to be built out of sloped pieces, what a disappointment. The interior is going to need a lot of modding too, but I got some great ideas for that already.

Can't wait to see some pics. 8 sets, hopefully I'll have the money to buy them. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
BearHeart replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't like these figures at all. They just seem to be missing that "wow" factort that Series 1 and 2 had. I'm just gonna try to pick up a few elves and samurais and maybe the chief and thats it. -
The King's Castle set is also on sale for 109.99 at TRU. I picked one up for myself.

Which is your favourite 2011 set with pictures?
BearHeart replied to Lord Embo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My vote goes for Battle of Naboo. I'm going to pick up two of these and maybe 1 Mandalorian BP and thats it for this wave. Pharaoh's Quest and some of the creator sets are taking my money this January. -
Yes, he does actually. The back of the box shows both sides of the head. IIRC, the other face is more bandaged.

I just came back from the TRU in Oakville and they had the three biggest Pharaoh's Quest sets in stock. No sign of the three smaller ones yet.
-
I'm gonna head to the TRUs in Oakville and Mississauga to check for the Pharaoh sets. I'll report on my findings too.

I don't usually comment on MOCs but this one is really amazing! Its so hard for me to pick a favorite story. I like the use of the dogs for the Tinderbox. I haven't heard that story since I was a child and it brings back memories. Good work, Sandy.

I have the LEGO Digital Designer 4 version on my computer. How do I download additional bricks? I noticed designs like these on brickshelf which contain bricks that are not in my version of LLD:

I'd like to see pictures of what exactly you mean by 'fading'. I did notice fading/chipping on one of the Kingdoms helmets but that was on only one of the 30+ metalic helmets I have so I just shrugged it off. I figured it was caused by the part rubbing up against something or hitting something and chipping. The problem might be that the paint isn't sticking correctly to the plastic and any small touch is causing it to rub off. I doubt that its from sunlight because like you said, you only had the pieces out for a short period of time which is the case with me too.

Well I must be really unlucky because ALL my knights are pink, even the ones from the sets I got last week ( I thought the problem would be solved by now). However, I read on classic-castle that LEGO customer service will replace all pink torsos with proper white ones if you contact them.

Wow, and I felt bad for hoarding 9 Spartans! I know that a lot of people didn't even get to buy one.

LEGO has released sets in early to mid January for the longest time. I don't see why this year is going to be different.

LEGO Customer Service: How long do I wait?
BearHeart replied to BearHeart's topic in General LEGO Discussion
UPDATE: Well, I got my package from LEGO a few days ago. Seems it was stuck at customs/canadapost for some time. The stamp on it says Sept 28th so it made it to customs 9 days after my initial order (Sept 19). Looks like it was Canadian Customs or Canada Post that responsible for the delay and not LEGO CS. Good job LEGO customer service. -
The finalized figures look pretty good. I like the torsos and new heads.
-
Wow, that sucks! But I can imagine that the printed soft plastic pieces are pretty delicate.
-
I'd bet money that that description is just referencing the old "Castle" line and its not a sign of whats in store in the future. Then again, I don't know how popular the Kingdoms line is with kids and maybe LEGO is planning to bring back the fantasy elements. I think the skeletons/orcs/trolls etc were pretty popular with kids a few years back.

On September 19, I contacted LEGO CS regarding a missprinted part I recieved in a LEGO set. I recieved an auotmated email from them on the same day saying that a replacement piece will be sent out and it should arrive in 10 business days. The email also said that they will contact me if they need any more info from me. It is now October 13 and I still haven't recieved my piece or any other information from LEGO. Is this normal? Is the 10 day period just an estimate? Also, does LEGO send out replacement pieces from its manufacturing sites or do they have Customer Service centers in each country with a supply of parts? PS. I used LEGO customer service for another problem piece about 3 years ago and I recieved that one in a short period of time.
