So much about this is excellent, Dan: the rocks, the sand, the water, the grass, the road, the sign, and of course the very awesome tower. Pity for Dewalt that the invention of the cannon allows a small fleet to flatten it in 10 minutes. But a strong tower, and very picturesque until those days come!

Okay, I have 3 of the 18 so far. Original witch from Fright Knights, the troll sorceress from Fantasy Era, and the new Lion Knights princess. I also have the princess from 6081 King's Mountain Fortress (1990), but her dress is not a printed piece. Sandy, if there's going to be Pirates of the Caribbean next year, I imagine there might be some more printed dresses for that?

You could use the same clips you have for the fig's arms or the ones holding the horns to come out the sides of the ox/buffalo/bantha(?!) and put an axe in those, trailing behind it.

It's a tough one, but maybe this could work? I had a look through the minifig utensils & weapons and I don't know how big this is, but it was the most plough-looking item I could see. Maybe 2 or 3 side by side? Could be a stretch.

but not giving up... When I was little, I used to write stories about "wizzeds" haha. I found an old writing book and about half way through it the stories changed to be about "wizards" ... probably about the same time I learned to read a dictionary... -
As soon as I saw the title & sub-title I immediately thought hmmm.... maybe a star destroyer would look like this:

Is TLG trying to price itself out of the market here? What exchange rates are they looking at? 2002? This is a statement and not a question? 0 out of 4 shops for minifig search today. And got stuck in school traffic. On a steep hill. About a dozen handbrake starts before I got to the top... -

Better than using only existing characters and totally contradicting every expanded universe story? Pretty sure there'd be more complaints about that. New characters are better, because you don't know what happens to them, how they end (if they do). We already know Aurra Sing is alive and survives. We don't know what will happen to Cad Bane though! -

Get that filthy language out of here, you scum-of-the-earth! -
Haha. The little aliens were made for this occasion... wow, EPIC. And welcome to Eurobricks!

I'm gonna play by the rules: if an earthquake wiped out all my Lego (this is even less likely than an official Beatles reunion) I would re-purchase Castle but probably say goodbye to all the Space stuff, and the Town & Pirates sets I got as a kid. Why the Space? Because it's a complete collection. Objective has been reached. I would get the Castle stuff again because I haven't completed my collection yet. This would mean I would have A LOT of money left over! Use it to complete the Castle collection, and probably still have plenty left over for a nice holiday. Ahhhh. If this hypothetical earthquake had arrived a few months ago (after Space was complete but before I got back into Castle) I would probably say "oh well, it was fun but now I'm a free man" and keep the money for a new car, haha! So in answer to your question, given the options all Lego, all money or some of both I choose some of both. -

I didn't see any on Saturday. Question: whereabouts in Target do they keep them? -
Well... the design is really good. If you were to turn this into a full blown castle it would definitely be very impressive.

I have the entire Kingdoms line, and like you, it got me back into the dark ages haha. If you know what I mean. (I was exclusively into space for a few years) The Prison Tower looks awesome, it's some kind of cross between a forestmen's set and a mini castle (what with the gate etc.). The catapult that comes with the Outpost Attack is a good one, the tower is okay. I love the colour scheme used for both sides. Have a look under the Kingdoms 2010 topic and the individual set reviews for more opinions etc! The only fantasy era sets I have are the King's Castle Siege & Troll's Mountain Fortress, both of which I quite like. Most of my lego is vintage.

I think Mon Mothma has already been in it a few times, not much though. So long as Admiral Ackbar doesn't have another "Captain Obvious" moment. How about Chewbacca, he was in Episode 3 on Kashyyyk with Yoda. There wouldn't be much dialogue from him though I suppose... So, apart from Han Solo, Lando, and the dudes from the Rebel Alliance, it's really only Tarkin etc that I can think of as well-known characters. We already know Jabba will be in it, there's some possibilities for connections right there. Of course, all these predictions could be completely wrong and we get landed with a 3-parter about ewoks... -
I like the changes you've made here again, even though the previous version was great too. The fire spinning wizard looks awesome!

Wizard printing: face - 1 side, hat - front, legs+hips - front (I like to call it trousers+undies, superman style) Jester printing: face - 2 sides, torso - 2 sides -
Awesome! The gate is excellent, but it looks like someone tried to bite their way through...

Do Rodians take longer to mature than humans? Greedo was "friends" with Anakin in episode 1. Boba is definitely a kid. (and one that wants a kick in the pants) It looked like the jedi fighting Ventress had a purple lightsabre (and looked to have no hair at one point), but after looking again it may be dark blue with a trick of the light. I've lost track of what colour Anakin has, he keeps losing or breaking his every 5 minutes, he's worse than Obi Wan. (I know it was blue on Mustafar in episode 3.) -
Hmmm... I think maybe if you tried to use the same amount of pieces but spread it out a little bit wider? There doesn't seem to be enough space between pieces, and it also looks too long for how wide it is. Stretch it out a little wider and I think it'll look even better, and more realistic! Thanks for listening!

For those curious about the new impulse sets becoming available here, the Jester & Wizard arrived with my S@H order. The jester has double printed head and torso, the wizard has one face and no torso printing. Curiously the facial hair is grey, but his beard piece is black or almost black. The 2x2 tile has some interesting text on it, "you are far more powerful than you would ever imagine". The rest you can probably work out from the pictures. Sorry, don't have any photos available. Stupid camera won't focus for close shots. Not bad for getting 1 at $4 or $5, but they're hardly army building sets. -

I don't know who they are, but I thought I saw Greedo. And Mace Windu vs Ventress. At the 21 sec mark there's a human female jedi? Or is it Padme with a lightsabre? (just before Shaak Ti). Of course, just because they have a lightsabre doesn't mean they're jedi, I doubt Cad Bane is one, haha. Good ol' Obi Wan falls off a Kamino building again. -
Yet another fantastic episode 1 scene. Everything about it is brilliant ... except ... the head of Boss Nass. Pity, not much you can do about that. Excellent MOC regardless.

There's much to like about this! Great idea for the chandelier, but it looks a tiny bit cluttered. If you could remove some bits it might look better, but it's very good anyway. The crypt underneath is pretty cool too, and a nice touch with the ghost hiding in there! I like the assortment of creepy-crawlies but my #1 favourite part of your construction is the table! Fantastic. The vampire fig looks cool too, I hope to get one myself.
