  1. Amazing! This is my favourite colour scheme, so it's easy to please me but the model is excellent regardless... Looks a bit like Laserbeak haha.
  2. Ah, wonderful! You are an artist!
  3. It's not like it was called Castle all the way up until this year, and now they changed it to Kingdoms. The thing is... the theme was known as "Castle" but not officially stated as such on the box. The boxes in the 80s said "Legoland", & in the 90s "System" and I don't have any sets from the first Knights Kingdom, but the sets known as "Knights Kingdom II" (jelly bean knights) say "Knights Kingdom" on the box. KKII was never officially named "Castle" at all, it was just implied. Next released was what we call the "Fantasy Era" but the official name was actually "Castle" ... the FIRST TIME EVER that "Castle" was written on the box. I will make an assumption and say that the "Castle" section of Lego.com only existed for what we call "Fantasy Era" and that (if it existed) before that, it was "Knights Kingdom". You will see that there is no "Space" section on the site, but there is a "Space Police" section - it is the fans that are calling the new Space Police "SP3" & "Space". Now, the new era of castle Lego is officially called "Kingdoms" therefore the section of Lego.com relevant is called "Kingdoms", the previous era (called "Castle") is discontinued and therefore no longer on the website. Simple. The confusion comes from not knowing the difference between OFFICIAL NAMES of a line of sets and common names, given by either fans or catalogues (& different countries' catalogues usually have contradicting information).
  4. The price of this fig is going to go through the roof...

A little easier for children to say than "automaton"! Nice depiction, & you've tried to include most of the details from a very detailed scene!
  6. The red hands too - lots of clever uses for parts. The hat is PERFECT!
  7. Very nice! What did you use for the stars? Mmmm tasty!
  8. I always wanted a marble run when I was young. I tried to build something for ball-bearings once (long time ago), but it wasn't very good. I had a lot of them, I wonder where they all are? Might give this marbles idea a go, & I know I have plenty of them somewhere!
  9. I'll eventually get the BD set. For the time being I'll settle for TV rips - I still remember in the 80s watching TV in b&w, and in terrible colour with the reception going in & out so not-quite HD doesn't bother me much at all.
  10. Haha probably too much Star Trek! I tend to separate them into groups of the same colour.
  11. Wonderful! Well done again. I can't choose a favourite, too many!
  12. Maybe he was trying to get shade from the blazing hot sun? Nice little scene, Anna - and some very neatly folded laundry!
  13. Buy it on disc and watch it during the holidays.
  14. I couldn't get them connected from memory, the best I did was to place it in front of the back wall, but this is prevents taking off the removeable part of the wall, which negates the purpose of having a guard tower that you can walk through... so I think "no" is the answer there. Slightly disappointing.
  15. Looks good. It's a pretty cool looking centipede tank thingy, but why the police would have one, I can't justify! It seems more like a military vehicle. I could suggest removing the rear-most slope piece and putting something vulnerable in there to justify the other ones. (A minifig with some important controls, or some machinery relating to the cannon.) It just seems that it has big shield-like scales protecting nothing. The other suggestions: to somehow make the cannon look less square towards the end, and maybe add some lights running up the inside the cannon, either connected to the white plates or the trans blue cylinder thing.
  16. I think you could improve the colour of the walls by making the different greys "patchy" like a dog or a cow... a big blotch of dark grey here, some blue grey there etc. Also some of the walls are a bit flat for the most part. The rocks near the ground are good, just incorporate a bit of that for the rest? Good start!
  17. Useless waste of plastic. They only separate bricks, anyone with 10 thumbs or less can separate bricks. It's plates that are hard to separate! Besides, who said he was trying to separate Lego in his mouth? All we know is it was in his mouth and he inhaled it, and choked.
  18. I wouldn't say "stupid" but "ignorant" (as in didn't know). I put things in power points when I was young. I had no idea it was dangerous. "Are there any staples?" "Yeah there's some in the power point." "What?!?" "I put them in there." "WHAT?!?!? You idiot!" "What's the matter?" Okay so after being told of the dangers of 240V and seeing what happened to a power point shorted out by an unfolded paperclip (it wasn't me!) I only put power plugs into power points! How often do I choke on my own saliva? (quite) Whose fault is that? 10 years ago for some reason EVERY time I had a drink or some fluid-like food I would choke afterwards. (It's hiccups now) True, you really shouldn't put things in your mouth unless you intend to swallow them, (admittedly I often hold Lego between my lips when I'm building/searching for pieces) it's so easy to inhale stuff from your mouth, I think that's the lesson to be learned there?
  19. Very solid! And that looks like a very sizeable army to go with it!
  20. Here's a lot of trans-blue bricks! That big tree is one nice piece of work!
  21. E.P.I.C. Tell me, how many of those 7 months were taken up by TAKING PHOTOS?? 6.5? Haha. Excellent castle, the detail just goes on and on forever - level upon level... and the exterior is brilliant too. All it's missing is defensive weapons.
  22. The Container Heist/Space Truck Getaway set (the truck with the yellow container on the back laser cannon that you mentioned) is better than it seems on the box art. Most of the 2009 sets however are not as good as they look on the box (that doesn't mean they aren't good) worst offender being Gold Heist. The 2010 sets are much better sets than the 2009 ones, I'd recommend ALL 5 very highly!
  23. Someone in Germany picked up 3 full boxes for 2 euro per box this way... and I've been to Target umpteen times & still not seen anything. The checkouts are all on the ground floor and the Lego is upstairs. They do have some Lego games now though.
  24. It gives it that Grey Havens from LOTR (or even Rivendell) feel to it. The sun reflecting off everything, glowing everywhere.
  25. I noticed this too, but like the broken roof piece I wondered if it was deliberate or not - it gives it a run-down appearance, and adds character. There's a new method for you to try on your historic MOC building boys & girls! After all, they certainly didn't have the same building regulations back then as we do now.
