I think the emphasis is on the art of photography - where the object in the photo is Lego, in this particular topic, from (most of) the licenced themes. So if you were to post a photo of a MOC you created it would be fine, so long as you viewed the PHOTOGRAPHY as art.

Don't forget Figwit! Haha. I won't hold my breath waiting for him but black would be good. Hey, what about Arwen? She has black hair too, doesn't she? Problem with Elrond is he has a very high hair line - and Arwen has her ears covered most of the time. But we can still hope. edit: okay turns out Figwit just had very dark brown hair.

I always wondered what Americans were talking about when they said "bangs" - a bit weird when you're reading a description of someone's facial features and such, and it says she has nice bangs... not a polite sounding thing to say over here about a lady. (Bang, if not meaning explosion, is one of those words used for "lovin' without much love" if you catch my drift.) I figured out after a while that it was something to do with hair, but it sounded like something unconventional or crazy. Like a mohawk, afro or dreadlocks. So fringe, then.

Yeah come on, I've been waiting to find out what happened to that missing week! I haven't seen the Simpsons episode, but my Aunty was saying the other day pretty much the same thing - you can get all this specific specialised stuff but it's fairly difficult to find a box of generic parts or plain bricks. My response was that it's there, but it doesn't sell like the other stuff so you have to look harder to find it.

The word nocturnal is an adjective. That'd be like calling yourself the "fasts" "awesomes" "hungries" or "carnivorouses" ... it's very informal if not nonsensical. A people group are usually given a suffix such as -ites, -ians, -ans, -i, -ish etc. The one that seems to have been adopted for Nocturnus is -ians. That was the one I preferred, it's the suffix usually used for countries ending in the letter n, I can't think of any countries ending in "us" (besides Belarus, but the pronunciation is different. The demonym there is Belarusian) to compare to but hey this guild thing is not official or anything.

Regarding the ring, I was thinking that they might make an actual ring out of either the soft bendable plastic or rubber. It would fit in the hand, and have the outer diameter of a stud or a round brick, and the inner hole the size of a handle. So it could be a 1 stud high cross-section of a round brick. That way it looks like a ring and can be held in a minifig's hand. It wouldn't be able to be "worn" as a ring though, only carried or worn as a bracelet. (Remove the hand, attach the ring, replace the hand. Or make it an incomplete circle and use it a bit like the handcuff piece.)

I didn't comment yesterday, but I like the look of the map. Pity we didn't have it 2 months ago. I don't approve of the labyrinth alteration though, it seems pretty pointless now. Why would anyone go in there? Previously you had to go through it, it was the only way to get to Nocturnus by land unless you were already in the unforgiving mountains. I didn't think there should be a path along the coast either, I imagined the range went all the way to the sea with cliff faces. They are my thoughts.

Here's a funny thing, around here the MMV was snapped up from shelves within a day or 2 of its original release and has never reappeared. I never saw it. No one even got a second shipment.

I built both castles from MISB - one set had blue helmet, one had blue-violet helmet as ihira stated. It is possible that some 8877 sets were released with blue-violet helmets, or that the inventory was originally incorrect.

I didn't say this yesterday, but I will say it today (regarding the new mold we will definitely get because there's digital art on a poster that's Legofied). The new Aragorn minifig will have bendable arms, just look at the poster...

Great review, very entertaining, and this is better than the car & caravan set I got a long time ago. Obviously. I find those "collect them all" statements very annoying. I don't think you should be allowed to give a command or direction in advertising or marketing. Suggestions, however... but that is not a suggestion, it's telling someone what to do. Regarding the number plates, here it is required by law for all trailers (including caravans) to be registered (therefore proven road-worthy) and display a plate, and for vehicles to display 2 plates (front AND rear). Therefore the licence number (alphanumeric value of course...) on the car will be different to that of the trailer.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. True "our house built in your street" style build. Compliments your existing structures perfectly, utilising the Nocturnus look - and with the neighbouring building in the local style fits the category perfectly. I don't really like the idea of building an embassy in the style of the place it's built in. Defeats the purpose of choosing a guild to belong to based on what parts you have, especially when it's only the 2nd challenge.

Nice camping ground. It's summer here, so those who are on holidays (not me ) have been doing that sort of thing. I got that red & white caravan with the blue car for Christmas once. I always wanted space & castle, I usually got town... Your town looks great all together, a bit clean though! If only real-life towns were so clean. We don't get owls when we go camping, just possums. They like to rip into tents with their claws looking for food. Some mystery prankster stuck bread under our tent once (found out later), possums were trying to get it all night.

Minifigs arrived yesterday, thanks heaps! Very exciting, first time I've "won" anything in many years. (and not had to pay for it, ebay I'm looking at you) I think I got what I was meant to, I swapped for someone's unwanted figs but don't remember what they were. I know I was meant to get Darth Maul & Padme and something else I already had so it's all good, and thanks again TLG, EB, Sieggy & CopMike!!!
