Thanks. Summaries of the sets, like Hinckley has done for the City sets, which I hoped would be in the first post here. (and other subforums have stickied or linked from a sticky) Do we have the first wave here somewhere too? I know I can find existing sets pics & info on BL, Brickset etc but I thought it might be nice to see them here, as all other themes are. Also, (now I know - but didn't before,) it's not obvious where to find Friends stuff here (on EB), as it's not listed under any of the subforums and there were no topics on the front page of any subforum, nor links in any of the stickied posts. I found this thread eventually through the search function.

Finally found this thread. Unfortunately it did not provide me with what I came looking for. Why in the Town forum can we easily find the set info on all the City sets but not for Friends? (Why is Friends not part of the Special Themes forum anyway? The minifigs hardly go together, just like Fabuland & Belville, and they are in the Special Themes forum.) There isn't even a sticky for Friends, or a convenient link to it that I could find. Or would I find all of this if I had access to the Ladies' Lounge?

Regarding Terminator Salvation, I thought John Connor was a bit of a douche. For some reason he couldn't swallow the possibility of a terminator being a good guy, despite the other 2 movies he was previously in having good guy terminators.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Artanis I replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks again, Mr G! I'm collecting the planets, CW Jedi figs (although Even Piell doesn't look great) and clones (not that there are any this wave... ) + minifigs & sets I really like. Sith Interceptor looks like a winner to me, I hadn't even considered it before. I'm not made of money so I will BL a handful of minifigs instead of buying all the sets that look good:sad:... (Besides, LOTR !!! and Monster Fighters) Has anyone else noticed that all 3 of the planets are OT? I don't think that's a good move, as there aren't many left for future waves. PT & CW have umpteen million planets to choose from but OT only had 7, one of which is used up by EpI. What's left? Dagobah & Hoth. (I can't see Alderaan having an OT theme) @Faefrost: Saesee Tiin flew his JSF in for the rescue of Even Piell et al from the prison citadel. The arc where Anakin & Tarkin become friendly. -
I'm currently going through all the Bond movies. I gave up on him previously when I found a couple of Pierce Brosnan ones to be too ridiculously action-packed and the same . Gone right back to the start though. What they don't show in "From Russia With Love" is his flooded hotel room from when he turns on the bath, gets distracted, and spends the night next door with the Russian girl he hasn't even met before ...

Yeah, I have that one... and it's the only one I'll ever have! -

The background is great, I think you should leave it. It makes it more of a "story" written down on pages. You could definitely add extra parts if you want, there's plenty of time left and room for more action in the quest even though I myself would be stoked with the effort so far as it is! -

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display

As a Geonosian army is less regimental than a clone army it would make sense to have them more spaced out and in clusters (of 5, 10 etc) rather than lined up on parade. Would you have the winged ones on the ground, or flying? -

Lucky dog walrus. The big Friends sets are always all gone by the time I can get to the sales. I bought a set for my sister's birthday, but I didn't want to give it to her so I bought another one, but didn't want to give that to her either. In the end I did give her one, and she loved it. It's at work where my niece can't eat it... -
They've been out here for about a month, along with City Alarm & Battle Of Hoth. My Mum told me she has bought them already, she is addicted to Lego board games at the moment! I'm still beating her, but only because of multiples for MOCs... I don't like the chances for most of us regarding that one unfortunately, but I could be wrong (hopefully).

Braille? I liked the upside down use of the baseplate, but I didn't even notice you'd used the same one the right way up too...

...speaking of sales, from Thursday there will be 20% off Lego at Target (but not including Friends) again. Is the Friends line selling so well that they don't need to drop the prices? Who knows. It looks to be selling well from what I've seen regardless. -
While I agree as far as watching the movie is concerned, gremlins are only supposed to be pranksters, not vicious monsters.

Pardon?

So hitting balls with a golf club is considered "fore" play? Youchies! Not my kinda girl.

Maybe he's wearing one of those body suits that go over your face as well, people wear them at sporting events and such. BTW that's not a mace, it's a flail. A mace has a stick/pole, not a chain.

Only missing the grey Space Police 3 "commando" Looking forward to picking up this new dark blue one to go with my current collection! -
In your defence the lighting in the scene is very dull, and the action fast-paced. I'm not that surprised you didn't notice by watching the film. Similarly I didn't realise it was blue before, I thought it was slimy green/grey.

Target sales start on a Thursday, as does this one. I noticed there wasn't a mention of Lego in the catalogue, so no extra special markdowns this time it seems. Unfortunately Toyworld's big sale includes no Lego. But if you want Mega**** board games for cheap -

I like Hersbrucker's pic as an idea, but with more sludge, and fire mountains instead of that much snow. You guys are WIPn it good. I haven't even started ... -
I HATE that. I remember when you could watch an action movie and actually see what was going on. These days, no. In Transformers, I thought I saw Optimus Prime kill Megatron 4 or 5 times. (Stupid movies anyway, but I've got my G1 nostalgia goggles on so what do I know! ) So I just finished going through all 4 Terminator movies. First one is pretty good, second one had a lot of good bits but was 30 minutes too long. Found myself saying "get on with it - BORING" in the middle a few times. This coming from someone who likes long movies. Third one I really enjoyed. Terminatrix was a bit gimmicky and unnecessary though. Fourth one wasn't too bad over all, but had some pitfalls. Why would the machines be taking prisoners? I thought they wanted to wipe humans out? Unless it was purely to use them as bait. I'm still not so sure I was keen on Batman as John Connor. And his wife was just not Claire Danes. Sorry dear, but you're "the other Darryn", haha. And pilot chick fell for Mr Avatarinator a bit too easily. But it had cool monster-machines.

I picked up the Battle Of Hoth the other day, built it last night and had a quick game before I had to rush off. I see it could take on a similar approach to chess. Difference being that the board, pieces & objective are all customisable. I had fun playing by myself... haha. Curiously, it says 2 or 4 players but really it's 2 teams of however many on a team. This could be a plus or a minus, compared to eg Heroica where you originally have up to 6 individual players*, you could actually have 4, 5 or more people on each team if you built a big enough board and had enough troops for everyone to get involved before the game is over. 32 microfigs sounds a lot, but for the game's play it doesn't seem to be overkill. *with a suitably modified board you can have as many players as you want of course...

Confirmed. I didn't mention it, because at best you can get @26.6% off, and the way that it works you're likely to have had a much better deal last week with the 3 for 2 offer. Plus Myer are adding a few $$ to the RRP and it doesn't work out much better than flat rate 20% off elsewhere. Unless you just want to buy 1 large set. -
Keepin it green - regarding my appreciation for ISC's green Classic Space dedication to the Fellows and the similarity of the minifigs to my previous green Futuron avatar. From I Scream Clone. Selling like Hothcakes - from this post in the Aussie Sales thread regarding what would happen if TLG was allowed to sell the Battle For Hoth board game set in the US. If not from I Scream Clone (who is a fellow?), then a sneaky mod that left no trace. (My custom Futuron minifig project has still not happened, a combination of useless local model shop always out of decal solutions & me too lazy to order online... sorry will get to it someday!)
