  1. Inspired by a scene from Spaceballs ("My hair! He shot my hair!")
  2. Wow, someone else. I like to watch the movie before I've read the book, that way I enjoy both. I did this with LOTR, and intend to do it with The Hobbit too. As such I have been avoiding movie (and book) spoilers like the plague. Of course I have a vague idea of what happens, but don't want to know any details!
  3. Take a look at the mid-year wave of SW sets. How many clones or stormtroopers do you count? None! Apart from 2 sith troopers in the Fury Interceptor and a Mandalorian there is almost nothing for army building! (Perhaps Palpatine's Arrest will have something?)
  4. The next Avalonian spamming up the Nocturnus Guild thread will be fed to Dr Rod's dissection chamber...
  5. An enting? But there haven't been any entings for a looong loooong time...
  6. Maybe you have forgotten about the forthcoming Batman movie...
  7. Not much difference these days since most people use Paypal, and BL is in English. Maybe you will have to pay in eg Euro instead of USD, maybe you will have to wait longer for the order to arrive, maybe the tax/surcharge details will be different. All you need to do is choose a seller that ships to your country. (Green box instead of red on the price comparison page.) Most of my orders have been from USA, UK & Europe.
  8. DIE. I received my May the 4th order today, complete with TIE, TC-14 & 2(?) R2D2 posters. Fastest I've received anything from S@H. Just for the info of anyone stressing about theirs. Sorry Mr Bond, I won't be watching you tonight, I'll be busy Jousting. You'll just have to "Die Another Day".
  9. Not me, considering the new sets for LOTR, Monster Fighters, Friends & Star Wars aren't on there and have begun popping up on BL for pretty good prices I couldn't find an excuse to fork out $100 on S@H again for one (but this time no free postage). Especially since the Marvel sets are double the US price on there. Hopefully Hulk doesn't go the way of shirtless Maul in the BL price, they are 2 minifigs I want (at a decent price).
  10. I hate when some stereotypical kid or ugly geek "hacks into the mainframe" of some high security department or whatever (in no time, mind you). Even worse when they're typing really fast with ONE HAND. None of the computers in movies (besides Jurassic Park ) have a mouse driven interface either. What is this, the 80s? Doesn't anyone use Windows, OSX or Linux?
  11. 10: 1 11: 1 15: 1 19: 1 33: 1
  12. Ahh.... I love the UFO alien minifigs. Unfortunately I lent a whole stack of vintage space minifigs including half my aliens to someone (for an art piece) who has since moved away and keeps neglecting to send them back. I have all the sets, and you're right, that one is a really cool ship. As is the smaller version V-Wing Fighter I think it's called, and I like the big saucer.
  13. Even easier to go studless all over! I imagine using this new flat bottomed tile would give a more secure connection than by using the old round boat stud. I hope we get 1x2 "undertiles" too for placing below single stud overhanging eaves etc. Would improve the photography of street scenes from ground view up.
  14. Who would want elves in Nocturnus?!? Not the locals, and definitely not the elves either. Their disdain of the place would keep them well away.
  15. Well I wasn't necessarily saying either, just that because it's in a trailer doesn't mean everyone already knows about it. But no, I haven't actually seen the movie yet though all my friends have. I'm a cheapskate with plenty of patience, I'll watch it on video on my own terms. (cinema prices where I live are stupid, not enough local competition)
  16. I don't watch trailers, for the very reason that they have spoilers in them...
  17. Both of my S@H orders from the May the 4th sale are still "In Process", no VIP points have been added and no money has come out of my account (can I assume they were inundated with many orders?) In addition to that, a 3rd order has shown up containing nothing but an unnamed free item. Searching the item number turns up nothing anywhere. Can I assume I'll be receiving something else instead of TC-14 minifigs?
  18. Last year's Republic Frigate set has a mistake on the box. Different parts are used than the actual model. The bit that folds up on top near the back, from memory. So anything's possible!
  19. Thanks heaps Rick & Hinck for the updates, much appreciated. A little advice for Mia: probably not a good idea to play drums in a short skirt...
  20. Funny you should say that... Yet regardless of that, the average price on BL is $50. I imagine it will come down considerably, as it's not an army builder like clone minifigs, nor a well-known character. The average price people are buying it at in the last week is $25, I think it will come down from that.
  21. The set will be deliberately limited in availability, unfortunately. That's what "hard to find" means.
  22. According to the prices of already released sets on that site, the retail prices elsewhere will be less than that. But the September release date is disappointing news.
  23. Lego Club membership is NOT free in Australia, there is a once off payment of $20, despite what the advertisements on the instruction booklets say. However, periodically some retailers will offer a docket to send off for free membership as part of their sale. Regarding "battle packs", what do you think the Orc Forge & Uruk Hai Army sets are? I think they are in lieu of battle packs, or at least for the first year or so.
