We have a first winner! Congrats, Christian. Wasn't too complicated, eh? Thank you and stay tuned for another (easy ) number tomorrow.

*meeep* Sorry, wrong. I forgot to tell that the image shown may be only a part of a longer number.

Holy cow! Now I'm envious. But, without further ado: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to start the 2012 event countdown! This year we have a brand new experience: It's a quiz! I haven't built anything this time, but have taken some closeups from sets with numbers. It may be taken from decals, printed parts, may be the set number, but not necessarily... Your task is to guess what set was used on the photo. We'll start with a very easy one: The one with the most right answers after ten days of guessing will win - nothing but my sincerest respect!

What you are looking for is red hands. Here's the list of all minifigs in the spiderman universe. As you can see, all spiderman minifigs came with red hands. Your fig is the one labelled spd028. If you click on the label, you'll get here. This is the page containing all info about your particular minifig. Now click on "View inv" on the right side and you'll be taken to the parts list of the minifig. The torso itself again consists of three parts. Click on "(Inv)", next to the torso labelled 973pb325c01. The last entry is the hands. Now click on "983" and - violá: Everything you need to know about hands! ... by the way 157 minifigs come with red hands and currently the are 124 hands on sale, beginning with 3c each. This should be a very easy way to get your hands. Best of luck completing your minifig!

The event countdown... ... has to wait for just one more day! Can't you count at all? It's fantastic to see the bright light at the end of the tunnel already. One more sleep and then 10 days to go. Yahooo!

EB-event Billund 2012 trading post
Holodoc replied to Henning M.'s topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Hello again! I was meeting a guy in my home town who's also interested in Lego. Always interesting to see there are more madmen in the world. Older than me and collecting longer than me as well, he has got an A M A Z I N G bunch of sets, some of them he wants to get rid of. So if anyone coming to the event is interested, I can bring everything to the event. Here is a list: 10129 - 500€ (copied building instructions) 8461 - 120€ (without stickers) 8258 - 120€ 3450 - 280€ built with gray bricks, including a black pedestal approx. 20 cm high All prices = asking prices! ...and a lot more Technic sets, most of them deboxed, some MISB. If you want one of those, please tell me the price you want to pay and I'll contact him. Here we go: 5563 , 8264 , 8274 , 8285 , 8386 (3x) , 8421 , 8436 (2x) , 8462 (2x) , 8653 , 8862 , 8880 (3x) , 10132 And some rarities from past years: 7864 MISB, packaging damaged , 870 MISB , 107 MISB , 740 , 741 plus a lot of Harry Potter sets, plus, plus... -
WHAT??? A beer festival is more important than our super-duper-event? *sympathy -10* Have a good time!

German - hurray! Wow - this was an in-depth questionnaire. Unfortunately nothing to win...

Yeah, TT - wish you had a nice day! Belated congrats.

Thanks for the review, Pandora and Rufus! It's surely an overwhelming feeling to see one's own country landmark being downsized to an Architecture set (I had the same feeling about the Brandenburg Gate), but I have second thoughts on the Clock Tower's design. May it be the printed tile of the clock, the 2x2 plate behind it, the 3x3 shape - when it comes to rate it, that would have been my numbers: Design 6 See above. A better set for example would have been this one made by Graysmith. Build 7 quite repetitive, nothing more to see here... Parts 6 Okay, part 2412 in tan (1x2 with grille) IS exclusive to this set, but besides that? Value 6 30€. Maybe a good price for Architecture sets, but for this parts? Mmmpf... Overall 6/10 It's nice to see this iconic landmark on the list of the Architecture designers, but it could have been more.

This was indeed an amazing contest! ... and I forgot to vote! Shame on me! There were so many fantastic entries, I'm still speechless of all the inspiration I found. Thanks to every single builder and contestant, you have all done a great work! Maybe a special architecture tag would be the right reward for you? (hint, hint to the mods) And thanks to the hosts and behind-the-scenes-workers for making this possible.

Nothing to add. Thank you for improving the "real" set! ... and letting us know. -
I have absolutely no clue

Happy birthday Izzy - have a wonderful day!
-
Wow - this is sad news. We will be missing you. Hopefully your new job will pay off (for Lego of course).

Hi Zeya! I'm not into Brickarms, Brickforge etc. - stuff, but your wanted part looks like it is made from a 3rd party seller. You wrote it: it doesn't show any LEGO marking, what would be a sure hint it is made by our favourite toy company. Don't ask me though which precise seller it is... The ebay lot you want to sell doesn't show any parts of higher interest. The classic spacemen's torsos are quite worn off, but the helmets are of the old type. But don't expect too much for that. Maybe you want to keep the white hourse for sentimental reasons.

So it's 10 copies by now. Not including mine . I've checked the link today - it's still not open for business (where did I see that slogan before?). Anyone else interested? I expect the set to go online very soon and would like to grab them asap. -

The link tells me to browse the link via 1000steine.de or brickset.com. So I've got no clue what you are meaning. Can't you post the pic directly? -

Holodoc replied to CamelBoy68's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Very well done, CamelBoy68! This must be the first complete SNOT building. It's a tough competition though. -
Is the chrome color confirmed? I still have second thoughts remembering the PotC "chrome" gold bars... Anyhow I must get my hands on this. Hopefully it will be available in Germany, too. Trust me, they will!
