  1. Wow! Thank you very much for the information, whung. The instructions are very interesting. Now that I know what bricks are used for the mast I realize how big this thing is. I love the small kitchen in the house and the 'whatever this is called' inside the Vestas van. Let´s see what I have to order from BL...
  2. The question is: Is it white or is it tan? Somebody mentioned a parts list. Where was that? And what does it say about the colors? For the set itself: Nice, but I would like to see more pics of course. I´m not as sure as most of the repliers here about the dome. Well, more pics and we´ll see. ... and I definitely have NO place to display it.
  3. That´s my ínformation, too. This is the "normal" PaB way in the Lego stores. You will pay per cup then. I fear you won´t find out. But normally they only have basic bricks and plates (2x2, 2x3, 2x4, 1x2, 1x4 and so on). If they have special bricks they are few.
  4. Now that it´s public: This is the bottle you are looking for. If it was an original Lego piece would be #33011b It was included in various Scala sets, indeed. Colors: Blue, medium blue and light violett. Or it is #6933c (on the lower right corner) Colors: mid green and dark pink. All information according to peeron.com On your photo provided the bottle is trans-red and smaller. So I would assume it´s not original Lego.
  5. Nice review, NFT! I´m not that much into SpongeBob, but these two pieces just for themselves are interesting to get: container cupboard 4532 and cupboard drawer 4536 the latter not being sold for the last 6 years! Both together are an excellent way to create detailed interiors. 6 of those for me, please!
  6. @ maiq: Try to burn a hologram!
  7. It IS handpainted. Shall I use the left hand for it the next time?
  8. With my last Bricklink order came some unprinted fleshie heads. Ladies and gents, I proudly present my new avatar: Click on first image to go to folder - when moderated. (Excuses for the bad quality, but the original photo is better. Whenever I upload my pics to brickshelf they seem to lose quality. Has anybody noticed that too?) I thought it over and over, but after all Star Trek is a licensed theme so I at least had to try creating a new avatar. Having it done I must say I really love it! No turning back to yellow. Cheers and flesh ON!
  9. Thanks for the review, Kim! What parts were you looking for? Or just for ALL of the parts? I like the story with your wife. The spider is really cool. Nice photo shots on the grass, Kim! Too bad the other alternative builds are kinda odd. Always CREATORS ON!
  10. 1. Placing a bomb. No - he´s selling pizza of course! 2. Err... later...maybe... You don´t have to buy two. This MOC was made from one copy only! But set 4954 is definitely worth buying two copies anyway. Thanks for the late and unexpected replies, guys!
  11. You better hurry. They are not at S@H any longer! That´s exactly what I did. The slammers are already seperated to our color boxes.
  12. Legomilk was in Günzburg. The links go to pics of the BigBox(es)! [translation service OFF] I like the sound of digging trough Lego piles!
  13. And now for something completely different: Tiny Turbos belonging to the racers line! When I saw 8147 bullet run on S@H for half the price I couldn´t resist buying it. We had a lot of fun celebrating a bag-build at our event using the 8150 ZX Turbo of that theme so I knew what would expect me with this "extended" set. Price: normal 49,99€ now 24,99€ (well I paid 34,99€ in a Lego store but that´s another story...) Bricks: 796 Minifigs: - Hey, this is tiny turbos, stupid! Stickers: Don´t ask (or read further) The open box reveals seven polybags, some with more smaller polybags inside, the instruction booklet, 2 ramps and the sticker sheet. Of course I put all of the bags on the table and not on the floor Hey, TLC didn´t print this on the first page of the building instructions! And you won´t see any piece callouts as well. On the other hand this is not adifficult build, so why show them? Still there is an inventory list of all bricks at the end of the instructions. Note the giant sticker sheet! We all now the DSS, but that is a new kind of extra super large sticker sheet. It holds 82 stickers! More to that later on. The build is quite basic. The only non-conventional parts of the build were the two slammers. And the most annoying part was fiddling the rubber band of the holder without destroying it. Bag 1: Easy beginning: Building the lime car, the limo and the two slammers. Nothing exciting about the lime car, but the limo was neat. It´s an 18 studs long car! The normal racers are abot 10 studs long. Nice way to put the horns on the back! The slammers. Mmmmh. Nice invention if they would actually DO something. They are supposed to give the Tubros a kick in the butt to speed them up, but the result is a 80 cm long "run" and that´s it. I had expected more acceleration from the slammers. But it´s also fun to play with the cars without slamming them. Bag 2: Convoy time: The tow truck and the fuel truck The tow truck is a great idea and a good addition to the set. The cars are supposed to crash - how do they get back home? Well, here´s the answer. Quite american layout of the truck and it´s very well done: Horns, 5 flashing lights and a right color choice. You can move the arm up and down and pull out the hook. Note the metallic silver antennae. The fuel tank has got a "secret" function. It may break on the middle of the trailer. Therefore it has a hinge build in the bottom. City fire mayhem! And there´s no fire engine... Bag 3: Long, longer, how long can a "tiny" truck be? The pipe truck, an unexpected buggy and the red racer. 36+ studs long: The pipe truck breaks every convention. The cabin is almost the same like the tow truck and the fuel truck and that is the good part of it. The trailer has to carry pipes and is functional as well as it can commute sidewarts. It looks quite unrealistic as well and you cannot drive this beast on tiny roads. Good for another crash. But there are more cars in this bag. Now this was a surprise: A buggy? This is the only 6(+)-wide car, but just because the wheels are large. Monster truck madness? I don´t care for those cars. Personally a disappointment, I would have preferred another racer. + for variety though. Did I say another racer? Here we are: The red devil. Great looking, a real fast shape and red. The best racer in this set. Vrooommm! This is the most "played with" car of the set. (Not only from me ). As you may have noticed I didn´t put any stickers so far. I don´t like stickers especially when placed over two or more bricks! And here you are supposed to do it several times. Of course the cars look better with stickers on, but they are also great without stickers. Only the fuel truck looks boring without. My sons didn´t know there were supposed to be stickers and they didn´t ask for them. So everything is allright! Here´s a closeup of the sticker sheet (did I already mention it was 82 stickers? ): The only exception I made using sticker was for bag 4: Bag 4: You go here? You pay! The highway toll booth. The only immobile part of the set, but great to brake though the barriers. That is fun! I only put on stickers on 2x2 plates where I had the idea to use those plates further on on different other MOCs. This looks a bit boring without the other stickers I admit. But still no cut off to the playability! There are also two ramps belonging to the set. These only make sense if you are able to speed up the racers with the slammers and hit the ramps correctly. I had problems with that, so they are on the shelves now... Could be a lot fun making a contest though. Like this (picture of the inventories frontpage) All cars put together: The usual leftovers: All in all this is a great set to call ones own! I did not regret buying it, especially when it was 50% off! Even normal price would not have been too much. Build: Great for smaller children, boring to AFOLs: 5/10 Special bricks/colors: None, all basics: 3/10 Design: I love the tiny turbos´ size and design: 9/10 Playability: -1 because of the slammers, another -1 because no minifig-scale. But that is not the intention of the set: still 9/10 Price/piece ratio: Dang! It´s not on sale any more. But if you hurry you could still grab one in the Lego stores. 10/10 All in all: 8.5/10 and a clear recommendation! It was and still is a set to play with your children. The size fits perfectly to Matchbox cars and that was exactly what my younger son did: Can you find all of the cars included in the set? P.S.: After buying this set I won an ebay auction with another tiny turbos set - 8135 bridge chase. This is even more fun! I will soon care for a review with some never seen photo-tricks as well. Stay tuned!
  14. Now this is a perfect 10! And for the first time I voted "5". Great playability, many details, sweet color choice, right size. Simply perfect! Now I
  15. There are two ways to deal with it: Either we buy more sets overseas, starting 1st of december by the time the EU is allowing to "import" goods on a higher price level (150€) without paying customs/taxes. or we start to buy more megablocks in Europe to be more competetive to TLC. OK, the second suggestion is no real option.
  16. Nice review Sinner! The old sets... I don´t know - every old set, especially equipped with the old non-moveable arms minifigs look very odd nowadays. I agree with you with the hull shape and its possibility to be extended, but every other aspect, the lack of detail, the keel itself (you can´t float it in shallow water) keeps me from rating it higher than 3/10. In my opninion the best police boat so far is 4021 *click to enlarge*
  17. Thank you for the review, WhiteFang! I have all been into Space at the time the set was released, so I don´t own many of those town sets. I wonder that you are showing 7 photos for just 34 bricks. That is what I would call an excellent pic-per-brick ratio. Well, 3 pics would have been enough for such a small set, eh? I cannot follow you in your evaluation. On the one hand you say 'not much playability', but rate it 7.5 and the design is described 'very very simple', but still has 8 out of 10 points. I agree with your explanation but would give it 5/10 for playability (or even less) and 4/10 for design, resulting in an overall rate of 6/10. In my opinion that would suite this set better. It´s nice, but there´s nothing really special worth mentioning on this set. I rated it "3". btw.: You should consider dusting your sets...
  18. Congratulations, guys. Have a nice day.
  19. Dillthepill, you clearly deserve a reward for digging up a 4 year old topic! Jipay is the only member who´s still on the board.
  20. The latest addition to the color problem: It´s concerns dark blue as well. And this brick is part of one set only. I still don´t get what is so problematic with producing one color constantly.
  21. I can only speak for the german Lego stores: You will find a Witc in every shop. It has been there as long as I can remember. It´s for the AFOLS to display their MOCs and for the audience to see what cool stuff one can build from the bricks sold next to the display. If you display a MOC you will receive a 10% discount on anything you buy at that day and get a large PaB-cup for free. Including bricks of course. I would call this a win-win-situation. And if you manage to display it when there are double stamps it´s even better! I assume it´s the same for all Lego stores.
  22. Mmmh. And what if the dementors have blasters? (see picture above ) I assume they would be in the lead then: They can shoot freely, whereas the battle droids have to aim at the dementors blasters to shoot them out of their hands.
  23. Or just call him D*. Nice interview Staudie. Seems we have passed the desert of no more new interviews now. We have gotten a few new fellows lately. Did you interview all of them? And for IS: Did we really miss him in this episode?
  24. What a great MOC! It really deserved a place in the WITC (window into the community). Spectacular! So much to see with so many details. I love it. Because you have already mentioned my post office I´ll continue. But I will post only two pics, for the rest of the photos and the whole story please head over to my thread. On display in the Lego Shop Oberhausen "Modular Street"
