Review: 20004 Indiana Jones Brickmaster Exclusive
Holodoc replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nice and funny review for an excellent set! Like the other 08-eventees I got this set even more exclusively. Although our package lacked the extra transparent red and yellow 1x1 round plates... -
Of course I would appreciate Star Trek sets. There are some major problems though: Megablocks was already mentioned, Star Wars is doing very very well, so why produce another space based licensed theme? And finally in my opinion the best days of Star Trek have passed already. I doubt ST would sell as good as SW, because there is much more attention to the George-Lucas-universe. The new movie will eventually change that situation, but I recall the last television series (Enterprise) that had it´s troubles - not only in the U.S. I´d love to see that, too! But this would be the cherry on the cake: A UCS Voyager with a detailed sickbay!

For the torsos I definitely have to say YES! Just have a look at the factory space sets this year. But it doesn´t have to be bad - I´ve got use for non printed torsos as well(look at my sig).

Have you ever tried using Bricklink? You can even list all bricks needed and look for the stores which sells most of them.
-
Thanks for sharing your pics, Kim! This is a great idea, now my Sigfig is nagging all the time to do something similar...
-
That would have been my only idea, but I fear the "figs" would be too tall in combination with the cars.

I will take care of both of you! Hochdeutsch ON!

Technicopedia
Holodoc replied to Blakbird's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I´m very sorry to read about you current problems. Europe is far from where you live, but if I can do something (may it be to chear you up) for you, let me know. At least it´s good to see you keep on playing/working with your Lego. With all your troubles we can´t appreciate it more what you are doing with your outstanding Technicopedia. Thank you so much! I will never understand how someone can be awarded 100% of another ones income. I hope this stays a "U.S.-exclusive"! -
Phew! And I thought they were doing another interview with Hinckley...
-
Hi Kippy0001 and welcome to Eurobricks! Before you may enter the event you will have to tell us a bit more about yourself here. Just kidding! But it still would be nice to learn something about you. English? Who is speaking english?

While we are at it: Last year we stayed at the Kirchbauerhof 4 km away from the Legoland. It was a cosy and nice place but not really close to the park. I would like to gather suggestions whether we plan to stay there again (27 people attending can cause a problem, but we have enough time) or we look for another possibility to stay. There is a new "Holiday Village" (opened 2008) next to the park. Should be similar to the place where we stayed in Billund this year. They offer a 10% for annual pass holders by the way.
-
Why? You´ll have a lot of time then! Now honest: Hope you get a work soon to be able to attend our fantastic event! *fingers crossed*
-
Of course we will only be doing the super-cool stuff on those days! To get an impression, browse the event-log from this year here and here. To be honest: We are working on your topics. Sleeping will be taken care of - just watch the event forum for updates. Food will be a personal "problem". The side events potentially can be secret. To cut a long story short: It´s all about fun, Lego and the persons behind the avatars. (But Copmike´s "Extras" for themselves are worth attending.)

This is a very nice MOD of the VW Beetle (Käfer)! Good color choice and nice details (rust). How much did it cost you to make it? Did you have all the bricks needed in your collection or did you buy all new? Well, you could have refrained from quoting the complete pics again.
-
Very cleverly done, Henning! I love those micro style MOCs and you have created a very nice one! I have to try something similar in the future. Too bad any people-bricks would not fit the scale.
-
Well, nothing to add!
-
Does anyone know if these phone specials exist for Europe?
-
Oh no - it´s you again! Mr. "hand me the price" is entering the scene. Aren´t former raffle winners excluded from actual ones?

Like I wrote: S@H - meaning "Shop@Home", the official Lego website.

Congratulations TheBrickster and WhiteFang!

Congrats, guys! I only write here, because IS told me so on the frontpage... Naaaah - you deserved it, you´ve got it. Now get back to work! -
Same here. Although I have to admit it´s weird spending 400+ bricks on just one road"plate". True, they´re looking good, but some ways of building drive up the costs to insane levels.

New Prototypes And Products Announced
Holodoc replied to Lego Customs's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
And while we are at it: Try to take more professional pictures with your camera! Sharper pictures, less useless border around the main object, a plain background (no striped paper!) and so on. All this makes me fear you´re very far from a "pro"-status. -
The smaller chess set 852001 is currently on sale (S@H)! So it´s 24,99 € vs. 199,- €. (no doubt what I would buy - come on: 199€ for children is insane!)
