That is a stunning building Kristel! The details and the colors of the front are very good? The interior is also very good. It's a shame you had to make the window display wider, because otherwise you could have made it exchangeable with your avatars.

That are two great designs! The smaller one looks more realistic to be build. The big one (hyper modular building?) is a great idea. You probably also need something like a 'T' module and an end module for more variation. A lot of modules makes displaying much more fun, because every time you have a different building. My village is also different at every event.

You can't achieve an 45 degree angle this way (as you already noticed). If you remember Pythagoras, the angled wall needs to be a multiple of 1.41 studs, which is unrealistic. One possible solution is to use the hinges only at one side. Or, like the Cafe Corner, put a turntable in center of the wall. Oh, and welcome to Eurobricks, Phazon!

Brickshelf vs. Flickr vs. Something else
Vincent Kessels replied to 750ACE's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Here is another list of pros: - People can post comments - People can Like your pictures, and you know about it - You are notified when contacts upload pictures - You can control who can see your pictures - Better upload and management tools I actually prefer to pay for it, because someone has to pay the electricity bill and pay for the hardware and development of new features. The business case for Flickr is very simple: you want to use it, you pay for it. -

That is a great building! The details in the facade are very good. I like your solution for the ladder on the balcony to acces the roof. The all white facade is perfect, because this type of building would be painted white. If anything the bley lines should also be white.

10220 VW Camper Van - Sort pieces before building?
Vincent Kessels replied to grovyggg's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes, and also pay attention to the difference between black and dark bley. They are easily confused in the instructions. (Bley is the color bluish grey. There was originally a different, much browner, grey in the older sets.) -
Hello from Ireland. i hope i am not too old for this!

Welcome to Eurobricks, shadowhearth! And, no, you can't be too old for Lego. I have club members who are more then forty years ahead of you, and they still are no where near too old for Lego. -
10220 VW Camper Van - Sort pieces before building?
Vincent Kessels replied to grovyggg's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes, that is normal for sets aimed at an older public. You don't need to sort the bags, but it is advisable to keep the bags seperated. This is because bricks of a particular type and color are grouped in one bag. Have fun building the Camper Van! Oh, and Welcome to Eurobricks grovyggg! (Don't forget to read the Site Guidelines if you haven't already, and introduce yourself in the 'Hello, I am ...' forum.) -

Thanks for the info, Xyver. The Pet Shop corner looks good. However, I would change the sand blue pillars between the windows. Bij rotating every other 1x2 brick you get the same slotted structure as on the corners.

That's is a very beautiful street scene! The corners of the buildings are great.

The outside is not my favorite (I think it's the Transition to the roof), but the inside is fantastic! So many great details like the beds, the furniture, the bath and the shower curtain. Your street is also starting to look great. I can't wait te see how it will grow.

The Log Cabin is a great source of red brown bricks. I didn't see that in the pictures initially, but it easy to spot. So how did you cut them in such a way that the result is straight and does not have a sharpe edge with cutting marks? I am just wondering what I could do with the leftover road crossings if I cut them.

That's a very nice building! The color issue is a disadvantage of making the building 16 deep. I often make the buildings a little bit deeper, so I can use double brick walls at the front and back. That also leaves a little bit more room for the stare case. However, the same issue occurs for the walls at the side, especially at the upper floors where they might not be covered by the next building.

Welcome to Eurobricks, neim343! What are your interests?
-
Why? You just put two 16 wide buildings next to each other.
