  1. Thanks KringlesBricks!
  2. Dankjewel B Rick.
  3. I'm not sure if it is permitted to make a huge topic bump like this but I just wanted to let you know that I find your Batmobile awesome! Your modified sign on the pet shop also made me laugh out loud.
  4. Thank you everyone. I'm overwhelmed by all the reactions. I've never expected so many people to leave a comment. Why would it be wrong to say? It's just your opinion. I'm glad you like it!
  5. Wow, there are some awesome details in this layout. I like the colours and the fairground attractions the most!
  6. Abandoned factories aren't called nice in normal circumstances but your mod fit's that description really well! The ambience is excellent. I like how you photographed it with the sunlight and the vegetation on the background.
  7. This is a neat idea. A nice variation on typical roofs.
  8. Thanks everyone for the nice comments! I'm glad you all like it. Thank you! The part I used is the what Bricklink calls 'Trans-Clear Cylinder Half 2 x 4 x 5 with 1 x 2 Cutout'. I had one laying around and figured that it would be a cool part to use like that. It took me several tries to get it right. Yes you do! Well spotted. That is a very cool idea. I'll have to wait until the new lego set is released tough. Thanks! The tables in the lounge are made of a combination of these parts: For the table base I used a part brick link calls 'Dish 2 x 2 Inverted (Radar)' in black. The table tops are made of a part brick link calls 'Technic, Disk 3 x 3' black (and white for the roof terrace' . The legs themselves are made with a part brick link calls 'Hose, Rigid 3mm D. 3L / 2.4cm' in reddish brown. Thank you! I didn't noticed until you mentioned it.
  9. Thank you guys! It's very nice to see some familiar faces! It feels like a really warm welcome!
  10. I like the lines of the facade. The interior is nice to. It reminds me of how hard it is to make a meaningful interior when you have just 16 studs wide to work with.
  11. Hi there, Yesterday I introduced myself and I promised that I would post some of my MOC's so here is the first one. For the Modular Moc Madness contest on lowlug.nl I've created this modular coffee shop. The goal was to create a modular that would fit perfectly next to Lego's latest Modular building, the Parisian restaurant. I've wanted to create terras covered by a canopy with vegetation for as long as I can remember and I what better building would fit that idea than a coffee bar / restaurant in Paris? On the back side is a terras where Billy can work on his laptop while enjoying the... uhh... smoggy Parisian air. . The building has a complete interior. On the first floor there is a bar where Lars makes delicious espresso's and cappuccino's from fresh coffee beans. There is a small kitchen to prepare some delicacies and costumers can sit and lounge at one of the tables or the bench. When costumers have a little more time they can go to the lounge area on the second floor and relax while enjoying some live Jazz music played by band. The fire place emits a warm and comfy light. On the third and top floor there is a toilet. It appears someone forgot to flush. Lars has his own little attic room where he can take a nap and count his profits. I've created several modular buildings before this one and this one is the first that has got a interior with this amount of details. I was quite a lot of fun to build after building for a medieval layout for several months (although I must admit, I enjoy fantasy and sci-fi even more). I'd like to hear what you think.
  12. Hi there, This is actually my first post at EuroBricks. Woehoo! I've been looking around here for a while and registered a while back. After several recommendations I decided to introduce myself and I'll be posting some of my MOC's in the next several days. So, who am I? I'm a 29 year old lego fan who lives in the Netherlands. I'll stick with my odd nickname for now, which is Tijger-San (yes, I know, it stuck on me when I was a lot younger ) I got back into lego when I moved out about 8 years ago. At first I rediscovered my old lego technic sets and collected the ones I didn't got when I was a kid. Then I discovered new ones and how things had changed a lot since I was a kid. I've done that for about two years and lego released the first Modular buildings. I've completely fallen in love with them and became a minifig scale builder. At the same time I started to go to events. At first as a visitor but later also as exhibitor. For the next several years I've created created several modular buildings and small vehicles. There are photo in my Flickr stream but most of the photo's can be found in my brickshelf account (which I rarely use anymore). Here is a group photo of most of my MOC's from back then: Modular street by Tijger-San, on Flickr A fews years back I took a break because I bought a house and got ill. Luckily I recovered and in the end 2012 I got back into the hobby and spent most of 2013 building my very first medieval creations, which I must admit enjoyed very very much! The creations where for a collaborative layout that me and some other very talented builders displayed at Lego World in oktober 2013 in the Netherlands. The other participants where Ecclesiastes, Elderon, JeroenD, MockingBird, Thomassio and KoffieMoc. There are more pictures in my photo stream, but I still regret that I did't take more pictures. My latest creation is a modular building for the Modular Moc Madness contest on lowlug.nl. It is a coffee bar in a french style. It has a complete interior but since I've already posted enough pictures I just keep it at one. There are more photo's in my Flickr stream.
