  1. thanks for your thoughts 1.)after try out LDD and SR3D , i will not make CAD instructions. It takes more time than make a partlist manually. and as far as i know rebrickable want a partlist from the moc which is generated by CAD. so this is not an option. 2.) if i have text, iam using english and german. but i reduce text to a minimum. 4.) ok, maybe i could invent a adapter to give an option for everyone. 7.) very good idea. i will add my efferman.brickshelf@freenet.de e-mail address in the instructions
  2. Hi folks a whole sunday with searching numbers results in this partlist. Only the lego number for the blue rubber belt is still missing. (Edit: i have found it) I have tried to use so much original parts as possible. The builder has only 225 parts to buy. these parts will be photographed later, when i redo the instruction, to show the new part colours and fix some bugs. can you please tell me your opinion about the partlist?
  3. cool, and it seems that you have the same problem like me before my dark ages. With one difference, you had the idea with stabilizer wheels
  4. i know alasdair that it is a "ilegal" technique, but iam and the parts have no problems with it.
  5. ok, i have changed the link to the picture instruction
  6. 1.and 2.) ok, my next instruction will have both numbers and pictures instead the description. And i have signed in in rebrickable and will test it with my offroad hotrod instructions 3.) it is on the to do list 6.and alasdair)CAD is not my favourite i test out only the posibilitys.
  7. hi, simply use the "mit anderen teilen" Button, then mark "BB Code" and set the size on 500. now click the link that appears in the Textfield, and copy it here in your post. if you made it correct it will look like this 100_8797 von efferman auf Flickr
  8. ok, both possibilitys yes it was my intention, but iam a noob in LDD. currently iam testing it at my 9395 RC mod. thats a good hint. currently iam rebuilding my 8109 with my instruction, and some Steps are too big or not clearly to see what is happen. so i will redo the instruction with some improvements in visibility.
  9. Hi folks some peoples want instructions for my RC Mods, and most of this people seems to be beginners with a small spare part count. an example: my 8109 RC mod instructions contains a full english partlist with Bricklink part numbers. one of the interrested people has no skill in english so he can not identify the Parts or using Bricklink. 1.) should a good partlist have Bricklink and Lego Part numbers. Or be the numbers (tlg and bricklink) are the same? 2.) should the partlist have pictures instead of english desription? 3.) should parts be marked which are not contained in the original set? next point is the battery box and other special parts. iam using the recheargable battery instead the stock battery box. 4.) should i design my mods with possibility to use the battery box or should i make simply a reference to the AAA battery box? 5.) should i design my models, if possible, without special things like bionicle parts which i used in my 19 wide tandem axle? 6.) is a LDD (extended)version of the instruction a good idea? 7.) Have you any other idea what is neccessary for a good instruction? thanks for sharing your time
  10. good job blakbird. even if i had made not a RC conversion of 9395, i had made the tandem wheel option too. it is a minimum at these tow trucks
  11. the instruction for my 9395 will come, but let me a few days before i dismantle it to make the instruction. LDD is a fight for me, so this is not an option. and then want some people for my 8109 RC mod a pictured partslist in german with the parts which not contained in 8109. this would be nearly impossible, because there are not the correct tire sizes available. Big Scale absolutely yes, but not in 8110 Scale by the way, is in the web a partlist available with all Lego Parts? including Bricklink and TLG part number?
  12. its hard to translate a german saying/adage/byword to english. i hope it means: dont to be insistent that i make the big 8109 real.i want build the big 8109, but i can not guarantee that i am realize it. when i made my instruction you will see, that there is nothing special in it. small? this flatbed truck would be 32 studs wide.
  13. sometimes i wish the IR sensors would be, like the LED lights, at the end of a Cable. in my opinion this would make the IR system much more flexible and would not need so ugly solutions. The big 8109 would be in 1:10 also in a bigger scale than 8110. please nail me not at the wall with the big 8109. alone the flatbed would need ca. 40 5x11 rectangular panels. in the same scale like 9395? let me calculate, 1:15 21 studs wide, this should be possible. hm nice idea, a fleet of tow trucks.
  14. to fold the fork automatically? All of the real tow trucks which i had in my fingers, even the big ones, had folded it manually. So it is not neccessary for me. maybe in the big 8109 (8110 tires) which is sometimes buzzing in my head.
  15. yes , only with a new rear axle
  16. i wish you a happy new year and a lot of new technic sets
  17. thanks for all of your praise. i hope you like the following Video too
  18. thanks guys. i had thought that the Rear end ( behind the tires) should be so short as possible, and round fenders are in my eyes a good solution for that. tomorrow/ today/sunday the first i will make a vid to show you all functions in detail. good night
  19. happy new year my 9395 RC Mod is finished it contains the features: Remote controlled driving and steering (return to center) remote controlled Towing fork remote controlled Winch with mechanical fast release working steering wheel trailer attach point
  20. then i have no idea why it not works
  21. in my moc iam using two of the blue rubberbands and if there are much friction in the steering mechanism, it will not go back to the center
  22. mlcad, ldraw and similar things are not my world, but i can make you a picture instruction. what is your problem with the mechanism?
  23. yes it has return to center. i have made some pics from a testing dummy which should show you how it works
  24. oh my goddess, the alouette is amazing. it looks so real.
