Technic Pub

Where abouts? I occasionally do crazy road trips - for example, round trip from New Haven to Hellertown just to go to the closest Waffle House. Could make a slight detour to see the Springsteen Museum. -
Bricklink Designer Program Trains Sets | 2024 & Beyond

Ordered two, not sure to display them front/back or perhaps build a B unit. I may have missed it, is there a link or location to the B unit instructions? -
What Will Happen to Your LEGO When You’re Gone?
JGW3000 replied to Paul B Technic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, I'm still enjoying my collection with no plans to stop, while my kids conspire behind my back to list my sets on marketplaces. So, not an issue for me, my descendants already know what to do when I kick the brick. Regardless, having a plan is always a good thing, and prevents being a burden on the executor of your estate. -
General Part Discussion
JGW3000 replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
SLS parts - I am curious how much of a commitment LEGO has to making these. Since I am not familiar with the technology, can anyone estimate how long it would take to print the small train in the new Winter Train set? Multiply this by the number of WT sets they may sell - maybe 50,000?, then divide by the length of the production run, maybe 2 or 4 weeks?, then you have the number of SLS machines, plus engineering and prototypes. How much does each machine cost? If this effort is less than say $1-2MM, then its a fad. If this effort to make SLS parts is more than, maybe $10MM, we are going to see more of these parts if we like or or not.- 5,768 replies

Set 21362 has created a great deal of excitement in the rock/mineral/nature collector community. Any idea when it might ship in October, available for pre-orders now.
-
Yup, I should have checked - https://www.railpictures.net/photo/693421/ thought it looked familiar. If I get the set, I'll get some custom stickers made.
-
Glad it worked, but I am a bit concerned about the 'max load limit' and 'no step' stickers being ignored

Please correct me if I am wrong, are these the colors for Santa Fe Railroad?

As a fan of Virtual Railfan on Youtube, I think you've done a great job modeling BNSF engines - there are still some of the old green runs in use, although many are being retired. Any plans to add the logo on the side? Black or the rare 'golden swoosh.?

"The Local" - Emperor of the North in Lego
JGW3000 replied to Glenn Holland's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Emperor of the North is one of those unrecognized film classics (cult film). Awesome to see the train and Shack, A-1, and the rest of the crew as well. -
That's really cool. I can see you had some connections issues, lets not look at the underside

Nice, Amazon US has it from RRP of $699.99. More interesting is the number of sales, Amazon claims over 50 units sold with only 4 remaining, as of 2 Aug 23. Not sure if this is disappointing or good.
